12/29/07 Western - New Year's Eve

We leave the 28th also. I think we will declare the official start of ourvacation to be the free happy hour at the Embassy Suites at the Airport which starts at 5:30.

Our planning package arrived today. Looks nicer than the book and DVD they used to send. I had my daughter with when we picked it up. We made the decision not to tell her until Christmas (although she keeps asking when we can go on a cruise again at least twice a week). Fortunately, the only "Mickey" is on the upper corner, so she didn't spot it.

DH and I actually leave on my bday with is December 20 to go to WDW until the cruise. We will be celebrating my bday, DH's birthday and GS's bday at WDW. DD's DH's bday is December 29, the first day of the cruise.

Noel, wow.. you will be partied out!! LOL That's great though...

Well, the only bday that is important in my house in November, is MINE... i am turning the big 3-0!! LOL ;)

Less than a month for us until final payments are due!! This cruise will be here soon!!

Ours is paid! :)

What excursions is everyone doing? Here are my possibilities:

Key West: Old Town Trolley Tour (on our own)

Grand Caymen:Still deciding b/w the Seven Mile Beach Break and the Pirate Encounter (which also stops for a bit at the 7 mile beach).

Cozumel: Probably no excursion -- just get off and look around.

Castaway Cay: renting the package (snorkle gear, float, stingray adventure and bike -- which i don't think we will use.. but it's still cheaper).

Still trying to iron things out with DH.
DH looked interested in the fishing excursion thru DCL at Castaway Cay.. but it's expensive - however, i am thinking that it might be nice to surprise him with it as a Christmas Gift.... hmm... (he doesn't do any of the booking, so i am safe with him not knowing about it if i book in october.) :)

Sounds like fun but we are not big fishermen.

Noel, I thought i read here recently that they stopped the parasailing at cc? I would do a search or ask, but i thought it was stopped, unless it is back...

Last time I did tandem with my 13 year GD Aspen. She just LOVED parasailing. I know we will be going again but probably she will want to solo this time.

bumping guys!! Happy labor day! I decided to work for a few hours (peace and quiet) and close up at 2pm to go have a cookout with my family.. enjoy the day! It's about 80 deg. here and sunny/ breezy by the water.. perfect!!

OT - but i talked to my MIL yesterday who left for the 4 night cruise on the Wonder yesterday, and i was sooo jealous and ready for it to be December! LOL But, then again, planning is half the fun right?! LOL ;)

Have a good day everyone!

Went online on the DCL web site and there are only three catagories left for our cruise 6, 11 & 12. Don't want to wish my life away, but I am really looking forward to the cruise! My daughter and hubbie loved the National Treasure movie and the sequel comes out at xmas - so we will save watching it for the ship. pirate:

Oh, cool!! Good to know! I liked that movie too.. Are you sure that they will show it on the ship? That would be cool!

I am not SURE - but we were on a 3 night the night they released the last POTC movie at midnight and sure enough it was shown at midnight on the cruise. Also saw Dinosaur the weekend it was released onboard!pirate:

Is that movie connected with Disney at all?

Yes, National Treasure is a Disney movie. I loved the first one and can't wait to watch the new one on the Magic!!!
