17 Days of Wishes Come to Life- A Sept. 08 WDW and DCL Adventure 3/27 new link posted

Jaycns,
I'm finally all caught up with your trip report :goodvibes . Sorry about your nasty room at WL. That stinks that they didn't do the allergy cleaning after you doing everything to make sure it was done. Your family is adorable as always. The little Prince is getting so big and he is just beautiful. i loved reading about your sappy moment and your Anniversary dinner too. Blueman Group sounds like a must see, wonder what ages of kids would enjoy it most? Loved all your AK pics! Unfortunately KRR was having technical problems when we were there. It's one of DD's favorites.
I think that kids as young as four would do well with it. Honestly, as long as they can sit still for an hour and a half without losing it, I think that show would interest them. And, at least of the kids I personally know, I am having a harder time figuring out if the young kids or the teens would like it more. It was a show with broad appeal. I do plan on taking our eldest three to the show next time we make it to Orlando (and hopefully that is next year). I think it would be hard to not get into it.

Most TRs don't keep my attention long. But I'm always checking for updates on yours.

Thanks for making the effort to write one.
That is one of the nicest things anyone has said in a long time!:goodvibes Thanks for that sweet compliment. And WELCOME! I hope you stick with me. :)

UP NEXT: The rest of our day at DAK followed by an evening at the Polynesian!

Good luck on getting the Coffee Two Ways dessert! Make sure you let me know if you were able to order it. I think dh would really enjoy that one and I would like to be able to track it down for him in the future if it's available.:thumbsup2

Will do! :goodvibes

yay I found your trip report :cool1: It seems you had the exact problems that we did at the lodge. Kind of colored my view of the place too. You handled yourself much better than I did. LOL. Your anniversary dinner sounded wonderful. I love the food pics!!! Everything sounds wonderful so far and I can not wait to hear about how all your plans played out. The boys are getting so big. WOW they grow up fast. Love the report so far.

:rotfl:
HA HA HA. It was seriously "yummo" (love that word Heidi!). Tell that MIA friend of ours, Barb, that I miss her. And then whip her tail until she shows up over here. :lmao:

I will find her and demand her around!!!!! :rotfl:

Following our delicious lunch we headed over to the Kilimanjaro Safari. We thought that after a morning spent pursuing thrills we would do a little bit of park style relaxing during the afternoon. For those keeping count, I got to ride SIX big rides...all before lunch! The bravest of the boys (Aladdin and Stitch) who had chosen to ride each of the rides had rode 7! There count went like this: 2 Dinosaur, 3 Expedition Everest, 2 Kali River Rapids! But back to the relaxing part of our day...which started with a leisurely safari. Well, leisurely until the poachers disturbed us at least. Ha ha ha.

I think the best way to share the safari with you all is to let you absorb it the way I did...from behind the lens of my camera.

For me, the safari never loses it's appeal. I am like a kid in a candy store when it comes to me seeing wild animals in natural like habitats. My goal is to take our boys on a real African safari before any of them go off to college. I must say, from what I remember of having been in Africa as a child, Disney really did hit the nail on the head. It's really like stepping out of FL and into Africa when you step on to the ride.

After having photo snapping fun on the safari we headed over to It's Tough to be a Bug. I love how you feel as if you are shrinking when you head down the path toward the attraction. By the time you get down there, you are "ant sized". I think it's one of the best done queues in all of WDW (DAK seems to have taken the cake as far as that goes on almost all of their rides!).

I also love how you get an up close look at the tree of life while you are walking down the path toward the attraction. Don't even get me started on how beautiful I think that is!

Each time we experience It's Tough to be a Bug, we really enjoy reading the posters that are up on the wall. This time I snapped a few pictures.

The boys had a lot of fun pretending that the giant dung ball was "fresh". How STINKY would that be!
DisneySept08062.jpg

I was worried that our Little Prince would be upset with some of the more intense moments during the show. Once again, it was a worry without need. He LAUGHED at Hopper and didn't even flinch when the spiders dropped from the sky.

Following our time as bugs, we saw Terk hanging out. Our Little Prince was once again enthralled with a character. I loved watching his eyes start to glow! This was the first time I saw him see a character and I enjoyed every second of it!!
DisneySept08059-1-1.jpg

You can see in the picture below how his eyes didn't leave Terk. He was so happy to see him. It's almost like my love for Disney (and the characters) seeped into him while he was in the womb.
DisneySept08058.jpg

As we walked away from Terk, Aladdin started pin trading with a CM and she ended up being a Dream Team member. After trading pins with him, she asked him if he wanted to play a trivia game. She then started asking him about Disney songs. It was sort of a can-you-finish-these-lyrics sort of challenge. She told him she would start quoting the lyrics of a Disney song and he would finish up the line. She told him she would quiz him with three songs and for each one he was able to do, she would give him an extra pin. Although the songs totally escape me now, I know that Aladdin did end up three pins the richer.:yay: Here he is holding up the Magical Moments certificate he was given to commemorate the challenge.

Stitch requested a third ride on Dinosaur, so while dh and the other boys took a breather at the Boneyard, Stitch and I took our third ride with the dinos.

