My weekend wasn't nearly as exciting.....Saturady I took my brother (the one that just got out of the hospital and is going through chemo) to Costco. He wanted to pick up a few things and he can't go places on his own -- he can drive but, he needs someone to be with him while he holds onto the cart and walks. His S/O was working on Saturday.

Thanks he can use them! Somedays it seems it is a couple of steps forward and then we go backwards! UGH!!!
He had a Dr's appt this morning - his S/O went with him.

Hey Cheryl...I'm doing fine and dandy, thanks . Looking foward to seeing you in August. I think of giving you a call when the kiddies go down for nap, but they only sleep for about an hour, and well, you know that's not enough time

I had so much fun playing dress up.

I can guarantee you that there will be a next time! It was so cool that we could get together 2 & 1/2 months later and just pick up where we left off on the cruise. We're still working on that waterless cruise reunion in WDW in Aug. If the chatter and laughter coming from our tables on Saturday is any indication, 'Ohana won't know what hit them!

In other news... Guess what we're getting for Christmas!! A house! Yeup - that one we've been chasing for going on 6 months now. I'll tell you getting the financing was a real trick and nearly ended the whole deal.

Went to the dr. today for my first Post-Op visit. Good news and bad news...
Good news, everything looks great and he's very pleased. Bad news,stitches are still in. I kinda figured 7 days would be too short a time.

They took 2 new x-rays. I was quite surprised at the way it looked. The plate that was put in, appears to be about 3" long and sits lengthwise up my wrist. I was expecting to see about 3-4 pins but to my surprise,I counted at least 8!

I have to go back again on Dec. 1st. Hopefully the stitches will come out then....would be a nice,early birthday gift.

It's official!!! I'm a college graduate!!!

I'm working on it this season. Saw it a couple of weeks after we got back in Sept. But DH seems to think I have enough already - SILLY MAN! I can never have enough cameras. AND 6.5 frames per shot! I'm with envy! Please tell me you don't have it yet??????

No, a new camera is a long way off in my future.... too many "young kid bills" and stuff for luxuries like that....

Congratulations. I was thinking about you today. My sister and I went to McCalls for lunch. Since they don't wear name tags I don't know if you sister was there. They were really busy. Well maybe next time. If you come by to visit you sister maybe we can have our own meet at McCall's.

Dave and I are looking forward to August. Maybe we can actually get to meet some of the people we missed on the TOAL.

Only two more weeks till I head up North for my annual December visit. Guess I better find out where I put those gloves.

A couple of years ago when my mom had stage 3 breast cancer.... it was tough trying to help her! She actually tried to still do everything herself -- including trying to go into WORK everyday!!!!!
She works at DH's company. He would go by her desk every morning and then call me to let me how she was doing.... a few days he called to let me know that either him or my other brother (he used to work for dh) would be bringing her home! LOL! Most days I went by her house in the afternoon/early evening.

I saw this the other day.... I thought Jon would be interested (since after seeing y'alls cameras he doesn't like mine -- I picked mine because it was the lightest weight!!!)
He said it was more then he wanted to spend! He still wants a new camera body for himself. He figures we can share the lenses -- actually the macro/fish eye is his.......

All of the reviews that I have read on this indicate that Canon tried to squeeze too many pixels just to bump up the number. All of the comparisons with the 40D show that the 40 D has much better IQ. Laura, stick with your 40D, you have the better camera.

Wow! Your right, they are usually closed on Thanksgiving. That stinks, but if you get over time that's good. My friend called my last year at 5:30 AM and got me up. They were selling the Cricut bundle for $129. There were about 10 people in line when I got there. If it wasn't for Kaitlin neither I or my friend would of gotten on! I was thinking of maybe hitting Kmart and Meijers on T day.

Really with all the craft stuff I have, I should be shot if I go to Mike's or Joann's!

I remember working retail at Christmas. First year out of HS - Toys r us. I worked at a local garden-craft center one year and was the pointsettia lady! I had to water and take care of them. Restock them. Back then we even had to wrap the plastic pots with foil warp to make them look nice. After that Christmas I didn't want to see any pointsettias for a long time!
