Now that the White Sox are in the playoffs, and the Cubs also, i'll be a little busy. First time in 102 years both Chicago teams are in the playoffs at the same time. If it comes down to both teams in the series,,GO WHITE SOX

Hey neighbors!

Hoz it goin'? It's been SOOOOO HOT out here lately... who would have figured it was already Fall? Yesterday was a school holiday so 2 days ago we ran down to DL and grabbed a hotel via Priceline. We had a $45 3.5 star with totaled just under sixty bucks ... however on checking in they slapped me with a $12 resort fee at the Crown Plaza. Well... that was OK considering we got free cooked to order buffet breakfast with our priority club number on check in. That was worth an easy $20 bringing the lodging cost to be viewed as closer to $52 total....?

At any rate - we did DL and CA on monday and tuesday. It was pretty hot and semi-muggy for my taste. SO we sort of ran around in semi-slow motion... staying inside their airconditioned venues during the peak of the heat.

Yesterday my BIL who sailed with us - the one without his spouse who had only one little boy with him?.... he had his 3rd son born on Maui... an 8 pound whopper! The boy is gonna be named Landon ... in spite of my friendly suggestions as to the fine nature of the name "Tom"... which they declined to consider. And my other BIL who sailed with us with his spouse and daughter (from Boston) just entered into escrow to move into a new home... something with better schools and size. As for Alicia and I... I guess no news is good news - as much as any news might be viewed... Today we had another round of soccer practice earlier tonite... and other than that it's life as usual.

I wish it cool down a bit though...

Our dear sweet Samoyed just stole his 2nd porterhouse steak in as many weeks. Alicia was livid... she was actually hopping MAD.

I do mean ... hopping mad. And I must confess... she's sort of cute when she's hopping mad too. So while at the market buying a replacement porterhouse I recanted the steak stealing story to the check out clerk... and she chuckled while confessing my story was the highlite of her day.

Perhaps it will bring a smile to your day too...
