We didn't get our docs. I guess they will be here on Monday. I have been waiting for them as I am counting down. Also no one has answered me about wristbands so I guess that means no one is interested in wearing them? I thought it was a great idea but maybe not since we are planning two meet and greets, right? I thought the wristbands would be nice for those of us arriving early in case we ran into one another on property. I will look around the house it seems to me I remember ordering some a while ago for a church event and having some left over. If I can find them may be I will have enough here if anyone is still interested. I will check later today.

Hey Barb! I'll bet you'll get your docs on Monday. I was sooo excited about getting ours last week until I realized that I only had them for 1/2 of my family! I was told the others would come on Monday - hoping that's the case...thankfully we still have a few weeks before the cruise to get them. Let us know when you get yours!

And I'm so sorry, I thought I had PM'ed you about the wristbands. I've read about lots of other DISgroups who have done these & you are so sweet to try to organize this for those in our group who might want to do it. I think our family will pass on this though.

I found my wristbands. There are twenty in a bag. I only have one bag. They are adult size. They are purple. I could see if could get a rush order if we need more. I was thinking you could decorate them yourselves if you wanted with small pins or leave them plain. If we want more I would need to know by Thanksgiving. Also I would have to deliver to your stateroom unless you saw me wearing mine at the terminal. Whatever you all want to do is groovy with me. I hope the new family is in on the FE exchange. Did someone explain that to her? I went ahead and included them because I was packing the gifts for everyone.

Proud2BMomof3 - Welcome to our meet and the Dis!! FE is short for Fish Extender. Its a sort of "secret santa" kind of gift exchange that a lot of DISers do on their cruises. Here's a link with more details: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=33184281&postcount=2 The official cut-off date for our FE Exchange was 11/19. If you think its something you want to participate in, I'm sure those of us with extra gifts would be happy to include you in our giving, but there are likely some in the group who have made or ordered enough for the numbers we had on 11/19. Tina (Downrivermama) is our FE coordinator and could probably just note you as a late arrival if you're interested.

FE means Fish Extender. On everyone's stateroom there is a fish that holds memos and such. We have found it can also hold fish extenders for the purpose of giving small trinkets and gifts to people who are interested in this exchange. A fish extender looks like a long pocket holder. You can look at ebay for ideas they have some you can buy. Personally I made ours. It took me only an hour and I reallly spruced it up with decorations. You can also look up locker pockets on the internet for ideas that is where I got my idea. Anyway we hang these on the fish outside our stateroom and people come along and put small items into our fish extenders. They don't have to be expensive just some little gift for each person in the stateroom. This happens through out the cruise by all the people on the list who are interested. Some give magnets from their home town, some give homemade items, and some find unique little inexpensive trinkets to give. Keychains, cards, pens pencils, etc. I hope this helps. I hope you join in this fun. It really is not expensive if you put your thinking cap on it is easy to do.

Hey guys can I get a FE list? I need to start making my packages! We went to Vegas this weekend and I am now sick as a dog!! It was actually my first trip there and I have to say I am not the biggest fan. Which is really wierd becuase I will travel pretty much anywhere and try anything. Maybe it was the virus! I loved the over the top buildings and such but as for the all night partying I guess it is just not for me! I am no stick in the mud and I love to see folks have a good time I just cannot recover from it anymore so I just don't even try it! I told Tony "I will roll with you all night on the Disney Cruise Line. I jsut cannot handle casinos full of smoke!" I think I am officially an old lady!! Sorry to babble! I need to go get busy on my FE stuff!

Shannon I'm so sorry you got sick! It's no fun to be sick especially on vacation. I've never been to Vegas...it looks like a lot of fun when I see it highlighted on travel shows...but I'm sorry to say I'm like you - I can no longer bounce back like I used to! You and I can be old ladies together - oldies but goodies, that is! LOL!

I'm sorry you got sick, too! Let's all get it out of our systems now. Better now than in 26 days! I got sick last weekend. Whew, I don't know what I had. I won't give you any details, but I was really sick to my stomach and my throat was killing me. A rapid strep test came back negative but the doc thought that's what I had so I was on a z-pack last week. Feel much better now thank goodness!

Tonight is the Miley Cyrus concert in Charlotte - woo hooo!

Do you remember how long the concert was? Any idea how long Metro Station played and if they were something that the younger crowd (7-8 year olds) enjoyed?

DH is taking us downtown to the concert, but I'm not sure if we're going to go for the whole thing or skip the opening band. Would love to get your opinion.

Right now we have a room booked downtown so that we don't have to fight the traffic home. Not sure if we're going to keep it, though, so I'm trying to figure out how long to tell DH the concert might last if he is coming back to pick us up.

Do you know anywhere I can find a playlist for the show?

Leslie, were your girls bouncing off the walls today? DD wore a HM t-shirt and little mini-boots to school I think I've convinced her to just wear jeans and a l/s shirt tonight so that we can buy a concert tshirt and slip it over her shirt at the concert.

We did not get our docs yet. If they do not come today I will be calling to see when they are suppose to arrive. Thanks Tina for the update. So far no one has expressed interest in wristbands which is okay. I can always save these for a church event. We are still having the meet and greets, correct? Did we officially decide when and where on the ship that would be? I am sorry you guys are suffering with those sinus colds. Mark and I had that stuff early in October, then we got our flu shots. Anytime one of my students shows any signs of sniffles I am allowed to send them home because of the H1N1. Because we dont have little children we havent got to get vacinated for that yet. We are hoping they lift that before we leave. We are very cautious about things like this.

Hey Kimberly- DD8 wanted to do the same thing . . . wear jeans and a l/s tee so she could buy a Miley shirt to wear on top. But, this morning, she wore her "ugliest jeans" and High School Musical t-shirt to school so her "cute clothes" would be clean for tonight. DD6 is completely uninterested in what she's going to wear! I think its going to be a lot of fun!!
