12 year old child paralyzed after riding Disney Paris TOT

That is sad, and it probably definitely is an underlying condition. Its odd they mentioned a spinal condition, because for something like that to flare on TOT would require him to not have been seated properly or to be even flailing about during the drops. My first thought was brain condition, because those drops can really take a toll on those with Vertigo, and other similar conditions, i.e. those with these such consequences. I hope he recovers, good luck to him.

There are warnings and descriptions all over the place about this attraction, and unless the ride somehow malfunctioned--it's a sad accident.

X-rays clearly showed he had suffered a "spine and bone contusion". Doctors at Necker declined to link the injuries to the ride but one told Libération newspaper: "Amusement parks can be not anodyne". More here.
