How many in your party? I would go for the lunch over dinner. Arrive at 11:15 and ask about being seated early and request the tank. We just returned and did both lunch and dinner and I do not want to do dinner again. It was so loud and crazy busy. I love the first lunch as it's quiet and relaxed and your chances for a tank table are better. Keep in mind that the tank tables are only for parties of 2 or 4 (or 3) only. (I noticed your had 6 family members in your signature, but not sure they are all traveling with you.)

Depending on the time, they may not let you wait for a table by the tank either. They did not let us wait. Said our reservation was for a certain time and if everyone waited for a table by the tank it would wreak havoc. They said we could take the next available table or not eat there. Just didn't want you to get your hopes up. The only time I have been seated there was when I was a party of 2. Maybe you will get luckier than we were.

We ate there for dinner last time and the service was beyond slow. I would try lunch if I were you.

Are you on a DP or paying OOP? Lunch will be less expensive if paying OOP. Dinner will get more value out of the TS credit. Also, the menu for lunch is slightly different than the dinner menu so if there is an item you are looking to have, it might be on one menu and not the other.

If you are a party of 4 or less, I think you'd have a better shot at 4:45 if you absolutely want tankside (not the best seats in the place btw). There's no way all of those people coming in at 11:30 will be done by 12:15 so I'd say there's not much chance of getting tankside at 12:15. Even as a party of 2, we've been seated on the second tier when dining there for lunch later than 11:30.

If you are a party of more than 4, you will not get seated tankside.

Along those same lines...

Last time (since we were a party of 4), we were seated by the tank at the table where the sea turtle hangs out - which my DD loved since she adores sea turles!

Anyway, now we are a party of 5. I'd like to be able to sit in one of those front circular booths facing the tanks.

For what time should I try to book our lunch? (I normally try to book lunches for somewhere between 11:45 am & 12:00 pm.)

Thanks!!

Ya im only bringing my bf lol so were going to be 2 thank you everyone!

I hate to be the Negative Nancy here, but tank side tables are not always the best. On our last visit (we wont be going back to CR anytime soon), my girlfriend and I had a table right next to the tank. It was fun for a while, but we had constant intruders on our meal. Constantly there were kids standing over us to look at the tank and not many parents did anything to stop them. Having kids yelling back to their parents or just in general, in your ear, while your trying to enjoy the meal really put a damper on things. If you don't get a table next to the tank, don't think you are missing out on anything special.

I was going to say the same thing. The one time my DH and myself did get a table next to the tank I actually had children leaning on my chair, and me, to get a better view of the tank. The guy next to me got down on one knee to ask his girlfriend to marry him and a child actually ran into him to get a better view of the tank. not cool!:scared1:
