15-minute grace period?

Haven't read anything about this recently, so just checking in preparation for our upcoming trip.

Is there still a 15-minute "grace period" for FP+ late arrival (e.g. if FP+ is for 10:00 -11:00, the Mickey head will still turn green if you scan your Magic Band at 11:14)?

Has anyone experienced this first-hand recently?

(Not that we are planning to be late for a FP+ but it's nice to know whether one should even try for it if one's FP+ time has just expired.)

From what I've heard, it's at the CM's discretion whether to honor the grace period, so it sounds like the Mickey head would not turn green if you were to come after the one hour window, but before the 15 minute grace period ended.

From my experience, the cm won't even notice. If you are five minutes early or up to 15 minutes late, the Mickey head will automatically turn green. My most recent experience with this was the end of Dec.

I don't recall ever getting a blue mickey head, and I think we were a little late at least once...

Whether or not they are honored with a grace period completely depends on the crowd levels and if they had other problems with the attraction. The CM's do not make that decision alone. I would have come from higher up. The best bet is to just not count on it. I have only once come close to needed the extra time through no fault of my own, but, more because of Disney Transportation. I didn't need it, so I'm not sure if they would have allowed it or not.

I found that there is plenty of time within that 1 hour time span to get in there. Just make the attempt to be there earlier and you will have no problems at all. Testing it out, just might not be worth it.

We've been 10 minutes late and got the green light. CM doesn't make the call at all anymore.

For us we were approx 13 minutes late for our Anna and Elsa fast pass after an extended wait for s boat to MK and parade crowds on main street. After a literal sprint to the finish, Good ole Mickey still turned green

From my DD who is a CM at one of the most popular attractions at WDW.
5 minutes early / 15 minutes late

We were given extra grace (I think 30 min late?) on Christmas Day at AK for the safari.
It took our bus at least an hour to drive from POR to AK because we got stuck in EPCOT gridlock.
I know it's not guaranteed, but I'm glad that ride CM was able to grant that pixy dust.
