Yes, he is mostly better. Still a little snotty, but nothing at all like last week.

Morning everyone! :wave2:

Jen, glad you made it safely home....

Very busy day today...MIL comes this evening. Going to ship Christmas gifts, get my shopping done, final house cleaning, set up guest room, etc. I'm going to try to get a workout in...helps with stress of MIL coming...

Of course, I woke up with a scratchy throat and cough...like I may be trying to get something. So I drank my orange juice, the workout should help, :dance3: and I am just not going to acknowledge it--no time to be sick. They won't give me my flu shot if I have a cold...So I'm not getting one! :teeth:

I heard Washington had their wettest month ever....that will do it to you Susan...hang in there...I bet we can find you some Sun in a few weeks. :sunny:

When does everyone get out of school? Our last day is today...

[QUOTE="Got Disney"
Hard to think of what to get them and since they both still believe in Santa...well...although I did tell them that I e-mailed Santa and told him that since we were going on this big vacation to give most of there gifts to children who have nothing and really need them...Michael says "Yes" that would be nice ...Branden says "NOT"...geesh Tweens

So will get them that plus a few other things to open when we get back...after all it is christmas and they are still young and believe!!!

What are you all getting your kids this year..give me some ideas...WE have lots of games cause Saterdays is family game night and Fridays Family movie night so we are set there.

HOHOHO :santa: after all its only $$$$$$ right :rolleyes1[/QUOTE]

Hi Robin,
Good question about what to get for Christmas because I am stumped myself. This year is so different, with being on the ship and limiting the amount of stuff we lug onboard. My kids are past Santa (unfortunately :sad2: ) so I can bring wrapped presents and they won't wonder why I have gifts from Santa. I am thinking about finding some little things so they can open stuff on Christmas and gift cards for both. That way they can go pick something out after we get home. I'm thinking space saving here and that is all I can come up with. It is worth the challenge to be on the cruise for the holiday.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Shelly

Good Morning,
Our last day is tomorrow with it being a half day (why bother :confused3 ). So the kids are excited about their break.
I have to work on Sat. (hair traumas to fix) so they will be with DH all day.
Is anyone going out the "DAY AFTER!!!"? My DD wants to go this year to see what goes on, she thinks it is some secret thing. No mystery there, it will be wall to wall people, fighting over things, spreading Christmas cheer  . I'm going to try to miss that one.
Happy Thanksgiving to all,
Shelly

25 days guys! :cheer2:

morning everyone! i hope you all had a great weekend and a good monday. if i appear to disappear for periods of time, i got a wii on sunday. so i've been playing a lot of that :rotfl2: i think last night i was in the basement playing from about 5pm to 8pm... i stopped for about 10min to eat. then i watched heroes and went to bed. but yeah, it was quite the adventure getting it on sunday. i stood outside best buy for an hour and a half or so. which wasn't too bad. i got there a little before 730 i guess. and they handed out tickets at 8. i got ticket number 43 out of 63. so not bad at all. the best part though was we got to meet chad michael murray. not sure if you guys know who he is. i find a lot of people are having problems with that. he was on the first couple seasons of gilmore girls. um, he was in freaky friday with lindsay lohan, um cinderella story with hilary duff. and he's on one tree hill now. but it was really cool. i'm also very excited, i found gummi bears on dvd yesterday. i loved that show!

haha so yeah, it's been a good weekend and monday for me. and only 2 more days of work this week! whoohoo!

I'd be careful about bringing wrapped gifts! All the airline websites say do not even being wrapped gifts in your checked bags as they may be opened by the TSA screeners. I am bringing wrapping paper and gift bags and wrapping things after we are on board just to be safe.

good morning..wow 25 days..cnt believe it..
kat great advice to pass on abt the wrapped gifts..you are sooo right...and not to mention..stealing..i heard that also could be a problem..

Howdy, Howdy, Howdy, everyone,
Just want to start by saying "Life is good"!! :goodvibes

Today is Michaels 10th B-day and he wants to eat at McDonalds for his dinner..YUCK...they are only alowed to get food from there once a month but Birthdays don't count...he also wants an Entemens chocolet cake...
Has he made my job tonight easy or what...we do have a big party for him on Saterday...we will open his family presents tonight. :teeth:

Jen glad that you made it home safe...how was your traffic? Was it nice to see your family? :)

As for bringing presents...will wrap/not wrap(that is the question) just a couple of xbox360 games and maybe a couple of other things. Told the boys that Santa will do a quick stop on the ship and leave the rest at home since they will be home day after Christmas. :confused3

I will be going out also for "Black Friday" if can get my butt out of bed...I like seeing all the crazy people that "Just goota have it " right then and there...
I don't usually need something that bad so I leave it up to those that do. But it is fun to go out and be involved.

