We booked our vacation pkg through AAA. Will I still be able to book my dining at 180+10 (staying at Pop)? Or will I have to have my TA at AAA book it for us since they technically "own" the reservation? I HATE giving up that kind of control...I know the TA tried to make a big deal about "we'll even book your dining choices for you" when we booked the trip, but I just sort of shrugged it off since I had no intention of letting someone else do that for me. Only used AAA for the discount in the first place! normally I'm a micro-manager!

We've booked our trip through a Disney TA in U.S. because we are in Australia and it is easier that way for me. She sent me an Email letting me know when I can make our ADR's and gave me Disneys phone number if I wished to phone them direct but she also said she could make them for me.

If you have a reservation number it does not matter who made the reservation for you, all you need to do is give the CM your reservation number and your telephone number in order to make ADRs.

By the same token, if you're using a travel agent, they should be willing to make the calls for you, on the proper day to ensure you get what you want. Of course, it is always a risk, since most (non-Disney-specific) travel agents don't appreciate (or care about) the importance of timeliness in this regard.

I booked through AAA and made my own calls. A friend of mine just booked 180+6 the other day and she also booked through AAA. You just need to give them your reservation number when you call. At first I was irritated that my agent didn't offer and when I asked she was less than thrilled, but in the end I am happy because I was in control. I guess you can say I am a micromanager myself.:)

The hard part about having another person do them for you is that if the time you want isn't available, then he/she won't really know your schedule to be able to adjust accordingly unless you are super specific. It is probably easier to do them on your own so you can make adjustments right then and there while on the phone.

With a AAA pkg you can book your own adrs.I did my own, not because i did not trust my Ta, but because most mornings she does not get in the office till after 0700am.Since I wanted Le Cellier I did my own.
