That first baby is such a blessing. Best wishes for a safe and quick delivery for your new little man!:thumbsup2

Gee, I bet you were laughing since I forgot to type the last part of intertainment.:rotfl2: Glad I could cheer you up.:thumbsup2

Andy, best wishes for a trouble free delivery. Hope to see a picture of your new little man when you get the time to post one.:cloud9:

only drag-n-fly will probably appreciate this but just learned today that the Atlanta Thrashers' mascot is leaving Wed for a 2 week vacation so he wont be able to stop by the hospital after the little guy gets here. :sad1: All my hard work and planning to make that happen are for nothing:sad: I mean what pic are we going to use for our birth announcemnt?

So tell us what you did in Savannah

Andy ... I know it's taken a while to get back ... sorry ... crazy here. :-) We didn't get out much in Savannah. My husband was in training every day until around 5:00 so it didn't give us much time for fun. :-) The kids and I made it to the pool every day though. We also took time to go down to River Street and have dinner at Huey's, walk through the shop and visit the Savannah Candy Kitchen ... yummy :-) I know it's silly, but we also went to a Fudruckers while we were there ... haven't been to one in years and there aren't any around us ... same with Sonic. Although we actually did just get a Sonic here last month.

Okay....I spent way too long trying to find everyone's room numbers again. Please tell me so that I may note it down this time....

Ours is 7543. Almost exactly underneath Brenda I might add....
Our room number is 7514!

chhall28 So you didnt make it to the Breakfast Club? You need to make a special trip...

Best wishes to our Texas friends on here. Batten down the hatches

Believe me those first 6 weeks are such a blur you won't care and the mascot will still be around once you come out of that newborn coma....PUSH ANDY PUSH!!!!!!

Drinking?? I heard drinking and here I am finally paying attention! :lmao: Annette and I are soul sisters thats for sure. :thumbsup2

Been working my rat's hiney off. :rolleyes1 How many points do you get before they kick you off entirely??? Since Friday night I have had 19 hours of sleep. If it's not one thing its another. Had an appt with the chiropractor for the first time on Monday (neck pain is now becoming low back pain as well - compensating) but that got side railed having to take my mom to the ER. Everythings fine but they wanted to rule out a heart attack. I told them they were wasting their time but you know those medical people. :lmao: She had overexerted herself helping out with the church and just had a muscle strain. And probably a gallbladder attack if you ask me. She fretted over it and shot her blood pressure to 220/118. Trying to have a stroke on me. :sad2: And of course work has been a roller coaster.

Going to chiropractor tomorrow before DD and I head down to Austin for some fun...just the girls! Will see Billy Bob Thornton and his band play, see the bats, canoe in Town Lake, swim in Barton Springs, etc. Don't know what kind of music but DD will think its awesome just because he is an actor. :rotfl2:

As for this Texan, we shouldn't see any of it. Maybe cooler weather, might see some rain if it comes inland enough. The weather is cooling off here a little bit after 6 straight days of 100+ weather. For that we can thank her. :goodvibes

Good luck Andy! Hope everything goes well! :wizard:

Howdy ya'll.

Ok, Courtney and Annette, when are we gonna ditch the family and have a drink...or two.....or three...or....:rolleyes1

Heck Courtney, I thought you already went to Austin. Now I'm going to have to endure another few days without you around:sad2: I need to do something with just Lindsey before school starts. We would both like to go back to Galveston for a couple days. Everytime we have gone (4 times)it was for a cruise. So far we have only made it through one and a half of the historic mansions. Our goal is to finish them all in this lifetime:rotfl2: I just don't think I'm brave enough to drive through Dallas to get to I-45. :scared: If you have any ideas on an alternate route to 45 south please share. We have friends in Weatherford we would stop and spend the night with,so would be coming into Ft Worth on I-20. I'm thinking maybe coming in that way, I would miss the biggest part of the city. I'm sure I could handle Houston as long as we didn't hit it at rush hour.
I hear you on the heat girl. Been roasting up here too,and now the humidity is back. Which is all we got from Dolly.
I'm glad your mom is ok.I know it was scary, even if you are in the medical field. Take care of that back. You have to be in top form for parasailing on CC:thumbsup2
Ok, I'll be back later. I need to try to tame this mess on my head. Gawd I hate humidity. Have to take Michael in for his allergy shots, and my hair looks like an old mop.:scared1:

I wonder if Andy's little guy has arrived yet? I think they were supposed to induce last night.

Come on kids! I take off for a week and a half and only two pages of postings???

Congrats Andyman!

So our mover picked us up on Wednesday, promised us delivery on the following Monday. We cleared our Army quarters Thursday. Our plan was to drive Thursday afternoon and get here about 10:00 at night. Unfortunately one weird mishap after another had us leaving Oklahoma about 6:30 PM. We checked in to our hotel room about 3:00 AM Friday morning.

