Hi folks any help would be much appreciated. I've been trying to book a dlp trip online for my family without much luck. the problem is i have 3 adults & 2 children (hubbie,me,child aged13 =adults, child aged11,child aged6= children).
It seems no hotel or lodge will except 3 adults in one room (can not afford 2 rooms) although 3rd adult is sill only a child.
Would like to travel around April time, will drive or eurostar, but would like to stay in Disney hotel if possible. On a fairly tight budget so nothing to extravagant please.
thank you:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Have you looked at the Davy Crockatt Ranch?
They have one and 2-bedroomed cabins there.

I'm also pretty sure 3 adults can be in one room at the Disney hotels, I think your problem is that you're trying to get 5 people in a room that only holds 4 (ie most of the Disney hotel rooms).

You could also have a look on the Expedia.co.uk website, they have the My Travel Explorers hotel, which can take 5 in a room.

I think the only solution would be to book the Davy Crockett Ranch, as their cabins can easily accomodate 6 persons. It maybe that you have to book the 2-bed cabin.

We have a problem as my eldest is 16, so we have to book 3 adults and 1 child.

The DCR is still "part of the Disney Magic", but it is 15 minute drive from the park.

The problem is not 3 adults in the room but 5 people. Most rooms only accomodate 4 people. there are some family rooms at some hotels but these are often more expensive. If you are driving you could try Davy Crockets- this is a Disney hotel - log cabins- but about 10 minutes drive away.
We stayed there at Christmas and they are very nice.
Your other option is somewhere like the Explorers which isnt a Disney Hotel but is very close by- closer than Davy Crockets. We stayed last Easter and it was very nice

Just reiterating that it is not the 3 adults in the room that is stopping you booking on 1 room, you can 4 adults if you want, it is the fact there are 5 people in your booking.

The hotels mentioned above accomodate 5 people, the Newport Bay hotel also has a family room but yoy have to phone Disney as this can't be booked online.

Explorers have crew rooms which take up to 7 people (might even be 8). As the others say - you can have 4 adults in one room but its the total of 5 that is the issue.

Hi screech and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

As a family of 5 too, we can happily recommend Davy Crockett Ranch :)

Hi screech, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

There are family rooms at the Disneyland Hotel and the Newport Bay which sleep 6 but they are very expensive. We're a family of 5 and found it much cheaper to stay at the Explorers which is nicely themed and has a free shuttle bus to the parks.

Have a look at all the hotels in our Hotel FAQ sticky. :goodvibes

Davy Crockets :thumbsup2 Sleeps up to six. We have bean there before and going in June.

We have just booked the davy crockett ranch for 5 adults, 1 child and a baby... think its going to be a squeeze and a push for the bathroom... but all in the name of Disney
