Ugh, can't sleep. No one around so I'm talking to myself. DD had one of her friends spend the night so we had two 10yo girls last night. They had lots of fun, though. Somehow the two of them ened up in our bed! Now how the heck did that happen??? DH gave up and went to the spare room. I pushed DD over and slept on my own usual spot . Woke up with my sinuses killing me and now can't get back to sleep. Took some sudafed. Hopefully the doctor will be able to give me something better when I go in a few weeks.

I read everyone's posts last night and I'm once again saddened by how many people's lives are affected by that disease....sorry to all of you who have lost someone, and hopefully this cruise will be a good diversion...

Morning Sherrena. Yeah, I took some sudafed and finally got back to sleep. DD kicked me awake around 8:00. She and her friend are in her room playing I Spy now. DH is still asleep so here I am DISing

just peeking in real quick cause i've been a little m.i.a.

when i got home from work on thursday we had no power. and the power did not come back on until 11pm that night! crazy! my mom said it turned off as soon as she walked in the door at 3pm. all she could think was so much for getting home early! haha...

then yesterday i had a crazy morning getting ready for work. i had to run around and do my boss a favor. and then last night i had to babysit... whew! busy friday! haha

hope everyone had a good last 2 days! and i hope everyone has a great weekend. we're going down to wilmington to see heidi and bring her home for thanksgiving tomorrow. should be good times had by all!



oh yes... and seeing as how i was talking about my most favorite band in the world the other day (o.a.r.). i had an AMAZING afternoon yesterday. i was sitting eating lunch in jerry's (for those of you who don't know jerry's... it's a sub and pizza place, i know they're all over maryland, i'm not sure if other states have them or not...) and this couple walks in. and i'm like wow that guy looks like someone. needless to say within about 15 seconds i figured out who he looked like. and i heard his wife on the phone say that she and marc were about to eat lunch. all i could think is that there's no way there are 2 people who look exactly the same and have exactly the same name. plus he's from rockville. so i politely sat and waited until they were done eating. and as they were walking by me on the way out, i said excuse me, can i be either really rude or really retarded for about 5 seconds. guy says sure. and i knew instantly as he said that i was right and it was him... I MET THE LEAD SINGER FROM O.A.R. YESTERDAY!! OMG! it was awesome. i talked to him and his wife for a little bit and i got his autograph. omg it was so cool! i sent a text to my sister hayley at one point saying that he was 10ft from me. she was like where are you. i said jerry's she was like what the heck. it's crazy! omg, i still can hardly believe it happened! i just hope i didn't sound like a huge fool. i wish i could have talked to him a little bit longer but i didn't want to be really rude and i'm sure he and his wife were trying to have a nice afternoon. but man! it was cool. and the funniest thing, when i was walking to my car to get in it to go to jerry's. i was really looking at some of the stickers. and i have on that says '...of a revolution' (that's what o.a.r. stands for...) and i remember really looking at it thinking how great a band they were. and my mom thinks its stupid i have a band sticker on my car (it's the only band sticker i have on there too)... and i remember thinking i don't care what my mom thinks, i will show my o.a.r. pride... and about 15 minutes later i was meeting the lead singer

so that's my adventure from yesterday. i'm still, just really... wow!

once again have a great weekend everyone. i'll be back at some point on sunday!

IN 4 WEEKS WE CRUISE . I will be waking up in Cape Canaveral, smelling salt water and trying to see that wonderful Magic just sitting there, waiting for me.

Heidi, I will definately say a prayer. Please keep us posted. Glad you are getting to go home this weekend for a break.

Shelly . I hope this helps your MIL make it through the holidays. Very sad.

Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday. First one since he's passed and I find myself going out of my way not to think about it.

Well, I found High School Musical tickets yesterday. They were harder to come by than I thought. I had 4 windows open on TicketMaster when the pre-sale opened up and nothing decent came up for about 5 minutes. One present down.

Have to go to the mall today. My goal....dress shoes for Julia, which I sure she will make me nuts , because she is so picky, and a nuetral dress sandals for me. Giving that it is November I am not putting much hope of accomplishing that. May have to get on-line this week.

Kat, I hope you feel better. Gosh, flying must cause you some prolems with all you sinus issues.

Four weeks Mary Ann.....

Let's all just focus on that...

I have to shop for shoes with the boys, but DS14 is on a retreat so I'll have to wait until tomorrow. That will NOT be fun. They all need new sneakers, and getting them all something they're happy with is rough. We usually give in and let them have something that costs a bit more than we think they should spend just because it is pretty much what they wear every day. Unlike girls, they don't care to have a lot of different pairs of shoes...one pair of sneakers works with everything, so they might as well really like them.

Today I think will be intense house cleaning...the boys need to do their rooms, etc. before Grandma comes. ewwwwwww....

It, eh??? I hear you there!!!! Yeah, we really need to get dd some shoes for winter. All she will wear right now are her crocs but it is getting too cold. If she'd at least wear socks with them that would be one thing.... have to find her some nice tops for the cruise too. Maybe tomorrow for me too. Today is movie.

I have been working on signs this morning. Again! We will have a hard time finding our door, I think! It will be hidden under signs!!

Good morning another non sleeper - its not even 6am here.

Got my cafepress order and my shirt is too small. Goning to send it back . I know I have been quiet on the boards but what can I say?? Unlike me, I know. My husband was actually home last night and we sat and watched some of the stuff I have stored on the DVR - mostly CSI.

Need to make some coffee I've been kinda down lately (no real reason, by the way) my DH says its seasonal affective disorder SAD. He claims I get it every year and all the rain and stormy weather has brought it on a little early. Told me to go tan - not for the tan but for the lights!!!!

I hope you have a good day. We found some pretty sandals for Sam a while back. Scary thing is they fit me too! And I have mine already. Trying to find cruise clothes/shoes in November in your area or mine is almost impossible, isn't it???

Yes, when I fly in the winter I just make sure i have lots of sudafed. Like I said, I live on the stuff in the winter. And now that you have to sign your life away I live on the sudafe PE stuff. It works pretty well. But I am going to talk to my doctor when I go the first week of December and see if she can give me something better.

4 weeks from today we will be waking up in Orlando and driving to port! And then meeting everyone!!! It really is getting close, isn't it????

DH was supposed to get the suitcases down last night and didn't feel like it . If I have to do it myself today I will!

I had looked into getting High School Musical tickets for Sam but it is playing at the big field house in Indy where they do things like the ice shows and Ringling Brothers, the Pacers play, etc. Much too large and two tickets would be a bit more than I can really afford with everything else we are spending right now. She hasn't asked to go, either, so I don't feel like I am being too terrible a mom.

LOL! Which style tid you order? If you orderd one of the cap sleeve ones I am sure! My 10 yo DD got a women's medium and it is a perfect fit!!! I ordered the regular ladies' style knowing the cap sleeve would never fit me. Like many of the shirts I see these days, they are made for anorexic waifs with no *****. Not that mine are much to brag about, but still....

I found shoes and DD got a pair of vans for causal everyday times. She loves them and has worn them almost everyday for a week - and that's saying a lot for Miss fashion princess.

My shoes are heels my DD and DH encouraged me to buy them now I'm afraid I will look like a 15 yr only in their first pair of heels. Ackward!!!

Nick wears nothing but merils. I should really look for some vans for him too. suede merils just will look funny with him in shorts and a t.
