Hello,

Wow, hard to believe that it's been almost two month since we left for WDW...kinda depressing. I have been saying that I was going to do this report for a while, and now I really need to do it.

Let's see where to start. First off, the cast of our trip. There was me, (Jamie), DH (K), DMIL (J) and DFIL (R). Yes, I know I am a tad crazy to travel with my in-laws!!!

Okay here we go.

Sunday August 27, 2006

I have waited for this day for almost a year and it's finally here. We are packed and ready to go. I can't sleep, literally, I am too excited to sleep. Finally I get to sleep Saturday night, okay Sunday morning about 2am. and the alarm goes off at 3:45am. Okay, we have to get up...finally. I must say after getting ready and heading downstairs I was really beginning to not want to go. See we have two dogs that are my life and it breaks my heart to leave them alone. I worry! I get like this right before we leave every time! The inlaws are driving to the airport this time so we are waiting for them to show up. They get to the house around 4:30am and we are ready to go. Say goodbye to the furbabies, don't cry, ohhh too late, then out the door we go. I am the lucky one that gets to drive the van to the airport.

Our flight is at 8:30am, and we arrived at the airport about 5:15am and security was not all that bad. People were not listening and still trying to bring on liquids and stuff, but that didn't really slow down the line. We arrived in plenty of time so we didn't have to worry this very issue. After making it through security, we have to wait for DMIL, J, as they have to search her carry on baggage. They saw something that didn't look right. After a very extensive search they let her go with her bag. Not sure what they were looking for, they didn't find anything.

Finally we start to board the airplane at 8:07am, I have a window seat and DH, K, is right next to me, and DFIL, R, is next to him, J is across the isle. After everyone boarded, it seemed that we taxied forever and then we took off. Not a very exciting flight, they played the movie Over the Hedge, I didn't really watch it though.I was looking out the window thinking about the furbabies!

We arrive in Orlando at 2:00pm and we get checked in with ME, Just made the bus to the resort, Port Orleans Riverside. It was a nice relaxing ride to the hotel. We arrive at the hotel and we get checked in. I had called a few days in advance and requested the Mansions. We have stayed in the Mansions each year we have gone and we just love it. They put us in building 95, room 9505. Not a bad room. We get settled and head straight to Downtown Disney. We jumped on a boat and off we went.

Once in DTD we decided to go over to McDonalds and get lunch/dinner and then we walked around and shopped. We didn't buy anything, we just looked. We had a full 11 days to shop...didn't want to start now. And besides I hate shopping. Crazy I know!

After DTD we left and headed back to the hotel. Had to shower and get ready for our big day tomorrow!

Looking forward to the rest of your trip! Reading these helps pass the time till our trip! :rolleyes1

Nice Start! Where were the in-laws room in relation to yours? Did they do anything to annoy you? You only ate at McD's?? Man, when we go down, we eat like 15 times / day :sad2:

So far so good. I look forward to more.

After a good night's rest, we are up and ready to go. We decided to go to Animal Kingdom as we K and I, really wanted to go on Expedition Everst. So we head to the food court for breakfast and we both get scrambled eggs. YUCK! We had to send them back because they were not done. Put the fork in and it was liquid! The manager was great, he took them and had them cooked a little more and then they were fine.

Today was early magic hour for Animal Kingdom and we forgot, but we arrived a little before 9am. Got right in and headed straight for Everest. J & R were with us too. They wanted to go on the ride as well. We had to stand in line for about 5 minutes then we got on the ride. OMG...that ride was great. Didn't really know what to expect, but it turned out that I loved it. K liked it as well. R & J on the other hand, well not so much. J said that it scared the crap out of her! So they didn't go on it again. After Everest we headed to Rafaki's island, then on to the Festival of the Lion King. We have seen this show every year (3 years) and we still love it. We got out of the Lion King and it was time for lunch. So we headed to Pizzafari and had a nice lunch.

After lunch we headed to do the Safari, we usually do this in the morning, but decided to try it in the afternoon. Outside of it being hot, there was not much of a difference. We didn't get many pictures of anything, but the elephants. Elephants are my favorite and I swear I drive K crazy. Every time I see one, I have to get pictures. Getting off the safari we headed to do Dinasour. I like this ride, but to me it's a little too loud. But we went on it anyway. Then we took J on the ride that spins, I can't remember the name. Maybe the Triceritop spin....not sure. But it was fun. R didn't go with us...not sure why!

