13 million dollars worth of rumoured improvements

An updated pool might get me to come back soon! Can't afford the theme parks any more so I have to look for other reasons to come back! :rotfl2:

After all the expansion rumors floating around I have been snooping on every trip and I cant find any evidence that show the start of anything. Time will tell.

Yes, it looks like something is happening. In follow up to me starting this thread I found this in the Orlando Sentinel online...from Jan 4.

Miller Legg, a multi-disciplinary consultant with six offices in Florida, including Winter Park, was recently awarded a contract to provide a site analysis of Walt Disney World's Fort Wilderness campground. Miller Legg provided a traffic study, including analysis of the existing roadway network, intersections, golf cart rental location, future campground facilities and traffic data collection. The first phase, including traffic site analysis, is complete; the second phase includes master planning and drainage analysis. Miller Legg is a 42-year-old, multi-disciplinary consultant with a staff of 190.

-------------a member of the staff said they were planning on moving the Golf Cart rental to the front of FW. That'd not be too convenient to walk to if true.

I heard the same thing about the carts, pickup and drop off at the outpost.

you can take the bus to pay your $50 to rent a cart.

I think thats their version of putting gum at the check-out counter. I would imagine that lots of FW folks dont realize that they have golf carts till after they are there a day or two...plus the kids in the back seat will SEE them that way and pester moms & dads to death about getting one...apparently they dont like having carts available during the weekdays. If it werent for the DIS, I wouldnt have known about the carts until I got to the front bus stop and saw them all parked there.

thats great news....:goodvibes

the farther the getter the better........good exercise......

maybe we can safely cross the bridge at the Meadow without looking both ways for carts.....

The way I understand it is that you will pick your cart up during check in (assuming you have one reserved) so that everything will be handled at the front desk.

Ah, longer waits at check in at the Outpost - I'm lovin it.

We checked in at 10 p.m. on a monday it took over an hour. 1 person in front of us. The carts in the front seems like a good idea that way you dont have to go get it. Just pick it up when you check in.

I think there are a lot of people that only get a cart part of the time...so it is not as nice as it may at first seem. We used to get one every day but now we only get one a few days...it nearly pays for our gas home by not getting one the days we go to the parks.
