YAHOO!!!!!

Thank Y'all!!!!
We are thrilled and now Greg has said that he doesn't care what the Dr says he is getting that port removed! LOL! He has one of those *under the skin* types.
When he asked when they were going to remove it one of his Dr's said *We're leaving it in. What if your Cancer comes back?*
Way to have a good bedside manner!!!

Richard never fully got comfortable with the port. He lost a spark when they put it in.:sad2: Glad to hear he is doing well.

My moms lifelong best friend passed away last week and she was with her when she passed at 93!!!!!!! I'm going over there this week to pick up a few things they wanted us to have. They told her last night she is in the will and the nephews agreed to increase what it was. She wants to take me on a cruise. Truthfully emotionally I am not ready for it but she is going on 92 and who knows how much longer she will be here and I would regret not doing it. Trouble is she wants to do it this summer and the only time off is the time for the reunion. My days off are written in stone!!!! Will have to play this one by ear for a while. I know she wanted to do the panama canal sometime and Alaska. Oy!!!!! Decisions at a time I don't have the heart for it.

Grandson is sick. Sounds like flu and this has me worried. Think she is taking him to the Dr as he was sick all day yesterday. This flu thing has everyone concerned. I am wiping everything at work and realized yesterday I left my headset out and didn't lock it up Wed. so I wiped it down with alcohol and sprayed the entire desk, keyboard etc as I always have done since Rich was diagnosed with cancer. You can't be too over cautious with so many people in the site.I laughed when Dr Oz said a sneeze can travel at 100 mph.we have some serious sneezers at work. Gotta go get ready for work:surfweb:

You can understand why Greg wants it removed ASAP!

I hope your grandson is doing better soon!!! When my mother started her chemo she kept a can of lysol on her desk....anyone that came near her desk got sprayed and told to stay away. :rotfl2:
I was shocked at the number of people that would come to work sick and then think it was ok to go near a person going through chemo!!! :sad2:

:grouphug::grouphug: Hi, Arlene

I know how tough it is to make decisions after losing someone close. Hang in there. Try and go and make some memories with your Mom - you'll be glad you did. Maybe go to Alaska. It's not Panama and it won't be on a Disney Ship. We're on the Royal Caribbean - Serenade of Seas leaving Vancouver on AUG8 - if you want some DIS company.

You'll make the right decision for you, I know you will. And we will understand if you miss the reunion. My parents are older too and I'm trying to make the most of our times together. While I'm sad my son missed out on the '07 transatlantic, I'm so glad I decided to take my mom. She and her friends still talk about her world travels.

Maybe a non-Disney cruise would make it easier for you to go? Especially since Disney doesn't go to Alaska. I've seen some great deals to Alaska this summer. Let me know if you'd like me to pass them along.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this summer. Have to remember to move my dummy ressie. No clue yet.

Steph glad Dad came thru the operation ok.And hope DB continues getting better.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and support over these months.

Stephanie,

I am so glad to hear that your brother is doing well. The uncertainty of cancer can be very stressful and my heart goes out to you and your family.

We’ve had our own recent bout with cancer. Not long after returning from the EBPC Repo we found out that my 1st daughter (stepdaughter) had a reoccurrence of melanoma. One of the local hospitals that her Grandfather had worked for arranged a trip to DL for her and her immediate family, including her two little girls.

On January 4, 2009, after a short battle with her reoccurrence of melanoma, we lost a lovely 31 year old young lady.

Kelly’s two young daughters, 4 and 7, are living with their grandfather and step grandmother who are doing a wonderful job raising them. Laura, Katie and I are having a great time inviting the girls over for baking and craft time.

On a more fun note, from June 13 - 21 Katie is going on a science trip to Ecuador / Galapagos. While Katie is gone Laura and I will be traveling to BWV arriving on June 14th transferring to VBR on the 17th and flying home on the 20th in time to pick up Katie at the airport on June 21st.

Laura, Katie and I are on Facebook so we will have to look for you.

Bill

I am so very very sorry for your loss!

I have not been on in a LONG TIME. How is everyone? Hope all are well. I didn't go back through pages and pages of posts, but is there a reunion this summer at DL? We'd love to come up and see everyone too.

TTFN.

Ah Jen, sorry we missed you. A bunch of us were there in March and will be back again next March 12-14. The only summer reunion is Aug 15-22 at WDW.

Bill, so sorry to hear of your loss. Your family, and especially Kelly's daughters, will be in our prayers. They are lucky to have their grandparents and your family to help them through this.

Katie must be excited about her trip. I'd love to take the family to the Galapagos islands someday.

Yes, I can hear Claire saying she is going to be the coolest Aunt ever and she will be.
What do the others think about being an Aunt and Uncle?