We had a 5:45pm ADR at the Plaza Restaurant in MK so we decided to leave Animal Kingdom and head over to MK. That was find by me, I am not a big fan on Animal Kingdom, it reminds me of a zoo.

Made our ADR, and we were early, but seated us anyway. I really like this place as does J & R, but K does not really like it. I had a chicken sandwich with fries and K had a grilled cheese with fries. I guess I should mention that we are on the dining plan. So for dessert I got apple pie - YUM and everyone else got icecream! After a very good dinner we headed out to the park. I know we did rides and such, I just don't know what we did.

Up next Epcot!

Thanks!

My DMIL drives us , DH and I, nuts! She is the sweetest person, but she jus does not know when to be quite. She is always talking. Finally my DH had a magical meltdown, you'll see as I get farther along!!!

Yeah, we only at McD's the first night, we were waiting to start the food fest for the parks!!!!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Today we decided to go to Epcot. We got up and headed with R & J to Boatright's to have breakfast. We ate here last year and we all enjoyed it so I thought we could try it again. Well we ordered our breakfast and K's eggs came out runny again. So I had to send them back, but they didn't come back any better. So he didn't eat breakfast at all. I kinda felt bad, but what could I do ya know. So from that point on we decided no more eggs since they were not being cooked right.

Arrived in Epcot shortly after 9am and headed directly to Test track and then over to Mission Space. We all love this ride so it was nice to get to it first thing. There was no line at all, which was good. After finishing with Test Track we headed, just K and I to Mission Space. This is where we lost the in laws. They went to do their own thing! Thank you!!!! We have been on Mission Space before, but this was the first time since they re-did the ride. So we opted to try and less intense ride. Green I believe was our color. Maybe it's because we are wimps or something but we both enjoyed the Green ride so much more than the orange ride.

We then decided to head over to The Living Seas and stood in line to see Turtle Talk with Crush. We don't have kids, but thought that this would be cute to see. Was it ever! I really enjoyed this. The line was long, but moved pretty quickly. Seeing all the little ones in the front was pretty cute...they sure had a good time. Once finished with Turtle Talk we exited and walked around The Living Seas. We walked into an area with the Dolphins and at that time they were doing a presentation on the Dolphins. The trainer would hold up a symbol and the dolphin would look at it and then chose that symbol on the other window. It was actually quite interesting. I stood there for a while, while K walked around and took pictures of things. I finally decided that I should leave and find K so we walked around some more. Saw the Manatee's and watched them eat. Cool! Took more pictures of Nemo and Friends. We spent a good hour or so here.

We called the inlaws to find out what their lunch plans were. We all decided to meet in the American Adventure for lunch. We took our time getting over there. Not really sure where R & J were, but they walk slow so we knew we would either beat them or meet them! Anywho, we meet them there and sat down for lunch. K and I had hotdogs and french fries with ice cream for dessert. R &J had burgers and fries with ice cream as well. I must say, I didn't care for the ice cream here. And believe me, I love ice cream.

After lunch we headed back towards Soarin as we (all 4 of us) had the Behind the Seeds tour at 1:30. Had to be there by 1:15. We arrived and got checked in and waited. There was another family with two young childern taking the tour as well. Our guide showed up and we started the tour. It was suppose to last about an hour, but she really liked to talk so we went over by almost 30 minutes. It was well worth the money I think. We all had a good time. I was a little frustrated with the other family as the wife was more interested in her kids and taking cute pictures rather than the tour, but it was their money not mine! Finished up with the tour and since we were right there we decided to get on Soarin. We love this ride. We rode it when it first came out in DCA. So we had to!!!

After finishing up with Soarin we headed to MGM. By the time we got there it was time for dinner and it was starting to get cloudy and the rain was coming. We had dinner at the Backstage Cafe. After dinner we walked around a little, K and I rode TOT and RNR a few times. Man we love these rides. By now the rain is coming down and we were not sure if Fantasmic was going to go or not. But the rain let up and we were able to see it. This was the first time that R & J have seen it and they really liked it. I knew they would! We are waiting to TS Ernesto to hit us, so because of that a lot of people have left the area. So that made the parks and such very unbusy!

After Fantasmic we headed back to the hotel. We got back, showered and got ready for bed.

