I thought I would see how well I did with the donation part this year and then think about coordinating next year. . (I am juggling several things that would prevent me from checking this board on a regular basis for making updates-- and I don't want to be a coordinator who is always way behind. )

We have less than 4 months until Christmas and a little over 2 months until we start sharing trees. If BLT and VWL want to share in the fun, we need some coordinators and donors. It isn't hard, it's lots of fun, and the more sharing in the fun, the better!

That poor tree! It got lost all sorts of places last year. I don't know how long they store things. Does anyone want to look?

Do you just do one tree per resort or do you try to get more than one tree? For something like AKV, do you try to get two trees for sure because you have Kidani and Jambo?

Lots of resorts end up with more than 1 tree. We'd like at least 1 per resort, but more is fine. It does make it easier if more than 1 family wants those dates.

I don't actually know how AKV has been split in the past, but I would guess there have been Jambo/Kidani designations.

If you can share a tree, and the resort thread has already been started, just ask the coordinator. For me, at least, the more the merrier!

When do the trees get sent back? We arrive jan 2(hoping for WL for jan 1 to come through! ) is that too late?

Kind of depends on the coordinator, but sometime the first week of January usually. So, 1/1 or 1/2 wouldn't be too late. You would probably be the last family to have that tree.

We are staying at VWL 12/18-26 & were planning on bringing a tree with us, would be fun to leave it with another family

Right now we have one tree. Last year we had 3 so one stayed at Jambo and the others were at Kidani. With one tree, right now families may only get the tree for part of their stay as I'd rather more share in the fun.

Ok, just VWL needs a coordinator, and we are still looking for more trees.

More trees=more days that trees can be shared=more families joining in on the fun!
