Hilton Set For Tinkerbell Role?

(AP Photo/Chris Weeks)

Paris Hilton is reportedly lined up to appear in a live version of "Peter Pan."

Hilton has impressed bosses at Disney with her movie roles and her online comedy sketches, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

And now they are said to be keen for Hilton to bring the fairy Tinkerbell to life in a live-action version of the story.

A source tells the Web site, "Paris has worked on her acting chops lately and showed some comedy prowess in her YouTube spoof of running for president. Disney suits saw it and think she may be developing some comedic-actress potential."

Yeah....

This is just the sort of portrayal I want MY KIDS to see with someone my kids should indirectly look "UP" to....

OK.... I really gotta get going now...

Gotta get the kids up fer school - lunch made and so on...

My little one is going to have LUNCH with the principle today (the only one from her class) as she was the 1st place runner in a jog - a - thon to raise money for our PFA! She's quite pleased with having earned the "privilage" of a semi=private pizza with all the other class leaders / top runners and principle!

That's sooo cool about the plug outlets on the house for lights!!! I'm imagining them up under the roof overhang! If so... THEN that would be soooo nice.... not only does this help with Christmas lights but... I want to setup/run an outdoor security camera system with DVR recorder TOO. If we had power supply outlets uner the roof like I believe you have - that would help in installing a clean looking system of digital cameras outside of the house! Of course, it would be so simple for a thief to just bring a little step ladder and unplug my cameras tooo.... gee, I'd have to figure out a way to make the system tamper resistant. Sigh.... anyways I'm in the middle of putting up lights now - hope to finish this weekend!

Yes, the outlets run along the roof overhang. And you're right they would work perfect for you want to do... I have a 2 story house so, a thief would have to bring a long ladder. ;) [/COLOR]

Steph...

... I'm sorry I missed being here to offer supportive thoughts (and images... <wink>)... however, I'm glad your brother is gaining strength in his fight/recovery. As some may recall, we have friends and loved ones who are in battles for your lives as well. Some doing OK, others not faring nearly as well. Sigh... such is the nature of our fragile existances here, eh?

So, on another note, we just signed up our daughter for a winter soccer and gymnastics, and I vaguely recall posting (maybe?) that we hosted a nice birthday party for our youger one a few days ago.

Black friday was nice... Alicia did her to try and revive the flagging economy by power shopping with a couple girlfriends that morning from 4:30AM until 11:30AM... (whew.... good thing it wasn't 11:30PM!). All in all... I count myself lucky as I think I spent more then she did... I bought a Black Friday computer monitor deal from Newegg.... a Sceptre 24" that's only $199 after $40 rebate.... no tax and FREE shipping. Plus I picked up a new computer power supply and a couple computer games at "unbelievable bargin prices". These games demand so much computer power it's forcing me into a severe computer upgrade (of video card, memory and power supply) to properly RUN them! So all told.. I think some folks would consider my general expenditures to be modest - and in turn Alicias' to be modest.

At any rate.... wooo hoo.... my monitor and power supply came in yesterday... and this afternoon I'll be installing the PS while trasferring my exxternal hard drive into the desktop... one of my kids stepped on the external hard drive - using it as a ???? step or ???? and cracked/damaged it. Most likely the drive itself is OK.. but the enclosure and it's circuits are kaput. With any luck the decktop will be running with a new LED lit 600w power supply and new terabyte of HD capacity this afternoon... abd a new 24" monitor! Hopefully I'll have NO dead or stuck pixels (or other issues) with the thing!

Cheers forlks for a happy weekend!

Crash, I did remember that you have friends/family going through some of this same stuff... We are keeping all in our prayers.
I am so glad that now they do the port under the skin -- it is hidden quite well! Because of all of my brothers problems last time my mom refused a port when she was going through chemo. Instead she had a new IV put in everytime. :sad2:

re: computer stuff... You sound like dh!!!! He is always looking for a reason to *upgrade*! LOL!
I haven't brought up the fact that when he bought the Alienware computer he told me that he was finished....... HA! HA! HA! Since that is a few years old now (and already passed down to 10ds)......

Paris Hilton Gets Magical For Her Perfume Launch

Monday 01st Dec 2008

Paris Hilton launched her new perfume Fairy Dust at Macy’s in New Jersey yesterday.

And the heiress debuted a new hairstyle for the event - 80s-inspired BIG hair.

The reality T.V star wore a turquoise blue outfit by Yoana Baraschi and completed her outfit with her own designer-label shoes.

Paris boasted to fans that the fairy concept was her own idea.

“I’ve always loved Tinker Bell, the fairy, because I love fairy tales, and I just thought it was really magical,” she told the press.

:scared1: I had to laugh at this quote --

First of all that was NOT 80's big hair! :lmao: And I'm pretty sure if she was in New Jersey she could have found someone that could have done it right! :lmao:

If I had a scanner hooked up I could show you BIG hair! Not only was it the 80's I live in TEXAS the home of big hair! :rotfl2:

ANd Tom...what are you doing reading gossip websites? :rolleyes1

As you all know, I'm currently on the "Injured" list and can't work. I just received a certified letter from OKC Schhols Dept. Of Human Resources.
It was telling me that I no longer have any sick leave left(which I knew) and that I needed to contact them regarding some kind of "Family Leave".
I went ahead and called H.R. and the lady proceeds to tell me that Idon't qualify for Family Leave and I have to contact fellow employees and see if they'll "donate" some of their sick time to me. If this is not possible, I must Resign my Position and then I can reapply for my job after I'm released from the doctor. No guarantee that my job will still be there or my same position!!
I have a call into my manager/friend right now and hopefully she can help me figure out what to do. I just can't picture me asking my friends to "donate" thier time to me,when they could easily end up in the same spot that I now find myself in.

that sucks Debi, doesn't a broken wrist count as a serious injury or illness? that's what i thought was required for FMLA (family medical leave)

We all love you!!! :grouphug: I just think that no one was around this afternoon. I know I wasn't.

Tell HR you need to apply for FMLA. You won't get any pay with it if it's all gone but it protects your job.

Wow, she really let herself go. Must be all those cheesebugers she eats half naked while lounging on a car, or whatever she was doing in that commercial.

I second (third) the FMLA thought.

How long have you worked there?? I would think that you would quailify for....my mind is drawing a blank. I gave my brother back those papers this afternoon (it is some type of disability that you can get through your insurance). He is (hopefully) going to be getting *short term* disability. He opted for it as soon as he qualified -- good thing to since just a few months later he discovered his cancer was back!
Where ever he has worked he has opted for that type of insurance as soon as he qualifies since he knows that he would never have enough money saved to get himself through any type of illness or injury (he has horrible money management skills!).

I know my mom used *unpaid family leave* for some of her time off when she was going through her cancer treatments & surgery. I know that HR didn't let her use *donated* vacation time because my dh, my brother & my son would have donated all of their time to her. :goodvibes

That just doesn't even sound legal! Like everyone else said, look into the FMLA. It should cover you.

Let us know how you make out!

PS, Nick & Hailey are here with me and they said to send you hugs!

I am so sorry to hear of what's going on! I hope that everything gets straightened out! you are in my thoughts and prayers

Thank you everybody for your reassurance. I've been with the school system since Oct. 2002. My manager/friend called me today and suggested that I "throw myself on the mercy of our Principal" meaning, see if she can put the word out to the staff about possibly donating some time to me. Like I said before, I wasn't expecting to get paid while I'm off but I didn't think in a million years that my job would be in jeopordy.