Up next...Magic Kingdom! YEAH!!!

Great trip report, i love the lion king show too, makes me cry every time :)

Hey Jamie, its weird to "see" you over here! Enjoying the report, you are a brave girl to go to WDW with your inlaws! Can't wait to read more...

So we get up and head to Magic Kingdom, but first we need breakfast. Not really sure what we are going to eat as we have not had much luck with the eggs. So we decided to get a cinnamon roll and split it. It was pretty good. The weather today is kinda of icky, cloudy and windy.

We got to MK and went to Pirates...I have to say I don't know if I like what they did to the ride, but the anamontric Johnny Depp is just a yummy as the real Johnny Depp!! Oh my they made him look real. DH hates what they did to this ride as he is a fan of the original POTC, but maybe it will grow on him. Who knows! Then we headed to Haunted Mansion and It's A Small World. The crowds are very light today and I believe that it has something to do with the weather. We didn't bring the camera for fear that we would damage it with the rain and all, but I so wished that we would have. We were walking to Buzz after finishing up with IASW and we looked down Main Street and there was no one. Literally.....it was the best picture moment. But since it was raining we didn't want to take the chance of it getting wet, so we left it in the hotel. After exiting Buzz it was time to head over to Wilderness Lodge for lunch We had ADR's for 12:00 but for some reason everyone in my party thought that we could leave the park at 11:50 and still make it to the hotel, by boat by 12:00. WRONG! Good thing they were not busy!

As I said we took the ferry/boat to the hotel, that was pretty cool. It got a little windy and the rain started to come down a little but that was okay. At first I thought our driver/skipper whatever you call them, was going to go right on past the hotel but he didn't. Got off the boat and I was in awe! What a beautiful hotel!

Arrived late for our ADR's at Whispering Canyon, but that was okay. I was not paying attention when they called our name and so I just stood there, dazing. The guy that was going to seat us called my name several times and then asked if we were going to eat or not. It was all in good fun. I ordered a chicken dish of some sort, K ordered a grilled cheese and the in-laws ordered something with meat in it. I don't really remember it. K was giving the waitress and the gentleman that sat us a hard time, so when it came time to have a little fun, they did...with him. A guy came out and was doing jokes and such and then wanted the guests to make animal noises, well they came straight over to K and he about wet himself. He hates attention! So after a little more teasing they did finally left him alone and went on to his mom!!! SHe made a sound of a frog! Crazy lady!!! It was pretty funny. I would love to go there during dinner, but there is nothing for K or I to eat if we did that. We are very picky people.

After lunch we walked around the hotel a bit and then headed back to MK. On the way back it was a steady drizzle and the wind was really picking up by now. We are still waiting for Ernesto.

We arrived back in MK and went to Buzz, then to Space Mountain, then the TTA. We then headed to Toon Town. We walked around Toon Town and then went into Mickey's house and then Minnie's. We then walked over to do Pooh. I can't believe the lines, normally we would have had to wait 20 minutes for this ride and we walked right on. We finished here and then went to Snow White and Peter Pan. Again we just walked right on these rides. Walked over to the Haunted Mansion, then to BTMR. We were going to do Spash Moutain, but decided not to. Head to POTC again, man I could go on this ride just for Johnny Depp :cloud9: We then decided to head over to Fanstyland for dinner. We both had pizza and rice crispie treats.

The rain was starting to come down now a little more than a steady drizzle so after dinner we decided to head back to the hotel. We have never been through a hurricane/tropical depression, whatever, and didn't really know what to expect. As we were leaving we noticed that sometime between us leaving POTC and eating dinner Disney started securing the signs for the wind. Have no idea when they did this, but they did.

Once back at the hotel we decided to go to the lounge and we really wanted an adult beverage. However they were 9.50 so we passed. No way in this world am I paying 9.50 for an adult beverage! We messed around on the computer for a short time and then headed back to the room.

Up Next - MGM

Wow, hard to believe that we are already been here for 4 days...I want it to slow down! First thing first, my furbabies are doing okay! I talked to the lady that is taking care of them and she said that outside of missing us they are doing great. She is staying with them for 30-45 minutes each time she visits so they are not left by themselves while eating. She is well worth the money...gonna use her in the future.

Okay enough of that! We got up late, not sure why, but I could not get out of bed. So we headed to the food court to get breakfast, again just got a cinnamon roll and chocolate milk. We split the roll. It was good again. After breakfast we head to MGM.

