180 days - 6 a.m. and still could not get more than 4 of our ADR's

Man, just tried a couple places (BOG and Narcossee's) for Dec. 3rd and squat. I thought this was all just overblown, lol. I've never actually tried to ADR this early before either, so it's a real turn off. I was just as well off trying 3 months ahead of time!

Free dining was a lot more available in September then November and still ADRs for September. It seems to only affecting 11/25-12/1. Before thanksgiving I still see things and after 12/1 seems normal.

Completely agree with this. Those are our exact travel dates and we tried at 6 am 180 days out and there was literally zero availability for Akershus or Ohana dinner for the entire time that we're there.

I can understand that there could be some Akershus availability once the Candelight Processional stuff comes out (although still doesn't completely satisfy me as to why I can't get one reservation 6 months out); but how can Ohana be booked the entire week from 4-10 pm 6 months out?? I have to be honest; it's made us start to rethink future Disney vacations. If you can't get ONE reservation to the place your family really wants to eat at 6 months out...are there better ways/places to spend your $$ where you can get what you want? I understand we need to be willing to compromise (which we definitely are) but come one...not even one time slot???

(sorry for the venting!)

If you need a better time for Yak & Yeti, call them directly. (407) 939-3463 They only give Disney a handful of their ADR's, If you call they will have lots of times available.

Also, for Narcossee's, there's lots of Brunch times available now, if they weren't before.

Thank you. Once I know real AK times I might do that. And I was looking for dinner at Narcoosses.

The beginning of December is also Pop Warner week. Maybe that is contributing as well.

Just wanted to chime in and say that maybe using a reservation finder service like the one touring plans offers might help? I originally couldn't get BOG or Chef Mickey's for any meal during any day of our trip and was eventually able to get them both thanks to the TP service.

PP, i also have a split reservation for the first time ever. At 180 days, I could only book for the first 5 days and then 5 days later, i was then able to book the last four. No BOG dinner, for either of 2 days (or for the first portion of our trip on ANY day for ANY meal). And I got up at 3am PST to do so. So disappointed. Later that same day I checked on line and was lucky to find a BOG dinner at 4:15. A bit later may have been nice but I am very grateful for this time. BTW, our first stay is Nov 26-Dec 1 and the second Dec 1-5.

I am wondering if Disney holds back a certain number of reservations for a while. I hadn't run into this issue until the last vacation we planned. Eventually, reservations did show up for some of the more difficult restaurants to obtain.

The reservation finder tool absolutely helps. Honestly, I don't think there's ever been a reservation I wanted that I didn't ultimately get. You might need to be flexible on date and time, but you'd be surprised how often cancellations happen. Be patient, and you'll wind up with something acceptable.

I agree with this. I AM starting to wonder if the week after Thanksgiving is starting to become more popular and will be a lot busier than anticipated. That said - I've gone to Disney a few times in September and May, and ultimately I've gotten the reservations that I wanted. I was lucky this time and got what I wanted pretty much at the start, but my trip three years ago we didn't even book until around 120 days or something and eventually I got everything I wanted. I just kept checking. They didn't have the touring plans reservation finder then, but I utilized the cancellation boards heavily.

I have been seeing availability for BOG dinners on party nights, but dinner ends at 5:55pm on those days (which is the time I wanted). Garden Grill PPO breakfasts for 6, however, are hard to come by for me! I'm doing a split stay, and I am not able to book for the second part, which is consistent with what I had heard previously.

Also having trouble with December 1-8. I have never had problems 180 days out.

Someone pointed me to this thread after I started a similar one. I'm also the beginning of December and was frustrated by running into the same problem. Have been going that time of year for four years running now and never ran into this before.

Cheerleaders and I believe Soccer players I believe? I read in another post that there were 400 Cheerleader groups and 40 or so Soccer Teams there
What is Pop Werner week?
There will be cheer groups and soccer groups that week for competitions I believe. I read in another thread that there are 400 cheer groups and 60+ soccer groups traveling to Disney the first full week in December. But this is nothing new, so not sure why this year is different from previous years for the same time.

Pop Warner is a youth football and cheer organization. Championships for both football and cheer are held annually at WDW.
