I love your pirate crew. LP looked too cute in his pirate hat for the pictures. I'm glad it wasn't a replay of the Mickey ears.

I like your pirate outfit as well. You looked nice in that shade of blue.
The food descriptions are making me so hungry! It all sounded delicious!
Once again two great updates!
Ha ha ha....see, I told you he doesn't normally mind wearing hats.

It really was ONLY that Mickey hat. Posting the food pictures makes me hungry too.
Another awesome day, Jay! (hey that rhymes!

) We've never been snorkeling, and after seeing all your pictures I can't wait for my family to try it. Pirate night seems so cool. I love how Disney really tries to get all families involved with the entertainment. Oh and LP in his pirate costume....too cute for words!
Is everyone feeling better in your household? Were you finally able to break out the cake for LP and celebrate his birthday?
Can't wait to hear about Cozumel!
YES, do try snorkeling. It's a favorite for everyone in our family. Well, almost everyone.
Aladdin does like snorkeling however, he still is not a big fan of the sea life that swims around him. He doesn't like to see what is swimming around near him in the open ocean (although he did fine with it until the whole iguana going right past in the man made reef).
I will post a few birthday pictures in my next post.

We celebrated four long days afterward. It really was one heck of a stomach flu. Ugh.
Pirate Night looks like so much fun! Your dinner soundes absolutely delicious, crab cakes are also my favorite. And everyone's costumes came out great!
Thanks. I collected stuff over the period of a few years for those pirate costumes.

The boys do love dressing up (and so do I!).
Looks like a great time and the pictures are wonderful! You all had great costumes!
I was happy to see more than half of the other passengers on the cruise dressed up in their pirate finery as well. It was so festive and so much fun!
I absolutely LOVE your family PIRATE pictures!!! Those are so adorable. Everyone totally looks the part, such great costumes all around!!! Again, I have to say Jay that you are truly making me dream of the day I get to "hopefully" go on a
Disney Cruise!!!!
Your meal sounds so delicious, I love crab cakes too so I would have asked for seconds there too. Hahaha.
Those food carvings are incredible!!! I wish I could do one like that for our block parties. Hahahaha. JK.
It's so nice the boys all love their clubs so much. I wonder if my little one would!
Anyway...love the update and can't wait for more!!!
I didn't get pictures of even half of the carvings and special touches. Honestly, I bet they had three times as much! And they all looked spectacular! I wish I could make that cute little monkey on a pineapple tree for a birthday party...however, I KNOW it wouldn't turn out anything like that...so I won't waste the fruit trying.
I have to say that I am amazed at ALL of the food on the cruise! It seems that there is food everywhere!! No problem being hungry on the ship!
The watermelon carvings are so detailed... ( I think they are watermelons!)
It seems like the cruise is even more fun for everyone with your friends onboard too. Makes it extra special with so many more memories.
Fireworks at sea! Wow! That must be quite a sight!
We could have eaten from the moment our eyes opened until the moment our eyes closed....Disney does NOT let you go hungry.

Jay, those costumes are incredible! I may have missed this, but did you make them?
LP's costume is especially precious; I don't think that I've ever seen a baby wear such fancy clothing and not be screaming and trying to wriggle out of it!
I'm with you on the midnight buffets; go and take pictures, but there's no way I can eat anything that late at night.

I've never been on a
DCL cruise, but on my
Royal Caribbean cruise in March, there was a midnight dessert buffet. From your pictures, it was nothing next to Disney's!
Our LP really doesn't mind getting dressed up (unless it's a life preserver or a Mickey hat)

.

He was fine the entire time he was in the pirate costume. In my three cruises I have yet to even make it to the midnight dessert buffet. There is just no way on earth I could even imagine eating after those huge dinners (and our pizza on deck snacks...haha).
I made Goofy's costume and bought all the rest...although we did spend a few years collecting the right "stuff" to go with them.

Dh actually left his real pirate shirt in the dirty laundry bag in our van and we had to buy him another pirate shirt while we were on the cruise.
Loved your recap of the Pirate Party. I missed ours and can't wait to the next cruise to enjoy it!
I love watching fireworks out over the open sea...it always feels really special to me.
Great costumes! I can't believe the Nugget kept his hat on!! And he has long fingers, doesn't he? Maybe a pro ball player!!
The picture of the family being all "piratey" was fab!
The whole party looked like so much fun. Lovin' this.
Keep it coming!
****fingers still crossed****
Keep those fingers crossed!!

All eleven of us at the table were decked out in our piratey best. It was so much fun to be an adult and get to play dress up too!
wonderful updates and fabulous pictures as always. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful memories with us all.
I would have loved to be with sea turtles. awesome !
I did adore the sea turtles, holding them and getting to snorkel with them too.
Great update, the cruise just looks so great. Your costumes were great, I love the pictures. And the food displays are amazing, only Disney could do that. I have definitely got to get on one of these cruises soon.
A Disney Cruise is as magical as the parks (I think) just in an entirely different way.
That looked like a lot of fun! You and your bunch looked fantastic. I'm glad you got some shots of the food scupltures - very nice!
I had to fight my way to the serving areas to get those shots.

It really is PACKED during the pirate party. It, along with the Sail Away Party are the only times when you feel crammed on to the ship. They only offer one pirate party/buffet so everyone on the entire ship who wants to attend has to then. In the dining room, you have two dinner rotations spread out in three main restaurants and a few other options on top of that. So, you don't 'see' everyone. Even the main performances are put on twice every night (and there are many other activities going at the same times as well). The big crowd is the one thing I dislike about pirate night.
The party sounds like fun and those table decorations are fabulous, so clever
Weren't they clever? I am in awe of their creative abilities.
The one thing i don't like about the pirite deck party is when they start playing good (rock) music mickey inturupets it and they play a rap song. I think it shoud be the other way around.
HA HA HA. I don't remember what music was playing. I will have to be sure and pay attention next time.
awwwww little prince's hat is sooooo cute
I loved his entire outfit. It made me smile every single time I glanced at him.
