17 Days of Wishes Come to Life- A Sept. 08 WDW and DCL Adventure 3/27 new link posted

i really just love your trip report. :goodvibes Your Little Prince is SO handsome! i love all the pictures from the Pirate Party, that hat is just hysterical!!

i'm going to be SO sad when this trippie is over! please go on vacation again soon!

Okay, you've convinced me! I must look into planning a Disney Cruise. It looks amazing!

Good job at sticking with your intuition with the Taxi drivers. It can get a little intimidating and scarey especially when you have children with you. I am sooo impressed. Did you have the same taxi driver back to the ship? Did he wait for you?

Hello Jay!

I just finished reading your whole trip report. Omigosh.. where do I start?
I have absolutely loved Every.Single.Minute! Your family is so beautiful =) Stitch just cracks me up. I literally burst out laughing when I read the story with the storm troopers, and "Master Yoda." My boyfriend was sitting next to me, rolls his eyes and asked if I was reading 'those disney boards' again. I showed him what Stitch said and he laughed out loud. See? Slowly I am winning him over.. story by story. :lmao: And your Little Prince. Absolutely too cute for words. What a happy boy, he is!

I smiled when I read about your trip to Hell. :rotfl2: I have family in Ann Arbor, and took a trip to Hell, Michigan, myself, when I visited them this past August. I have a picture with my Aunt and myself in those cardboard cutouts with her as the devil and me as her victim. It's hilarious!

I have been contemplating adding a cruise to my June trip, and really appreciate the advice you have included!

You put so much time into planning your family's vacation, and it seems like such a memorable, once in a lifetime experience. The whole thing. Thank you so much for sharing. I can't wait to read more! :wave2:

Oh my gosh Jay...first off I LOVED seeing the pictures of the Little Prince and his 1st birthday cake!!! He really is adorable. I still say you should have been "brave" and given him his very own CHOCOLATE cake...lol...hahahahaha.

Now onto those beach pictures.....that looks like so much fun. I sure do miss living on the beach. Those trampolines in the water look so fun, and parasailing...wow how did your DH like that? I really think it would be a blast if I could get rid of my fear of heights...lol.

Hopefully you are busy writing up the next part of your AMAZING trip right now. I can't wait to read more and see lots of pictures!!

Love the update and my nephew just loved the LP's b-day pictures! He kept saying "He's all dirty! He needs a bath!" and I told him he was just having fun with his cake. (He didn't go crazy over his when he turned 1 - we think he's not a cake fan since he hasn't at any of his subsequent birthdays either!) He went "Woah!" at the turtles and wanted to get in the water when he saw those beach pictures. So now along with me you have a 3-year-old fan in Schaumburg!

WOW What a great day at Paradise Beach!! I can't believe i went to Cozumel every week for a year and never heard of it! Well...i didn't make it past the pier bar very often. :rotfl: You guys are having such a wonderful trip! I only hope our trip is 1/2 as fun as yours!

Looks like the LP enjoyed his birthday cake! So cute! Thanks for all the information about Paradise Beach - I'm adding it to my new "Cruise Information" folder for a future trip. Looked like the kids (and adults - nice drink in a coconut!) had a great time! :thumbsup2

Sorry that I have been MIA, we have been without power since Tuesday (a huge ice storm). Just last night we 'gave up' and ventured to my in-laws to wait out the electric coming back on. It was no fun without power and a boil water advisory and cold weather. Add in four kids and you see why we ran away from home. ;)

I will update as soon as I am able to get back on my own computer. :)

Awww sorry to hear this Jay...definitely sounds like a good reason to run away from home though. Hahaha. Glad you guys are safe and with power at the in-laws. Think of it as a mini-vacation...hahahahahaha...I know, I know...probably not like conceirge at the AK Lodge. Hahahaha.

Take care and hope to hear from you soon!!!

I'm all caught up on your TR after being away on our trip - Priate night looks like SO much fun! I love that first pic of your family on the white background-just beautiful. Everyone's costumes were great too!! Your blue dress is beautiful-great color for you!

Paradise Beach--wow. Stunning. What a fun day you all had!! Looks like even LP enjoyed the beach, huh? :goodvibes

His birthday cake pictures are really fun-I loved watching little ones smear their cake all over and get all messy! My nephews 3rd birthday party was tonight and it was still pretty messy with his cupcakes! :thumbsup2 He does look more grown up though...it just zips by so fast!!

Sorry to hear about the power loss! I hope everything gets back to normal for you soon.

Sorry to hear that you've been without power! We got hit by that ice storm too, but fortunately for us, we just got the edge of it, and while it shut everything down for a couple of days, we didn't have any power issues. I hope everything is back to normal for you soon!!

I was wondering if you were affected by that storm. When are they expecting the power to be back on?

Good luck!!

Sorry you are stuck with no power! How did you last 4 days with no heat? I"d have left after an hour! It's so friggin cold here now! :crazy2:

Ugh - hope you get back home soon! pixiedust:

I am finally home with power! :cool1: It was a full week for us...but I hesitate to complain for three reasons....one, over 300,000 people are still without power from the same ice storm and I really feel badly for them. Second, our power was restored in only half the time it took to come back on after the last ice storm (yes, that made it 14 days with no power for our family during the last big ice storm (back when Stitch was still a toddler). And third, I HAVE POWER!!!! I am too busy doing the happy dance over our heat, lights and hot water to stop and be grumpy. :):):)

Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. Although we didn't have the time of our lives camping out in our family room (running only our electric fireplace and lights and having only bottled water to drink/brush teeth with) it was far from awful. We made the best of it and ended up having a lot of fun. We saw a few movies (we tried to stay out as late as possible to keep us all from going stir crazy), ate out a ton (I didn't want to fire up the grill to make dinner when the temperatures were so low), did a lot of shopping (again, it kept us out of our dark/cold house), read The Jungle Book out loud together, listened to our Ipods and had fun snuggling up together.

Dh and I both agreed that we would like to enjoy a 'black out' again...without the actual power outage. Just hole up with the boys and enjoy spending time together. :) It was sort of fun (minus running up to freezing cold bathrooms when the need arose). It was not easy though. That's why we abandoned the idea of riding it out on Friday night and headed for the light/heat/fresh water at his parent's house. ;) It was MUCH more fun to hang out in a home where you could turn on the lights and find drinkable water. ;)

It is the most fun to be back home and be able to do those things here. I am so very happy to be home. We have days worth of clean up to do in our yard BUT...it really could have been much worse and after working outside in the cold...we now have a warm house to return too! :cool1:

We lost our power for 24 hrs when the hurrican ike force winds hit our area. Early Sept 08. DH and I said it really makes your appreciate electric and that there is hardly anything you can do without it anymore. The only bad thing was for us was that I was 9 mos pregnant and it was still hot!

Glad you got your power back!

Welcome back home! I'm glad the electricity is back on. We had an outage for 8 days after a hurricane and that was not fun so I am very happy for you guys to be home with all things electric! :goodvibes
