I am going to try something new this year. I need help in 2 areas. One is for my fellow friends at work--I do not want them to know I am doing this. I have about 10 people I would like to do this for.
Then I have my DH. We are not giving each other girfts this year because we are taking kids to Disney for TG and then again in June (already have AP's and DVC)--we are also doing a small cruise for our 15th anniversary.

I do not have a lot of money to spend on these things so lets be creative. Thanks for you help.

For a co-worker I did secrect santa one year that lasted for a week or so. I decided to give all my little gifts a theme and centered them around baking Christmas Cookies.

I can't remember all my gifts (and there weren't 12) but I remember a Christmas oven mitt, Christmas cookie sprinkles, Christmas cookie cutter, a favorite cut-out cookie recipe (printed on nice cardstock), etc...you get the idea.

My co-worker loved it because it wasn't a bunch of dollar store junk but things that were usefull and consumable (eventually get used up).

You do know that the 12 days of Christmas are the days after Christmas, yes? They are the days between Christmas and Epiphany...not the days leading up to Christmas.

Yes, I am aware of that. I still want to do something for some friends before since we are off from work during the original 12 days. As for my DH I just thought of doing something nice--that is all.

I don't know if your list includes any kids but this is what I did for my goddaughter and her younger sister one Christmas (when they were about 5 and 7) The item in parentheses is what I gave and the wording after it is what I wrote on the tag I attached to that gift.

12 Days of Christmas
A partridge in a pear tree... (ornaments) - I wasn't able to find a partridge in a pear tree but I did find some ornaments for your Christmas tree

Two turtle doves... (Franklin the Turtle books) - The doves flew away but left a turtle to take their place

Three French hens... (2 little chicken stuffed animals) - I couldn’t find 3 French hens but I hope you’ll settle for 2 chickens

Four calling birds... (walkie-talkies) - no calling birds but here’s something for the two of you to use to call each other

Five golden rings...(necklaces/bracelets) - No rings but something else you can wear

Six geese a-laying... (mini erasers, etc, in plastic eggs) - Look what these geese laid!

Seven swans a-swimming...(Barbie of Swan Lake book or something swimming-related) - The swans swam away but left this for you.

Eight maids a-milking... (2 cow stuffed animals) - Moo!

Nine ladies dancing... (Disney Princess markers) - Hope you like these ladies

Ten lords a-leaping...(jump rope) - Here’s something for you to do your own leaping with.

Eleven pipers piping... (mini slide whistles) - The pipers ran away with the pipes but hope you like these just as well

Twelve drummers drumming... (Little Drummer Boy book) - Here’s a story of a little drummer.

We did the 12 days (yes, after) with silly gifts for a neighbor family with several kids. I know we rewrote the song to a poem that kind of explained our gift ideas. We sent over things like Turtle and Dove chocolates (2), - some were a play on the words, others were an item associated with a word from that day's line in the song and over time they included all the family members but were usually only single items. They really enjoyed it. The last day's poem included a note to encourage them to do it the following year for someone else.
