12/24/08 Christmas Cruise on the Wonder

so who's gonna run the 5k at Castaway Cay with me:rotfl2:

I will admire you from afar (preferably from my hammock) with my conch cooler well entrenched in my grips! Honestly I am jealous of your energy level. After running after three kids, 3 cats a dog and 4 birds and a house to look after I am so bushed sometimes I can barely drag myself onto a treadmill!:rotfl2:

Not me:sad2: My idea of a workout on a cruise is taking the stairs.::yes:: But you go right ahead Andy. We'll cheer you on from our hammock:thumbsup2

HAHAHA:laughing: OMG i just said the same thing below...too funny! I can just see all us gals with Andy's wife cheering him on horizontally!

Here's the workout from Saturday since you asked:yay:

Again, I am not an athlete but still finished this. The fastest time was around 10 minutes. That was definitely not my time:lmao:

WOW! I'm impressed Andy. Good for you for hanging in there and finishing the course. :thumbsup2 I was exhausted just looking at it :rotfl2:

Today is our 28th wedding anniversary. I started the day out feeling down because Dale isn't here. Heck, he's hardly ever home on our anniversary. Life of a trucker. We knew that going into our marriage, and we still chose to get married in the middle of his busy season:lmao: Valerie and Lindsey took me to lunch to celebrate. Then we came home and looked at old photos of us way back when. When we were young, and thin, and Dale had all his hair.:rotfl2: It wasn't as nice as having Dale with us, but I wasn't alone, and feel so much better.

Guess I'd best get off here and go shock the pool before the storm gets here. Don't want to get up to a green yucky mess:scared1:

See ya'll later

Happy Anniversary!

What did you do???

Not much. Pretty harmless really. I called Annette by the wrong name (called her Brenda) on another thread (I had been up too late and working too much). She told me how I got her wrong and that i must have been in the sauce again. I told her she was right, but no sauce lately. Besides, I knew who my drinking buddy was. Those are true friends....ones who drink with you and then ones who are in jail with you.:smokin:

Thank you all for the well wishes.

Hi Mike!:wave2: Great. Now we have a race. That makes it much more interesting to watch from our hammocks:beach:

uh oh Courtney. you're a bad bad girl::yes:: :rotfl2: But seriously, they shut the thread down because of that? :confused3

Two more days of dance camp, and I get my mornings back. But then we start swim practice four evenings a week.:faint:

I think Mike may think it's a 5 yd race. :lmao: It should be interesting. He's not as young as he thinks he is. Right now he's coughing up a lung due to allergies, etc.

As for the thread....the mod said okay your question is answered its time to close this thread.

Is it a swim team? I wish the practices for that were in the evening here. They are always like 9-11 M-F. Who the heck can make that unless one person doesn't work? They even have a swim team for old folks like me!

What was the initial question/thread about? I am thinking that the mods give a little more latitude in the cruise meet threads, because sometimes we get way off topic. And I think it's all good.

My husband is currently somewhere in the air between Kuwait and here. He will be on US soil tomorrow. He will not be home to us until the 28th, but just the fact that he will be soon be on US soil is a huge relief to me.

The kids and I just got back from the free movie at the mall which was Evan Almighty. I was pretty inspired by something God said to Evan. Something to the effect of "people are always asking for things like love and success yet when opportunities to be loved or loving or successfull are put in front of them they can't seem to see the forest for the trees". Okay, that was by no means a direct quote but something for me to meditate on nevertheless. Sometimes it's not about the gift, but instead the opportunity. And that is the extent of my Holy rolling for today.

That was great~! I had a really sad day yesterday. A very dear friend of mine passed away due to cancer. Then the wonderful italian fellow who painted our house last month died on Friday and then while we were away at Kananaskis my Mom had a mild stroke. I knew all this yesterday but I didn't feel like talking about it:sick:

That was a good one Mike:rotfl2: Sorry his allergies are acting up.Hope he feels better soon. Michael's allergies are so bad he has to take shots.(if it grows, or has hair, he's allergic)
I hope he's doing ok. They were supposed to be back this week, so I didn't have them mix up the shots for Dale to give him. Now I find out it's going to be at least one more week before they get home.

Yes. It's the YMCA swim team. She is on the school swim team, but needs to stay in practice or die once school practice starts in Sept:lmao:

Was people getting ugly with you on that thread? I can't imagine the mod shutting it down for you joking around.

I thought she said it was Annette's meet and greet thread. I thought they did too. Which is why I was concerned.

I know you are happy as can be to have your husband home soon. Are they going to have a welcome home ceremony at Ft Sill? We saw the movie awhile back. I completely agree with your thoughts on the comment.

:offtopic: Well, I spent the day over on my group cruise board.
RCCL revealed more info on our ship which is being built as we speak. We now have a booking date, sail date, and itinerary. Man this ship is HUGE!!!! Nuff said bout that:rolleyes1
