Hi,

Just read about these new tickets. At the moment these tickets are only offered to UK residents. Maybe they will come also available for other European countries.
We had some discussion about this at our Dutch Orlando forum. Some people wrote that these new 14 and 21 day tickets will count each theme park visit as one day. For example, if you visit Animal Kingdom in the morning and Epcot in the same day in the evening you should have used two days of the ticket. So if you visit two parks every day with such a ticket a you can use the 14 day ticket only on seven days.
Is this the right story? Does anyone know? If so, please post the correct info.

Thanks,

Marcel.

Hi Marcel,

As far as I can see the 14 and 21 day tickets are full hopper tickets, but expire 14 or 21 days after the first use. So you can't carry left over days to your future trips.

Have you tried contacting some of the ticket sites in the UK to see if they will ship to the Nederlands?

No if you used them to visit 2 parks on one day that would use only 1 day. They are just like Hopper Tickets but for 14 or 21 days.

Are they put on the room cards if your staying at a Disney Resort like they used too or are they paper tickets now??

Spacemountain: As far as I know they are paper tickets like the 10 day world pass used to be. The room card type were the ultimate park hoppers that you could only purchase if you were staying on site at Disney property and included breakfast for the kids, these new 14 or 21 day tickets can be purchased in the UK no matter where you are staying in Orlando but do not include breakfast.

Hello again,

The comfusion about the fact that the tickets will count each park entrance as a day comes from the this website: http://www.orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk/walt-disney-resort/index.htm

Here a quote from the page about the 14 day ticket:
" Ticket expires 14 days after the date of first use. Parking is not included. Each day the Ultimate Ticket is used at any theme park constitutes one full day of use, more than 1 park can be visited in any one day."

What do you think of the quoted text? Of course, our English is not as good as yours, but we think that the text segment " Each day the Ultimate Ticket is used at any theme park constitutes one full day of use " isn't very clear. If the information is right that the ticket can be used on 14 consecutive days for unlimited admision starting the first day of use, this text segment adds not any usefull information. In other words if you don't visit a themepark on one or more days during the 14 day time frame starting the first day of use, there are also one or more days away from the ticket.

Gr. Marcel.

I agree the wording you quoted Marcel is very confusing. I assume what they are trying to say is that after using them in the first park you need to get your hand stamp to visit another park. If you actually use the pass again to get into another park it will count as another day. I think this how the park hoppers work too (I've always had length of stay or APs so never used a hopper pass).

From the Attractions Ticket Direct website the is a FAQ area with this question and answer:

Can I use my Ultimate Disney Ticket to visit more than one park in a day?

Yes, you could visit ALL the parks in any one day and that would only constitute one day of use.

That seems to be very clear :)

That's not the way hoppers work - they allow you to visit as many main parks in one day as you like and it will still take only one day from the ticket (but you DO need a hand stamp for entry to any park after your first park entry of the day). That's why they're called 'hoppers', because they allow you to hop from park to park ;).

With the new Magic Your Way tickets (just to confuse the issue even further  ) you only have the hopping facility if you pay extra to have it included.

I can't help with the 14 / 21 day tickets specifically as we've never used them.

But surely if you purchase it and stay at a Disney resort when you check-in and hand over all the accomodation/ticket vouchers they'll place your Ultimate Park Hopper on your room key like they always did.

Nope the Ultimate Park Hoppers are very different from all other ticket types.

You were only able to purchase them if you stayed in a disney property. They were not available as a paper ticket- only added to your door entry key card. They were the only type of entry which did this.

If you were going to WDW for 10 days and had the old 10 day park hopper pass, you could not add this pass to your room key card. And it is the same with a 14 or 21 day pass.

I asked my travel agent about the 14 day pass and they told me they are hopper tickets. I think the confusion over hopping has arisen because of the strange wording. They are probably trying to tell people who used to buy 5 day passes that if they just use the new 14 day pass for a water park or PI, this counts as a full day's use. Whereas with a 5 day hopper it was one of the extras and did not count against one of your 5 days.

Confused - I Am

If you have purchased a 14 or 21 Day Ultimate ticket, can you go to as many parks in one day as you like.

I hope this is a simple answer..........

Thanks Sue

I have been worried. I seem to read so many things about them and couldn't decide if I had been ripped off or not.......

So go on then talking of being ripped off, what would you call a good price for a 14 days ultimate ticket............

I was paying £159 from Travel City Direct, but I mentioned on the phone that I had seen them a little cheaper elsewhere and paid £154. A fiver does not sound much but there is 6 in out party. So saved 30 quid.
I don't about you,but we travel on the 9th April for 2 weeks and I can't wait.....

Good for you, a fiver here and there goes a long way. We fly out on August 18th for two weeks staying at the pop and it cant come around soon enough. Hope you have a great time.
