Its been more than a month since Ive posted
.oops! The thing is, between school during the week, speech meets on Saturdays and church/homework on Sundays, I havent had much time! But this is my last week of speech and Im in easier classes now, so that will leave more time for DIS-ing! Once again, sorry for the delays.
When I last left off, Thing2 had just finished her Padawan Mind Challenge. Because there was only about half an hour before the Hyper Space Hoopla, we walked over in front of the American Idol Experience building and sat down the pavement. The best tip I can give when attending Star Wars Weekends is to watch the Hyper Space Hoopla on the big screen from the AI building. It was way less crowded and we were able to sit down and still see, as opposed to everyone at the main stage, who were standing. The Hyper Space Hoopla was one of the best parts of the day for us, especially the dance off. Right as the show was ending, we had to leave so we could make it to Fantasmic in time for the show. We got to go in the back entrance because we booked the package with our dinner and that is a very long walk! We were able to get a good spot where we could all see, but it was very hot and crowded in the stadium, though that is to be expected in Florida during June. The show was great, as it always is. Thing3 especially loved it because she didnt remember it prior to the trip. For the rest of the evening, we walked around humming the tunes to the songs in the show. As soon as the show ended, we hurried out to try and beat the crowds.
But we werent exiting just yet, we were headed for a last ride on Toy Story Mania with our last set of fastpasses.
Again, we had a great time on TSM. Thing2 and I really wanted to go to Magic Kingdom for EMH until 2 AM. However, Thing3 was exhausted from the heat and doing so much walking, so Dad volunteered to take her back to POR and let Mom go with us. We walked to the bus together, then went opposite directions.
As far as I know, Dad and Thing3 just went back to the room, took showers and went to bed. We arrived at MK right as the Electrical Parade was coming down Main Street. Surprisingly enough, there was room to watch, so we got to see the amazing parade once again! After the parade was over, we decided to make our way to Fantasyland. Our first ride of the night was the Winnie the Pooh ride. Thing2 and I loved the interactive line and we all loved the ride, as we always do. We wanted to ride Peter Pan; however the line was still really long, so we passed. Then, we went to Frontierland. Thing2 and I wanted to go on Splash Mountain, but Mom didnt want to get wet, so she waited on a bench. The line was non-existent and we had a great ride. Once we found Mom again, we decided to ride BTMRR together. If I remember correctly, we rode twice, because there was not much of a line. I guess we just decided to keep criss-crossing across the park, because our next stop was Tomorrowland. We rode Space Mountain once, which had about a 10 minute wait. Next, we got in line for Astro Orbiter, which we almost never ride. The line for this took forever it seemed! It was at least 40 minutes, and there was hardly anyone waiting. I actually found the ride kind of scary, because I was in a rocket by myself and it was fast and the rocket was at an angle. I loved getting to see the castle all lit up and the Contemporary from the top though! After Astro Orbiter, we were exhausted. We walked past Peter Pan again on our way out, but the line was still long (even though the rest of the park was empty), so we made our way to the exit. We all got a seat on the bus and almost fell asleep on the ride back to POR. We got back to the room around 2 AM and were in bed and sleep by 2:30, realizing we wouldnt get to EPCOT until mid-morning because of our late night. Thanks for reading (and hopefully sticking with me!)!