Side note : I can't believe how beautiful it is today. You would never have guessed that a TD went through the night before. With the exceptions of the wet cememt and the puddles, it was beautiful! Humid but beautiful!

Anyways, we get to MGM and headed straight for TOT and RNR. I love these two rides. We went on RNR twice in a row. The crowds are still low so we didn't have to wait at all for this one. Then we headed to TOT and again no wait. K can only do this ride once so we left and headed to the Narnia show.We had not seen the movie so we had no idea what this was. As we walked out at the end it seemed that it was just an advertisment for the movie. I will say it made me want to see the movie though! We walked around a little and then it was time for lunch. It seems like time goes by very fast here! Of course we did get up later than normal today too!

We were meeting the inlaws for lunch and I believe that they were in Epcot. We had decided to go to Beachs n Cream, so we jumped on a boat and met them there. I love the hotels in this area, the Beach Club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin. I would love to stay at one of them. Maybe next year!

We walk in and found the restaruant and got a seat. I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries, K had a hot dog with fries, J had a roast beef sandwich I believe and I can't remember what R got. I can say that my lunch was so good. Then it came time for dessert. OMG!!! K and I spit this yummy googy chocolate with vanilla ice cream thing! It was huge. It had a brownie on the bottom with fudge syrup on it, several scoops of vanilla ice cream, more fudge sauce on top, two oero cookies, a cherry and whip cream! This thing was so good, and I don't like chocolate. We could not eat the whole thing, as it was that big!!!! After eating this very yummy lunch we headed over to Epcot.

Once in Epcot, I bought one of those Passport deals. We walked from country to country getting it stamped and signed. I had so much fun with this. We knew about it last year, but we just didn't do it. After having all the spaces signed and stamped we headed over to MK. We took the Monorail from Epcot to the TTC and then jumped on the ferry. As I was sitting attaching my stickers to the passport K was taking pictures. My inlaws were just sitting down relaxing.

Once in MK we headed straight for Buzz. I love this ride. It does not matter that I am no good at it, I still like. K kicks my butt every time! That is okay though. This time we made a bet that the loser buys everyone ice cream. Guess who lost.....you got it - ME! So I bought everyone ice cream! It was good though....how could not have been, it was ice cream! After finishing the ice cream we headed to Space Mountian. After this we were hungry for dinner so we headed over to Casey's and both got hotdogs and fries. I discovered that they had cheese on my last day last year so I of course got cheese to dip my fries in. It was good.

After dinner we headed to POTC and Splash Mountain. The inlaws went and did their own thing. On Splash Mountain, that was the longest ride I have ever been on. They kept having problems. It ended up being almost 30 minutes before we got off the ride. We would go a little bit and then we would stop, go a little and then we would stop. They would have to turn the lights on and everything. Not really sure what the issue was, but it was irrating.

We met up with the inlaws and walked over and had a citruis swirl. We discovered these on our last night last year too and K was craving one so bad. So we walked over and we all got one. They are pretty good, I will admit that!

The inlaws decided to head back to the hotel and we were going to wait for the parade on Main Street. So we waited, and waited. We were in the second row and I had to keep telling the adults and kids in front to sit down. We then let four little kids sit in front of us, they were having a hard time seeing, so then that made the other kids stay seated. That is the one thing that I like about Disneyland over WDW, is the cast members are very good at making the front row stay seated. Oh well though. After the parade we decided to stick around for the fireworks. We didn't do any rides or anything, just waited. After the fireworks we headed back to the hotel.

Next up - Magic Kingdom again!

Friday already......I tell you this vacation is going by way to fast!

We get up and headed straight for MK again. I would say this is my favorite park out of all three of them. Epcot comes in very close too!!!

Once we arrive in MK we headed to Buzz, can you tell I LOVE this ride :cloud9: HA! Then we went and did Space Mountain and TTA again. Once exiting TTA we headed over to get our picture taken with the characters. We got Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy, Chip and Dale. Saw the line for Pooh, but it was too long. We will be coming back, I have to get a picture with Eeyore! Then we headed to lunch at Casey's. We had just finished eating and started walking when the heavens opened up and it started to pour. We sat down at the Noodle place and called the inlaws. We are trying to figure out what to do for dinner. This is the one night I didn't make any ADR's so we have no idea what we are doing. The inlaws had planned to eat somewhere else and we didn't want to eat there. I just don't remember where they said they were going to eat. Oh well, does not matter. We finally decided that we would go back to Beachs N Cream! YEAH!!!! So we headed to Epcot.

