13.5 Hours Drive to Florida with DD, Ideas for Spicing up Trip?

DD is 14 and she doesn't know it but when I pick her up after work we are heading straight down to WDW! I booked a hotel midway for the night and then hopefully we get there by around 3 p.m.

Any ideas for the long trip? I was thinking of making a CD again starting with the announcement from the monorail just before the doors close. Love to hear some creative ideas that others have done.

I like your idea a lot, if you happen to have a portable dvd player, you could bring along disney planning videos and disney movies, that's what I plan to do. And of course you gotta load up on soundtracks, especially wishes!!!(that one always gets to me!). Have fun!

We have 4 kids (under the age of 9) and we are driving from close to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada...so its a LONG trip. We usually play games, a DVD for them when they are a little more fussier than usual. My older kids have MP3 players so that helps with some boredom as well as some comics (classics are always good ones).

I bought a couple of Disney CD's from Target last weekend, and my 6 year old loves to listen to them in the car and tell me what movie and what part of the movie the song is from. It keeps him entertained and my 17 month old likes to dance to them. Have a wonderful trip!

Well, I'm off to a good start. Have about 20 sound clips so far that will fill two cd's, songs, parade sounds, ride sounds, monorail voice, lobby music of our hotel, epcot background music (I'm listening to it every day now) and two histories of WDW. This is so much fun!
