12 Day Dream Trip with Lot's of Pic's

Oh I forgot to mention when the girls and I were in Line for Jack my DM decided to pull her first dissapearing act of the trip. She's got Dementia pretty bad and is Diabetic but I had checked her prior to leaving our room and thought she would be ok.

This trip showed me just how bad she is getting though. When we were finally done with Jack we went to find DM where we had left her in a good spot with something to Drink and eat she wasn't there. We spent a hour looking all over for her. We split up with a meeting spot and finally found that she was in the Lost/Medical area. She had just started wandering around and got lost and didn't know where we were. Part of this is cause she had a ECV and made it easy for her to get around grrrrrrrrrr. Damned if I do and Damned if I don't LOL. That took over a hour of our play time finding her.

Thats too bad to hear about your DM that would be hard I guess she is staying you for now on!!

We "Never" made it to a rope drop the whole trip grrrr lol.

I am enjoying your report! We go in less than two weeks, and I am more than excited...I don't think is a word to describe how I feel!

Can you, or anyone else, tell me about 'rope drop'? Is it best to get to the park 30 minutes before opening to experience this?

Thanks!

Thanks Katie..... It's a very tough disease to deal with. You become the parent and they tend to fight you tooth and nail. I hate the temper tantrums, you'd think she was a little kid. It's all part of it though. Next trip I'm not taking her. I need to be able to relax and enjoy too. Not that I didn't this trip but it could have been more fun instead of work on my part.

Yes get there early if you can manage it..... Never happened with us but from what I've heard is there's a little ceremony opening the park that I've never seen. Also if your there first thing you can basically walk on the major rides that first hour and get alot done in a short time frame. Good Luck!