Once we arrived in Epcot we decided to go on Test Track. The thing said that the wait time was 20 minutes and we decided to do it. Only problem was we waited for like 45 minutes! Still love this ride though.

We started our walk to the Beach Club. We just took our time. We arrived for dinner and got a seat right away. I ordered a turkey sandwich and K had a hot dog again. We ordered the same thing for dessert as we did the day before. That thing is so good!!!! After dinner we headed back to Epcot. Again we walked and took our time. Once in Epcot we went over and did Universe of Energy and then when we got out of there, we headed over to get our braclet for EMH. Then we walked over to Soarin and there was a 50 minute wait and we decided not to do that. We walked around a bit, saw the crowds and decided to leave. There was way too many people coming in. We noticed this last year too, that everyone goes to the park that is having the EMH.

We got back to the hotel and decided that we wanted to go to DTD and we were going to take a boat. But the boat line was way too long so we decided that we didn't really need to go anyway. We walked around the hotel and then headed back to our room for the night!

Up Next - A little of everything!

Hey Jamie! You are making wanting to try Beaches and Cream and excited to see Johhny's animatronic on POTC! That downpour on Friday was something, we were at the pool at CSR and all I can say is I am glad we were in our swimsuits. Can't wait to read more!

I'm in. subscribing.

It does go by so quickly...and you were lucky that you had 12 days!

I realized I never finished my trip report...what is wrong with me. I can say though that life has been crazy for me the last few months. Hopefully I can get this finished today!

Well today was a little crazy. We got up at 7:30am and headed to DTD for breakfast. We dind't want to eat in the food court so we headed to McDonalds. After eating breakfast we decided to head to Animal Kindgom Lodge. We had never been there and I really wanted to see the hotel. Maybe it's just me, but they make it look so different on the TV, I really was not all that impressed. It was a nice hotel, but I was expecting something different. Not really sure what though. We walked around the hotel a bit and then we talked about going to MK for a bit before heading to MGM for our ADR at 11:55As we headed to the main entrance of MK we realized that we didn't have time to go to MK so w got on the ferry boat over to the TTC and then took a bus to MGM.

Our ADR was for 50's PTC at 11:55. Found the inlaws and then we checked in. We ate here last year and it was pretty good, but not this year. We had a lot of fun last year, our waitress was a hoot. This year our waiter was not even interested in carrying on the little "mom"/ "dad" act. After lunch I wanted to stay at MGM to check our Lights Motor Action, but K didn't want to stay. So we headed to MK

Arrived in MK, there were a lot of people here today, but not bad Being a holiday weekend, I really expected more. We got on the train and took that to Mickey's Toon town. Got our picture taken with Mickey again aand then we headed to the tent to get the others. I love getting my picture taken with the charaters...not sure why as I hate ever other picture taking moment!

After we got our pictures taken we decided that we wanted to go have a citrus swirl..wow those are soo good. We discovered them last year on our last day. After eating our swirl, we went on POTC and then headed to ....can you guess....BUZZ!!! After finishing with Buzz we headed to COP and then on to TTA. We were able to get some really good, rare photos of Space Mountain while on TTA. The lights were on! That is great to me. That is one of K's favorite rides. He grew up in CA and went to Disneyland all the time and loved it there. We were actually able to ride the SM in DL with the lights on one year. That was cool. Anyway, sorry for the side track. After SM we headed to Fanstyland for dinner. We decided to leave MK after dinner and headed to DTD.

Once in DTD we did a little shopping, stopped at McD's for some ice cream....YUM! and then we headed back to the hotel to call it a night.

Up next : Animal Kingdom..again!

We got up at 7:30 again...seems to be a good time to get up...Headed to the food court and we shared a cinnamon roll. After eating we headed to Animal Kingdom again. First up....Everest!!! Love this ride. The line was long, but the park had just opened so I knew it would not be that long of a wait. We made it to the ride in about 10 minutes. Not bad! We exited and decided that we wanted to go again, so we actually got a fast pass to do it later and then got back in line. I know....a little crazy! This time we were in the second car and that is such a different experience. A good one, don't get me wrong, but WOW! K didn't think it was too much fun, but I sure did!!!

