I'm really torn... DH and I are going to get new phones tonight and I can't decide what I need as far as the storage. I currently have an 8gb iPhone 4g. I've been maxed out on space since July. I had to delete some apps I didn't use and some pictures. I do back pictures up to my computer and external hard drive monthly. I have not had enough room to download iOS6 so a lot of my apps I had to delete because they would no longer work and some I couldn't download at all (and had to get the kindle version on put them on DH's) I have about 1000 pictures on there now (almost entirely of my baby boy!) but I obviously don't need to store that many as I could just delete them after I copy them to the computer. I don't keep music on there, I only have 1 song. So basically for apps and pictures, will 16gb be enough? I would like to be able to take short videos of my son to send to DH and family easily which is something I haven't been able to do because I have no room. I am also going to be getting an iPad soon so I guess some things I could put on there.

I'm about to upgrade in a couple weeks from an 8GB iPhone 4,as well, and I'm going to a 32GB. While I didn't hit the full capacity onthis one overnight, I have had it for a little over 2 years and it's treated me well. I plan on getting the same length of use out of my new iPhone 5S and would much rather have the extra space in the long run. :-)

I'm in exactly the same boat! I have had this for just over 2 years and plan on having the new one as well. Thanks!

I bought a 64GB last year and I'm already running out of space. When we bought my daughter's phone, I went with the 32GB even though she shouldn't need much space for a good long time.

At the beginning of the month I upgraded 2 iPhones to the iphone 5 32g from 16 g. Got a fantastic deal at best buy. $99 each and each cane with a $50 giftcard that they let me use toward the phone. Each phone was $50 plus tax out the door. I think the $50 GC offer is over but $99 for a 32g was a great price. They were brand new not refurbished.
I just checked and now they are $50 the 64g is only $149. Hope this helps someone.

I'd get a 32GB because I got a 16GB about 2 months ago and it's already full and I have no music at all on mine. Since you're already running into issues with space, I'd get the most GB that you could afford.

I have 32 and DH has 16 since I have all the pictures and stuff.
There is no way I could've done less than 32 without going bonkers trying to upload everything regularly.
The only reason I can survive a 32g is because I have dropbox and everything is uploaded automatically daily when I'm at home... :)
And I don't even load all my music or have any movies/tv shows on it.
Everything is purely apps and pictures/home videos.

So if you have kids, I would strongly suggest 32g.

Good luck!

I only have 16g on my iPad and I am hurting... :rotfl:
Oh how I wish idevices have SD card slot.
