12 Days in Florida -- Disney World and Marco Island

All the pictures are gorgeous but I think my favorite is the last one of you guys hugging each other..it is just so you!

And the one with you making mouse ears is hysterical!

THanks for posting more! I'll have to have the kids do the Stitch one. They will love it!

I don't know how I missed these last 3 but they too are great. I do like the Stitch pic. but I think I liked the first one best. You two just fit Disney.

Aw shucks...I'm blushing now.

Yes, for those who love Stitch, it is a great photo.

Not sure how you missed it? ;) Glad you liked them.

I love that's nice suggestion! John absolutely hates Stitch so if any Photopass photographer ever tries to get us to take that kind of pictures, I'll be sure to tell him to act like he's stomping on him.

Hi Kathy :goodvibes! It looks like you had a great trip - so happy for you! We just got back a few days ago and are in serious post trip depression. Cannot wait to go back...

I know what you mean. With all that is going on here, I wish I was in Florida!
Are you doing a trip report? How was your trip?

I knew I'd miss out on something when I unsubscribed from the CSR FAQ thread. So glad to have stumbled upon your TR! Have lots to catch up on. Look forward to reading along :goodvibes

See what happens when you do that!?!?!?! I hope you enjoy the report. :)

Okay finished! Wow, what a beautiful trip report. Marco Island looks amazing. I love all the wildlife photos you got. Amazing that you can still see manatees and dolphins out there. I'm like you, I cry every time I leave Disney - especially when I don't know when I'll be coming back again. Fortunately, after my November visit (which is in two weeks!!!!), I already have another trip planned for April. I'd love it if you followed along on my PTR. The links are in my signature. No pressure of course ;) After April, I'm not sure the next time I'll be going as I've got to start saving up to move out. It's not easy.... sigh.

I'm so glad that you were able to enjoy a fabulous Disney trip, even after you had cancel your original 10 night trip. It's devastating when you know you can't go to Disney.

I LOVE Cookie! What a cutie! It's a Bichon right? Did you mention him over on the CSR FAQ thread? Sorry my memory is terrible!

I'm off to start reading your dining report

OMG KatMark you got to go on a trip this year!!! yay!!! I'm so happy for you! You guys looked like you had a wonderful time!! Btw, you got some great pics!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Jen. Yes, we really did have a good time. I may go back and read the report again myself...as it looks as if next year's trip isn't going to happen (if you read this thread you'll see why: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2311326)

Yes, Cookie is a Bichon and the love our life. She is my baby and she still misses my dad...she continually sits in his spot and looks lost.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. So far, I've made it to page 6. Been away from the boards for a while. Finally catching up on all the one's I was sub'd to. I think CSR thread is beyond what I can do though. Haha it's a popular one.

We enjoyed our stay at CSR (09/27-10/04) Didn't get our room request but, oh well. Still enjoyed our location in Ranchos 6. Good bus service most of the time. Since we had dining plan, we managed to make the most of the Pepper Market and had no complaints about the food. Funny, during our stay, tons of people around but mostly walked onto the rides.:banana::banana: Really hope our Thanksgiving stay is similar but seriously doubt it.

Thanks, Kindra. It was a great trip--and more than we expected in many ways.

Thank you! We are going to request Ranchos next time just so we've stayed in each section. I'm gladyou enjoyed PM--a lot of people have been complaining about it lately--price and quality!

I hope you have short lines for Thanksgiving too. Maybe it will be like free dining...lots of people, but walking right onto an attraction. :)

My dad always bought the kids a balloon wherever we went--Disney, the zoo, Six Flags, etc. So last year, I bought a balloon and presented it to a young child. I tried explaining to the parents last year why I was doing it, but being that my dad had died only three weeks before that, I was having a hard time through the tears getting it out so my darling Mark had to explain. This year, I bought another balloon and as we were walking down Main Street and arrived right before you can turn left or right to exit, I found a little girl in a stroller; I stopped her parents and said, "Excuse me, but could you spare me a minute." I explained the story and they were very touched and asked me what my dad's name was and said they would say a prayer for him, etc.; they had their little girl get out of the stroller to give me a hug for the balloon. I'm sure that little girl had no idea what was going on, but I left with a good feeling and I blew a kiss up to heaven as we left the MK.

Ok, Im just reading your trip report, and this brought tears to my eyes! I just had to relpy. What a lovely way to honor your fathers memory! And what a wonderful, loving man he must have been. THAT is what Disney is all about.... bringing a little magic into peoples lives. That post sure warmed MY heart!

TigerLilly, thank you for your very sweet words. I truly appreciate them.

I can’t believe I didn’t find your TR sooner.

The first order of business, however, was going to our favorite ride -- the "bathroom" ride. The older we get and the more water we drink, the more we spend on the bathroom ride. :lmao::rotfl::lmao:

Don’t feel too bad about going on the bathroom ride a lot. I’m 23 and I’m constantly on that ride. I swear I have the bladder of a small child. :lmao:

From there, it was off to Frontierland to ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Of course, Mark started whining...I don't want to get wet. I said it is 95 degrees...you'll dry in no time. Well, of course, we got in our boat, went through the first part of the ride and were approaching going back inside when the boats come down the big hill. Yep, you got it, we were there just as it came down and we were both drenched! :rotfl:

This always happens to me. That’s why I always try to get into the log first so I’m farther away from the other log dropping.:rolleyes1

What a sweet tradition! I teared up when I read this. :sad1:

Marco Island looks so beautiful! :goodvibes

Hey Kathy
I’m a little late (born that way:)) so after my hiatus from the DIS (just dealing with too much stuff), I’m getting slowly back to DIS life and posting again on your TR. Thanks for your kind words; I too had a wonderful time meeting you and Mark. You both were exactly as I pictured, (of course I HAD seen a picture of you both:laughing:) – and that held true for the people underneath – you both are genuine, fun loving down to earth people, that people can instantly comfortable with. It’s no wonder you attract some many DIS friends.
I know you’ve had some rough going, so I hope life is getting better.
Think of you often ~ Janet

Better late than never! :rotfl: Serioiusly, I'm glad you found me and that you enjoyed the report. And you've been busy enough with your engagement and your own reports--which I am thoroughly enjoying.