We head to Dinasour now. I like this ride, but feel that it is a tad too loud. That is just me though. I bought the Hidden Mickey book, so I am on a hunt for the hidden mickey's in AK. We rode this ride and then after we exited we went back and asked the CM if we could just look for the hidden mickey and then leave. He was very nice and let us. The one just inside the que of the ride was hard...the CM had to help us. He didn't show us where it was but gave us a good idea and then we found it. We then headed to the jungle trek and found the hidden mickey's here too. The cast memebers seemed to know what we were doing and they would chat with us and that made it even more fun. After the jungle trek we headed to Pizzafari for lunch. Found the hidden mickey's here too. Some were a little hard to find. After lunch we went to do It's tough to be a bug. Tried to find the hidden mickey's here but didn't have much luck. The CM was a little rude and made us get in to see the show even tho I told her I wanted to wait. Nope...not happening. After this we headed to MK to meet up with the inlaws

MK was much busier today than it was yesterday. We headed to POTC, then Jungle Cruise and then HM. Again I am on the hunt for the hidden mickeys. Each time we find them we are taking pictures, when we can of course, and we are going to put them in a scrapbook with some verbage next to them. Just a little project I wanted to start. The only place that we have not been able to take the pictures is in HM. They don't come out without a flash and they also say no flash photography. So we missed a few. We meet up with the inlaws at the Plaza Restaurant for dinner.

After dinner, we went to do BUZZ again!!! No matter how hard I try I can not beat K or the inlaws. I admit, I am not very good at this ride, but I love it. We made a bet this time, not really sure why, but the loser had to buy ice cream. I don't care...I love ice cream...even if I have to buy it!!! Well guess who lost....you got it, ME! I bought ice cream for the family! We went to Aunt Pollies and got ice cream there. I was going to use the snack points (cheating I know :) ) but I was told by the CM that I could not, even though the menu said I could. So I ended up using cash. That's okay though.

After finishing our ice cream we noticed that MK was starting to get really busy so we decided to call it a night. We headed back to the hotel. Inlaws went swiming and we rested.

Up next - Epcot

Wow Monday already...vacation is almost over. :sad1:

Today we got up normal time, we are creatures of habit, can you tell!!! Went to the food court for breakfast and then headed to Epcot.

In Epcot the first thing we did was Test Track. The line for this was pretty short, I was actually surprised. Still on the hidden mickey hunt and we found a few in this ride. With the line being so short, it was tough to stop and look without the people behind us getting angry. We then headed to Soarin and then on to Figment. I love that little guy :) After Figment we were going to do Honey I Shunk the audience, but the next show wasn't for another 30 minutes so we headed to World Showcase to have lunch. After lunch we walked to Canada and continued my search for hidden mickeys. We walked all the countries looking for them. Found a lot of them, not all though. Norways hidden mickey's were a lot of fun. The CM's were great here too! According to the CM's all the hidden mickey's are in the mural on the back all of the loading area for the ride. After doing all this, it was time for dinner...already?! It worked out well as we had an ADR in Mexico at San Angel Inn. Looking at menu, I was not sure. There was nothing that K would eat so he didn't. I finally found something and they were able to subsitute the beef with chicken. It turned out to be pretty good though. Most expensive mexican meal I have ever had! After dinner we headed to Soarin again, then Test Track and then walked WS again. I love WS....not sure why but I do.

We really wanted an adult beverage but we had a hard time justifing paying 8 - 9.50 per drink so we decided to skip the adult beverage. Until we walked past Morocco and found a place that only wanted 5.75 each. Right on! We both got a little drink and I was sure it was a virgin, but nope...there was alchol in it!!! We walked and drank at the same time back to Mexico. Found a spot in Mexico that we could sit and watch Illuminations. After that was over it was time to call it a night, so we headed back to the hote.

Up next - MGM finally!!!

Okay, so I may not finish today, hopefully tomorrow. Forgot just how time consuming this really is.

Thanks for coming back to finish! There is nothing sadder on the DISboards than a forgotton, unfinished trippie! So thank you for taking the time to come back! I can't wait to hear the rest! I think the Hidden Mickey searching sounds like fun! I might have to get that book for our next trip!

