OK, so if I'm not mistaken, on my 180 (+10) days I need to book the following:

2 x Speciality cruise (for the same time and location)
2 x Tours
ADRs for first 10 days, some for large groups.....

How do I best organise who I'm calling to ensure I get them?

Should I try and get Concierge (or whatever the abbreviation is of them ?CRO?) to help with the boats etc?

The speciality cruises go within minutes! So that would be the best option to phone and do those as soon as the numbers open! It might sound paranoid but we had to get 2 for one night on our wedding trip and as it was so important i phoned up the week before and noted down which numbers i had to press to get through to the right person and ensure i got them. As previously i have phoned within 5 minutes and they had all been fully booked. That being said this was back when the cruises were substantially cheaper and more of a bargain so not sure if the demand has gone or not.

If your staying in concierge at the Grand Floridian i would be inclined to contact them and see if they can do your ADR's and tours for you.

Boats first then ADRs then tours last.

We have booked tours well under the 180 so I would ask IPO at. The GF to deal with them if it is during the time you are staying there.

You may want a game plan on the adrs such as large groups first.

Good luck:goodvibes

Ah! IPO, that's the one! :rotfl: I knew it ended with an 'O'....

They are for our wedding reception, thought it was a fun way to fill an our, so I might see if the GF can help us booking them. It's for a Tuesday, not at Wishes time, so fingers crossed I won't need to fight too many people for them.

I assume you know that when you're booking adrs through the regular dining reservation line, there is a limit on the party size? I want to say the limit is 8 people but I'm not certain. For groups larger than that you have to call the restaurant direct.

We had our VR reception dinner at Yachtsman's and my birthday dinner at Narcoosees (both for 14 guests) and I had to call both restaurants direct to make the booking. I had to call several times because both places have answering machines and ask you to leave your number and they'll call you back. The problem with this is they can't make international calls so I just had to keep trying until I got a person on the phone. I eventually got my planner to help with the reception dinner - she got the restaurant staff to email me, but I had to call Narcoossees many times before I got lucky LOL.

You shouldn't have any problem with the boats if its not fireworks time. We had the Grand 1 for Wishes and got it without too much difficulty.

Good luck!

Torsie, I just wondered if you could get your DF to make some of the phone calls at the same time. Is it at all possible for you each to have access to a different landline when the booking office opens?

Torsie I was able to make regular adrs at 190 days before online, this was earlier than ipo. There is a thread in the restaurants board about how to go about this.

Once your room is booked ipo should send you a questionnaire and you add in all the tours etc you want to book and they have it on record. If you don't get one via email, just email the grand Floridian ipo address (on resort board) and request one.

Hope this helps!

:) Thanks Gemma,

I've not had anything through from IPO, but I need to give reservations a ring to check what room we're down for and add extra nights, so I guess I can ask then. :)
