Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I have been on disboards.

My daughter (16) will be headed to WDW with her band in two weeks. Her father and I will not be travelling with her.

The band director just sent out their ticket numbers and told them to all get mydisneyexperience downloaded and the tickets added.

My question is, should I have her log in to my account where she is a listed child and add her ticket there, or does she create her own account? Has anyone had a minor child travel without them with the current app?

You can do it either way. Since she is over 13, she can create her own account, or you can use the profile under your account for her, and just give her your login so she can use it during her stay.

It would be easier if she had her own account. Then for your next family trip you can link the two and still plan everything from your account.

From the account you manage click the share plans under her name to the email address she uses, this will prompt her to create an MDE account and then you can upload the ticket to her account.

I would have her create her own in case she needs to have a code emailed to her to login or is forced to reset her password while on the trip. I end up getting the secondary code verification more often when traveling at disney for some reason and it requires a code from your email to proceed with logging into your Disney account.