It's hard to believe that we are nearing the end of this vacation. It seemed like just yesterday I was telling K, oh we have 10 days, we can come back and do that.
We only have today and tomorrow left in the parks...

Okay, so we get up and have breakfast in the food court again. Then we head to MGM. Finally!!! There were a few things that I had to do so we started with this park first today. First we head to RnR twice and then to TOT. My DMIL had talked for weeks about getting on RnR but she always chickens out when we get there. We had not pushed it until today. We got off TOT and called them to see where they were. They just arrived in MGM....great, get over here now. K made it seem like the park was on fire!! They arrived by RnR and we talked her into going on it. We get on the ride and she does the whole. "Idon't know" She rode with K and I rode by myself and I do believe that she liked it. We had to get the picture of her that they take, it is very funny! She said that she liked it more the Everest and she didn't like Everest. So that is a good thing.

We wanted to see the Beauty and the Beast show so we walked over and waited for that to start. While we were waiting it started to get hot, hotter than it was already. So I walked over to the ice cream cart and got water, soda and ice cream for me and everyone else. We continued to wait for Beauty to start. The inlaws didn't see this show last year and loved it. We saw it once last year and that was it. I have always loved Beauty and the Beast, so I don't mind seeing that each time go. But I am sure that K would. After the show we headed for lunch at Toy Story pizza planet. Never eaten here but it was good. I am still on the hidden mickey hunt, so I was on the look out.

After lunch we headed over and did the Back Lot Tour, I don't think we did that last year, so the inlaws missed that too. We did it the first year we went but that was it. K didn't like it much....likes the one in CA better. We found the hidden mickey's on this ride, some of them were pretty darn hard. I know we found a lot of them, but I don't think we found them all. Oh well there is always next year :) After the tour I found Sulley and had my picture taken with him. Mike was not with him for some reason though.

Let's take a moment here, the next part needs a little explaining. It was hot and K was getting very frustrated with his mother as was I. She had been saying since day one that her and dad wanted to eat at Sci Fi. We told them to go ahead, there was nothing for me or K to eat there, so we would find something else. She got that...or so we though. Each day she would ask us if she made ADR's there would we eat there. Now both me and K were frustrated with her, she was not listening, so we have our first magical meltdown.....Ready???

I walk into Sci-Fi and I am looking for the hidden mickeys. DMIL walks in with me and she thinks this is the best thing since slice bread. She walks out while I am still in there and tries to grab K telling him "You have to come see this" just like a little kid. He tells her no. I walk out and she turns to dad and says something, then she asks us if we want to eat here and that is when it started. K is usually very quite when it comes to nasty language especially while in the world, but not today. He laid into her and was cursing....he had had enough. Let me just say that she has always let her kids say whatever they wanted, so it was not a shock to me or her or dad when the nasty words starting flying. After they (she said a few things too) had their meltdown, everything was fine. She was fine and so was he. She ended up making ADR's for her and dad at SciFi and then cancelled them. Not sure why. But we continued on with our day as if nothing had happened. So if you were in MGM on this day and you heard this, that was us. Sorry for that.

We headed over to Star Tours and then decided to head to MK as we had an ADR for Liberate your Appetite. When we arrived in MK we headed to POTC and then K and I did Splash Mountain. The inlaws didn't want to do this ride so they waited for us. Then on to BTRMM, HM and then over to Fantsyland. We were able to get on all the ride in FS and then headed to BUZZZ :) We made our way back to Libery Square to check in for dinner. Dinner this year was soo good. We ate here last year and K didn't really like it. But this year it was so much better. I was happy!

After dinner we tossed around the idea of leaving and going to DTD for a while, but then decided not to. The inlaws left the park but we stayed a little while longer. This time we searched for more hidden mickeys. We did ride a few more rides, SP, POTC. Then we headed to Main Street to look for picture frames. We could not find anything so we were going to go to DTD but didn't. We went back to the hotel for the night.

Up next - A Little of Everything----last day in the parks :(

Well this is it...the last day in the parks. Tomorrow is a do whatever we want day! So hard to believe that it is over already. I know I have said that a lot, but man 10 days just flew by.

We got up an the same time and headed to breakfast in the food court. Then we were off to MK. Today for us was a slow day, taking a lot of pictures and of course I was still on the hidden mickey hunt. Once we arrived in MK we headed straight to BUZZ and then over to Space Mountain. After finishing with Space Mountain, we headed to Toon Town.