I am planning on finishing all this weekend...signs and clothing,Christmas presents, and such. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can get it all done!!1 :thumbsup2

Want to get all my ducks(have no ducks so I am using fish) :goodvibes in a row. :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

Fair warning -- the TSA says not to wrap gifts, even in checked luggage. If they feel the need to inspect a package, they will tear it open, likely with little regard for what is inside.

We plan to hide some small items in my rolling garment bag -- it will be the one bag we know the kids will have no reason to be in since it is adult suits and dresses.

tell Michael happy b-day!!

Traffic wasn't bad at all...and my family was sleeping by the time i got home

I ordered a gift online for DB so I really only need to find something else for his DW, then they are done. DM is done as are DD and DH (unless I see something really special). DF is the only one I really haven't finished. I will just have to keep looking, I guess.

I am so tired. Not sleeping well. I am sure part of it is the excitement of the trip getting so close. I know I will be a complete wreck the last few days I will be so excited.

I will probably go out on Friday but I don't need much. Mom does, though. Need to get new locks for all her doors if nothing else!! :thumbsup2 Plus there are still things she needs for the house. Not sure if she wants to get them now or wait until next week, though. Need to ask her.

And POTC II is out on DVD 2 weeks from today!! That will be a good thing!! Casual day tomorrow is a good thing too :woohoo: , then a 4 day weekend, even better.

Happy birthday :bday: to Michael!

Wow mom, Mickey Ds and Entenmanns....life is GOOD....but whatever makes them happy, right? :rolleyes1

Holly (I think--maybe Heidi?? :confused3 I know you guys are sisters, just haven't gotten which is which down yet.) I got through heroes last night with no tutoring...but I still don't know what save the cheerleader, save the world is about...do you? You'll have to let us know how you like the Wii...the boys are considering a new game system...but it will be after Christmas before they decide and do anything...my youngest loved the demo of it on TV, his brothers aren't so sure.

Waiting for Kevin to get home, then he and I are going to take my car for an extra special car wash. There is a place near here where they will really do a good job in the back. The boys usually clean it for me for a fee, but I want a super-duper job if we're going to be squiring MIL around.

I got my out of town gifts shipped today, and now have an excuse to run to Kohls for black Friday...I picked up a Salvation Army Angel at church. I have to have the child's things bought and back to the church by Monday, so I will get out on Black Friday. I'm like Robin, I like a little dose of it. I will probably just hit Kohls near here, and then I'll be fine.

Kev home, argument ensues....he want to hang out and play....sigh....bye!

When does everyone get out of school? Our last day is today...

Our last day is tomorrow 11:15. 11am for kids and as soon as the buses leave - I'm gone.

I have set up haircuts for everyone, ortho appts and dentist for kids and now i need to see doctor for flu shot and I have most of the mandane stuff done for the cruise.

I need to make a list of presents because i haven't started christmas shopping. DH and I were going out Friday but now he and kids are diving Friday and Saturday. They did their first open water dive Sunday and poor Nick turned blue!

Our kids have a full day tomorrow. And I just looked at the online calendar and it says Christmas break starts at the end of the school day on DECEMBER 18!!! What the heck is that??? I have to check the calendar we have at home. Too late to change plans now, she will just have to miss a day a day if that's what they are doing.

My boys are out today for Thanksgiving. They have short days every Tuesday, they get out 1 hr 15 minutes earlier. They go back Monday.

Christmas break starts on Dec. 18th but their last day in on the 15th(friday)
They dont count the weekend as part of there break.

The boys will miss one week of school since we are going to WDW first but will be haveing HW given to them by there teachers and we do alot of it on the plane.

Got the xbox ordered and will pick up at best buy tomorrow...saved 20 % on some excessories so did it that way. Still when done and getting all needed like xbox games ,another controller, 12mo. of xbox live , thing to make it wireless and so on will be around $800.00....geesh things are not cheep anymore. Still need to get a few more things for them.

But can't complain after all my dh and me we have the best gift of all....the cruise. :teeth:

Ahhhhhh "Yes" life is good!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Kat, maybe that is a misprint and the first day of break is the 18th. Hard to imagine they would make them come in just one day that week.

If not, I wouldn't worry about her missing that day...my guess is a lot of kids will be out, the teacher will be doing grades and they will have a party of some sort. Our kids only had yesterday or today for this week. Out of 24 kids in Kev's 4th grade class they only had 19 there today. He said it was "peaceful" because two really annoying people were among those gone!

Finally finished my pre-MIL chores. Now I'm going to try a shower, whaddaya think? I never got one after working out this morning--went straight to errands. And of course, I did run into pretty much everyone I know!

Kat,
Another busy day for me so am just catching up on the posts. We are driving to port (we are only 9 hours and MIL won't fly :sad2: ), do you think we will have a problem at the port? I guess I could call DCL. I just figured I could wrap it all, to hide from little eyes.
Shelly

Good night all. Doesn't seem to be much going on this evening. Everyone is cooking or entertaining family, I guess. I hope everyone has a really wonderful Thanksgiving.
