180 Day Dining Reservations Unsuccessful at Epcot December 4 to 13, 2012 for L & D.

Finally got the ADR's I wanted (lunch at Coral Reef on 12/14 and dinner at Rose and Crown [changed my mind from Le Cellier])! Now, I'm just waiting to see if an 8:30 p.m. ADR opens up for Jiko on the night of our wedding (currently have 9 p.m.) Thank you SO much Ray for the PM!

On June 14th, I was able to get ADRs for Biergarden for dinner for 12/11 and Teppan Edo for 12/14 also for dinner. No problems, did on line.

My 180 day booking window opened on June 11. I was able to make all my ADR online EXCEPT Le Cellier for lunch on 12/13, and Garden Grill for dinner on 12/8. When I called, the cast member I spoke to said pretty much the same thing you said: they're not taking reservations for the most popular restaurants until the CP is established. She said I should follow the Disney blog for news and keep trying.
So, I've been trying, every day.
This morning I was able to score my dinner res. at Garden Grill AND lunch at Le Cellier for the dates I wanted.
My question, though, is, can I switch my lunch res. at Le Cellier for a CPP as soon as that becomes available?

Hi. I think the key word is "switch".

From my understanding and past experience, a regular dining reservation is different from the Candlelight Processional Package with lunch/dinner.

Each show is matched with a certain time slot for dining at each restaurant that is within the Candlelight Processional Package.

So the simple answer is no.

In past years, I think that the shows were at 5pm, 645pm and 815pm.

I believe, when I chose the 815pm show, I was given the choice of dining reservations between 5pm to 6pm. But this was a past year, and it sounds like they may be completely different this year if they are thinking about adding more time slots at the more popular restaurants.

If the 5pm show was chosen, then the dining choices were between 145pm to 245pm.

If the 645pm show was chosen, then the dining choices were between 330pm to 430pm.

When you do call for your Candlelight Processional Package, they will ask you which of the three show times that you would like to attend, and then ask you which restaurant that you would like to dine at.

Each show will have a specific time range to chose from for dining.

After making your CLP Package, they can cancel your conflicting regular dining reservation.

Some people believe that their "regular" dining reservation is switched because they may have chosen regular dining reservation time as being pretty close to the CLP Package dining reservation. But the two reservations are different.

If they don't ask you to cancel your regular dining reservation, remember that if it a restaurant like Le Cellier Steakhouse, Disney will still charge your credit card for a no show. So after you confirm you CLP Package, be sure to cancel your conflicting regular dining reservation.

Now I am waiting for the Candlelight Processional Package list of restaurant prices before they open up on June 26, 2012.

Well, after meticulously planning our December trip, fretting over not being able to get PS reservations at Le Cellier, then finally getting them, I find out my future DIL is pregnant, and due January 22nd, and her, my son, and her 6yo son were going on the December trip with us! Needless to say, I had to cancel our December reservation at VWL, boo hoo, and all our PS reservations, which included not only Le Cellier, but Ohana & Chef Mickey's. Oh well. I can't be too sad, as I am getting my second grandchild!!! Some folks will be very happy to be picking up my cancelled reservations.

We decided to switch our trip to early October, but needless to say, was unable to book any of my fav resorts. We were lucky to get the two-bedroom we needed at SSR. Got most of the PS reservations I wanted, except for Le Cellier, Ohana, & Chef Mickey's. What was that saying about the best laid plans?