In toon town we went in Minnies house and found more mickey's and took a ton of pictures. Then on to Mickey's house and did the same thing. I love have tons of pictures from our vacations....I don't like to be in any of them except with the characters but I love pictures. We did a little shopping in the Judge's tent and then headed out of Toon town towards Fantsyland.
In Fantsyland we got on Peter Pan, Pooh, and Snow White. We literally walked on all of these rides. I was surprised with Peter Pan. We have never been able to walk right on. That changed later in the afternoon, but even then there still was not a big wait. Then we headed over to HM and did that. Found more hidden mickeys, the ones that we missed before. We met up with the inlaws and had lunch at Casey's.
After lunch we headed to POTC again and then over to the Tiki Room. I don't think I like the new show..I am partial to the old show. But I know everything needs a change. I am hoping that it will grow on me...but even though I don't care for it I will still go in and see it. Then it was off to the Jungle Cruise. Found more mickey's but also missed a few. Save those for next year.
We didn't have any plans for dinner so we weren't sure what we were going to do. The inlaws made ADR's for the Plaza but I was not sure what I wanted to eat So K and I decided that we were just going to play it by ear and see what happened. We ended up going back to Fantsyland to Pinocco's and had pizza. I had fries too. I don't know what the issue was but i wanted fries so bad, it was sad. So I got some!
After dinner we headed to PhilharMagic for the last time this trip

We had plans to stay and watch the fireworks but it was starting to rain and we decided that we would call it a night from the parks. So we headed to Splash Mountain, POTC and then had ice cream. Found out that Aunt Pollies does take the dining plan, so that worked out great! After we finished our ice cream we rode the Indy Speedway, well I did, K just waited for me. I think he was tired. As much as he loves Disney, I think he was ready to head to the hotel. We had to do BUZZ one more time for me before we left. After BUZZ we headed to the hotel for the night. On our way back is started raining and lighting pretty bad.

Once back at the hotel, I had to start packing. We weren't leaving for another day, but I didn't want to have to wait until the very end to get everything ready to go.

Up next - Hotel hopping and mini golf

We didn't have a set time that we wanted to get up, we weren't going to the parks today :( but I was up about normal time. Waited for K to get up and then we headed to DTD for breakfast. After eating we did some shopping in the World of Disney. Love that store...I could spend all afternoon in here. I was able to find hidden mickeys in here too.

We decided to go hotel hopping We were going to do it last year but that didn't happen. So since we had already seen the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club and Swan and Dolphin we got on a bus to Carribbean Beach. We arrived and walked around. Still searching for hidden mickey's. We walked a good portion of the hotel. It was nice, seemed big. Then we headed to Epcot to catch another bus. This time we ended up at the All Star Resorts. Oh my gosh I had so much fun. We walked around all three resorts and mickey hunted. It seemed that it was hotter there than at the other resorts though. We took a ton of pictures of these resorts. K was really impressed with the stairway covers....how they were themed after whatever resort we were at. We started at the Movies, then did the Music and then Sports. By the time we were done we were starving. We called the inlaws and asked them were they were at and if they wanted to meet in DTD for lunch and then go to some mini golf. Sure!!

We meet the inlaws in DTD for lunch and then we headed to Swan and Dolphin to do some mini golf. By the time we got to the hotel the heavens opened up again, so we waited and check out the hotel. Did a little window shopping. We were finally able to make it over to the golf course about 45 minutes later. We played 18 holes and it was so much fun. One hole K said, "watch out for the water" I replied "What water" and just at the moment the water spit at me right in the face. I laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants. It was so much fun. Even the inlaws had a good time. It was still raining on and off, but we didn't care and the course stayed open as long as there was no lightning. We were going to head over to the mini golf course by Blizzard Beach, but we would not make it in tim to catch a bus back the the hotel or DTD. Next year I guess. If anyone likes mini golf and you have not done it at WDW, I say go for it. It was tons of fun.

It was close to 6:00 and we decided to head to DTD to have dinner. So we stopped in at McD's and had dinner and ice cream. This is the only place that K can get a carmel sundae. They stopped selling them here at home, you can only get fudge. So he had to have his carmel sundae before we left.

We headed to the hotel after dinner the hotel so we could get ready to come home. Our flight leaves at 8:30 AM so we are being picked up at 5:30 I believe.
