DCL Day 4...PIRATE NIGHT!
Let me start off with sharing a few pictures of our pirate crew that were taken on our way down to the Pirates in the Caribbean Dinner.
After posing, it was time to get down to the very important task of enjoying this night's dinner. We were eating in Animator's Palette. The entire ship (no matter which main dining room you happened to be in that night) was sharing the same pirate menu.
The meal started off with my favorite bread of the week, Cuban rolls. They were served with a VERY tasty cumin and cilantro dip. I think our table ate about five baskets of bread this evening! Some of that bread did (yet again) end up under the table courtesy of our youngest buccaneer, however, it was less than usually did, even he was more into eating the bread than pitching it this evening. It was THAT good!
I picked Black Beard's Jumbo Crab Cakes with fruit salsa and honey lime tropical cole slaw. OH YUM YUM! I chose to have seconds of my appetizer instead of choosing a soup or salad.

I am a HUGE crab cake fan and these were outstanding.
My main course was outstanding as well. I had The Black Pearl's Oven Roasted Beef Tenderloin with sour cream chive smashed potatoes, sugared baked carrots with a deep red wine glaze. Another meal featured grilled shrimp and Sameer, being the amazing server he is, made sure that a sampling showed up on my plate (along with the tenderloin) when he heard me debating ordering it!
Here are some table side pirate pictures that were taken during our meal.
And our crazy shot (every pirate crew needs to let loose).
Proof positive that our
Little Prince loved the bread (the crumbs are all over him).
The cute detail on our printed photo boarder.
Some shots of the happy diners.
I love the lace edge of his sleeves.
Snow White and
Cinderella.
And them once again, this time, trying to see who could make our
LP smile more widely.
The result? One very happy
Little Pirate Prince.
The red bandannas you see were left for each person at their place setting.
Lucky for our already busting stomachs, there was a bit of a break for a festive bit of pirate entertainment before the dessert course came out (or was even ordered in the case of our table...we talk a lot). The music started pumping and the server's started dancing and parading through the dining room in their pirate finery. Most of the dining room came to our feet as well. Dh and Mr. Friend took it to heart and hopped right up.
Mr. Friend being himself. haha
The boys ate it up!
There was a lot of waving of bandannas and napkins.
And dh being himself. haha
Then it was time for dessert...OH THE DESSERTS!
I chose to have the Lost Banana Treasure. Flame kissed bananas with caramel rum sauce and vanilla ice cream. THIS WAS HEAVEN ON EARTH!
Everyone loved their desserts tonight.
Snow White couldn't stop raving about her white chocolate cheesecake on a bed of crushed macadamia crust. It was garnished with a white chocolate shaving and strawberry, vanilla and caramel sauces.
Dh loved the triple layered chocolate cake that was nestled in a very rich dark chocolate sauce and topped with 'planks' of chocolate.
Our servers brought out a special dessert plate for all of us to share. It was a meringue container filled with tropical fruit and berries and surrounded by vanilla sauce.
We sat long after we had finished our last bites of dessert and enjoyed some coffee and tea. It was a great meal. (Notice
Stitch pretending he was a ninja pirate...HA HA HA).
