180 days - 6 a.m. and still could not get more than 4 of our ADR's

We arrive on Dec 8. I know things change all the time but the crowds don't look near as low as I was hoping.

I don't think you can read too much into overall crowd levels based on difficulty getting the higher-profile ADRs.

I also had difficulty getting the moderate resort stays for the dates I wanted to go. Hence a split stay at Pop Century and POR. Which, of course, made getting ADR's even harder to get as I was only able to do my first 5 days and then the last 3. I had free dining only for the QSDP for the first stay at Pop but crunched numbers and figured that I would take the Canadian ticket discount instead of the free dining. I did not get BOG for any meal during the first portion and only lunch on the last portion but by a stroke of luck, was able to snag a dinner ADR by stalking the boards. Everyone keep trying!

OK - After reading all the comments, is there any top secret plan or magic on getting a reservation at BOG for dinner? My dates 12/13 to 12/17 and although my window is not open yet until next week and with two MK Christmas Party nights, I am super anxious. We haven't done BOG on the last two trips, but certainly want one for this trip. It's my 50th and my daughter's 16th birthday and that's all we want. Any other suggestions to snag one......?????

You really do need to start right when they open and it does work to start with the last days of your trip versus the first days. You can also try two devices at once or have someone else try too. When trying for F&W event reservations, I have multiple phones on hold!

Another thing I do is simply choose dinner rather than a specific time, unless you are trying to time a meal around fireworks or a parade.

Of course the Christmas Party will throw a clinker unless you plan on going to eat during the party. If you don't, be careful, because I was once so excited to get a BOG reservation until I realized it was during a party time when I wasn't going.

Finally, if you don't get it at first, keep trying, right up to the day you want to go. My past trip I checked every day for reservations and was able to snag a late 'Ohana dinner.

Having the exact same problem as the OP. Got up at 6am 180 day out and was extremely frustrated to only get about half of what I wanted. This has never happened before in all my trips. There is no way everything is sold out so there is obviously an issue with the system. I went both online and called and the CMs could not help. I could not get Garden Grill, or CRT at all. California grill only had a 9pm slot. Even the plaza only had an 11am slot. I got lucky with BoG bfst but they only had 1 time slot open and I wanted something earlier so we could get to the mine train at opening. There is talk that Disney is doing a major update today (6/9). Hopefully everything will be back up and good to go by tomorrow and a lot more slots will be open. Strangely, I couldn't even make a payment on the balance for my trip either.

For those of you who say they are holding reservations for the CP package, they did open some regular ADRs up at the Garden Grill and other "CP restaurants" because people on these boards have ADRs there but they must of only allowed a handful because now there is nothing at Garden Grill. Even 180 days out. Very frustrating because those of us who got up early on our day are now at a disadvantage when the system is restored to normal.

Got off the phone w Disney Dining. A very helpful agent said Disney is holding all reservations during Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. So not only is that making it difficult as you know what to get a reservation, but also it's creating a ripple effect across Disney for seats at the popular places.

So that's a reasonable explanation for the troubles for all of us.

okay.... getting discouraged....... I will still get up and be on the computer at 3 am tomorrow to see i I am able to get what we want...... have a medical fasting day so, no coffee for me.....hope I'm functional....

Update from us, we are split stay and today was our second 180 day mark so we got up at 5:45 and had MUCH better luck. Got Ohana, crystal palace and be our guest. All of which we had trouble with on Thursday (our first 180 day mark). I also saw chef Mickey, le cellier, California grill among others.

A few possible observations. Our first part of the stay was only 2 nights so no real lead over anyone else. Our second stay is 3 nights so a slightly better advantage. Also, this is when pop warner is done I think so maybe they were hogging the ADR's in the middle of the week? All pure speculation but if your 180 day mark is coming up maybe your luck won't be so bad.

We had better luck today so good luck. Just don't book a same day ADR like I did on Thursday with no coffee.

I'm staying at BWV 12/2-12/8. I tried to book the Bon Voyage breakfast when my window opened, nothing. I find it hard to believe that it would be booked up that fast. I booked Boma instead.

It appears that Trattoria may now be part of the CP packages. That might be why.

I went to Disney last year 12/3-12/8 and I was able to grab ohana and akershus around October both just randomly checking. You can also sign up for touring plans. Do not worry! You will get them!

This might explain part of the issue. I have my mvmcp tickets and would like to have dinner at CRT on my party night. But we have no idea when they will release these. On top of this, there are definitely website and app issues. Yesterday I could see my 180 + 10 dates, today no + 10. And how do we explain the Garden Grill? They are obviously holding a lot of ADR's for the Candelight processional packages, but I know of several disers who were able to get an ADR the same week and then there are many of us who see zero availability who got up at 6am 180 days out....this seems unfair. When they do open up the reservations, everyone is going to have the same chance of getting them making my getting up early seem like it was for no reason. Not to mention, can't even modify my California Grill slot or even the plaza because there is nothing available....Disney needs to get it together or there will be a lot of unhappy people.

Today was my 180 mark. I got online at 4am and I was able to get everything I wanted. I just started with the hardest to get and put them at the end of my trip and worked backwards. I reserves 'ohana, bog, le cellier, biergarten, r&c, homecoming, and 3:40 at espn on a Monday. All were great times except Homecoming

I guess I was worried for nothing... haha. I will probably keep trying to get a better day for rose and crown. Lunch at espn at 3:50 and then dinner at rose and crown at 6:15 will not work.

So did many other Epcot restaurants. Our TA just emailed me that she got GG and R&C for us that week.