Coming up:Snack time and our Little Prince sees his first Disney parade!

Oh Jay....I am all caught up and I must say I LOVE your TR. Your trip just sounds fabulous. How neat that you were able to do all those rides before lunch!!! Your day at AK sounds like a blast. I really must explore that park this December as our exposure to it has been TRULY limited, to say the least!!!

Ohhh and yeah for you seeing the Little Prince with a character!!! Hopw sweet is he!!!!!

Hooray for Aladdin winning those 3 pins!!! He looks so proud....reminds me of the story of his dear Dad winning that puzzle. Hahahah.

Anxiously awaiting the next chapter!!!

Ohh and per our previous discussion Jay...don't forget this:

WE NEED TO SEE MORE PICTURES!!!!

NOTE: For anyone who agrees, please tell Jay as she is totally holding back!!! :lmao:

YOU DID?! Which store? Does the store you saw them in have a website?! I NEED (well, want is more like it, but I want very much) to find more of them to stuff stockings with! :thumbsup2 TIA for any info!

It's a local store up here called Neat Things, not sure if they have a website. :confused3

That's so neat that you spent time in Africa as a child! I bet your boys would just have a blast on a *real* African safari; they'll be old pros by the time they make it over there;). Going to Africa is on my list of life goals; I've crossed of Hawaii, China, Paris and Rome, but still have a ways to go!

It's funny how our experiences early in life totally shape our experiences later in life; I bet that by the time he's walking, your Little Prince will be the most easygoing, flexible, non-picky kid his age. Your family is always smiling, cheerful and positive in your pics (and I realize that every family has their moments:rotfl: ), and you all seem to be having so much fun with life! Your kids will grow up knowing what vacations really are and how to make the most of their time with family and friends. Thanks for taking the time to share with us!

Great Safari pics! I also love the ones with Terk. We couldn't find him last week at AK :confused3 DS really wanted to see him because he has been watching Tarzan alot lately. Maybe next year. Can't wait for more popcorn:: .

Here comes the "I told you so!". I couldn't help myself. Dh and the big boys were freezing because of them being soaking wet and us being in an air conditioned building. So learn from dh and the boys...don't ride a ride that can get you wet before a sit down meal at WDW or if you do, use a poncho! If you don't heed this advice, you will be cold during your meal as well! ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yummy food pics again!! And I love the safari too!! It's one of my favorite attractions at WDW!

Tell that MIA friend of ours, Barb, that I miss her. And then whip her tail until she shows up over here. :lmao:

I'm here, I'm here!!!! No "tail-whippin" necessary!

I am glad that someone else sees the point in wearing a poncho. :lmao: I went once without one. I was soaked the rest of the day right down to my unmentionables as well! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

See my response in red.

I wear a poncho on KRR, too. (Great minds, huh?) DH didn't last time & he got SOAKED!!! It was soooo funny. When we got off the raft, some of the people waiting in line were asking him "Where were you sitting?" Either they wanted to get soaked, or DIDN'T want to get soaked. But they were convinced there was a certain spot to sit in to get either result. We laughed so hard over that. IT'S A RAFT, PEOPLE! A CIRLCE!!!! Hey- try sitting in the front!!! :confused3 :lmao: :rotfl:

Anyway - loving the report, even when it seems like I'm MIA, boys are adorable, of course. Loved DH winning the prize. Sounded just like how my DH would act if he won a prize, too.

I'm off to read your update.

PRESENT & ACCOUNTED FOR -:flower3:

Hugs -

Barb

Thanks! Good luck in your quest!

Of course I don't mind, help yourself! :thumbsup2
Thank you so much, I don't mind if I do! ;) I am often drooling. ;)

Turns out that my plans didn't always work out. My whole plan to head over to FW and see the petting zoo, take a wagon ride, go to the campfire and sing-a-long, meet Chip and Dale and watch a movie sort of got left in the dust. :rotfl: We simply ran out of time and energy. I guess that just leaves me a reason to go back to WDW! :thumbsup2 It's good to see you here! And I am glad that the food pictures are appreciated. They make my tummy rumble to post some of them! :rotfl:

You really do need to explore DAK in depth. YOU ARE MISSING SO MANY GREAT PHOTO OPS THERE! You do have a day planned there this December, don't you?!

Thanks, I am going to go and look that up now! I thought last Christmas the shopping was hard only having to find Gremlins things....this takes the cake, I am now looking for Gremlins stuff they don't already have AND voodoo dolls!:rotfl: Just put me out of my misery! :lmao:

Aww, that's too bad. I remember that one year we looked high and low for DONALD DUCK and we couldn't find him anywhere. My boys were on a mission the next year to find him as soon as they could. :rotfl2: I think I will pop Tarzan on later today. It's a great movie and I really love the music from it too!! I need to head back over to your trip report! *hint, she writes a good one!*

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yummy food pics again!! And I love the safari too!! It's one of my favorite attractions at WDW!
It is so funny that they didn't listen about the ponchos and then ended up wishing that they had. :lmao: Sometimes, mom really does know best! :rotfl2:

I am wondering if we will see the official Disney EE photo of you and the boys coming down the huge hill on the roller coaster? Did you get one?