We were supposed to get housing on Fort Leavenworth, but it was beyond bad. I would use the word horrific. We looked at one that literally had ceiling tiles laying on the floor in the living room. Only one of the five that we looked at had a dishwasher. Seriously, someone needs to post a video on youtube. That bad. America's heroes serve in combat for 15 months and come home to quarters that America's poorest inner city dwellers wouldn't be expected to live in.

So after getting 4 hours of sleep, and scouring the greater Leavenworth, Kansas area for a rental house, we lucked into an amazing, yet tiny house. 1350 square feet (we came from a house twice this size-that had a basement for storage!). Fabulous location, though. We are on the 10th hole, and the 11th putting green (I think that's what you call it) of the local Country Club, so close that I could spit off my deck and onto a golfer, should I decide to take up golfer spitting. I'll have to post a picture. Our house was built in 1971 and is the last house in a row of older homes before a neighorhood of brand spanking new "Country Club Estates" homes begin.

Our house just sold, I think it is in escrow still and I totally wish we had stumbled on it a week earlier. The asking price was $145,000 and it has tremendous potential for expansion and updating. We are only here for a year though, so I guess it was meant to be just a rental for us.

Anyway, it's good to be "home".

Brenda- We were moved by the local Wheaton affialiate. James something. His dad and brother own the company. Good move. So far, no damage noticed, but I haven't gotten a chance to inspect details under good lighting in the living room. We weighed in at 14,500 almost on the nose and moved another 1,200 in our vehicle so right at our weight limit, I think. Just fine if they deduct pro gear.

Cheers,
Adrianna

Welcome home girl! :cool1: Glad to hear the move went well. That's sad when the housing is that bad. I'm happy you were able to find something suitable for you family.
Ya know, all you have to do is make friends with your pack girl, and they will label a few extra boxes as pro for you. That's alot of stuff to fit into a 1350 sq ft house:rolleyes1 But as you say, it's only one year. Have fun unpacking all those boxes.:lmao: And don't go spitting on the golfers. They would be looking up in the trees for a bird.:rotfl2:

Hello everyone. I thought I would let you know that AndymanGA and his wife welcomed Bryson Shaw into the world this evening at 5:15 est. :yay: He weighted 8 lbs 11 ozs and was 21 1/2 in long. Mommy, Daddy and Bryson are doing great. We can't wait to see him tomorrow. We're glad we get to because earlier in the week DH, DS, DD and I all had strep but we are all better now. Yuck:sick:

Also, our fish extenders arrived today. Thanks to whoever recommended the lady on ebay. They turned out great:) Can you believe five months from today, we'll be on our way:cool1:

Glad to hear you got moved Adrianna. I can't imagine moving with two little ones. Glad to hear it went so smooth.

Gotta run get packed to head to see Bryson tomorrow. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Exactly! Welcome to the planet! I'm so glad to hear everything went well. He was a good size, wasn't he?!? :scared: I'm used to six pounders myself. At least he was a good length too.

Adrianna, glad everything went well for the move. I share your sentiments regarding how we treat our heroes. I did a report on the Gulf War Syndrome years ago. It's amazing that we made our soldiers, fighting for our country, live in poverty so that they could afford medical care (Medicaid) for their kids after transmitting something back home due to chemical warfare. I'm still so thankful Mike wasn't affected and then DS not being affected. That was my first worry. Glad to hear you found something suitable. Good luck with the size. :wizard:

Exactly! Wouldn't have it any other way. :woohoo: We'll definitely have to plan on that one.

Sorry you have to endure a few more days without me. We will be back Sunday. Short little trip. As for Galveston, it's been years since even I went down there and we have never done the tours. Mike's family own some land down there but is undeveloped. Bought it years ago for almost nothing but now it's worth loads.

As for the road trip, sure I can help out on that. Now, where are you coming from again? I can give you multiple routes from wherever. Even helped my dad find a better route to Henryetta (his hometown) from Houston including visiting us in North Ft Worth, COMPLETELY bypassing Dallas. Or at least most of it.

Still looking forward to the parasailing.

Congrats Andy! Sounds like a big healthy boy!:lovestruc :thumbsup2 Have fun Courtney! My cousin and her husband live in Galveston. They have one of those houses on stilts! My ds5 has the flu and is throwing up every 15 minutes. We brought him into our bed and he no sooner got to sleep and peed the bed!!! I spent the whole day laundering :laundy: bedding and taking care of my baby! Oh ya I forgot ....Im not done whining yet I broke my toe...:scared: Frig:sad2:

Thanks for the well wishes. As soon as I upload some pics to photobucket I'll post them
