Haven't seen any posts regarding this 3 day cruise. Beginning to think Mrs. owtrbnks and I have a good chance of getting upgraded to the W. Disney Suite. We'll be at SSR from 12/9 to 12/13 with a DISmastree in the window!
Then off to the Wonder - Anyone else?
(11th cruise, 1st time on Disney)

Just wanted to let you know we are hoping for the upgrade to the Walt E Disney Suite also. 8 total in my group and no one has ever cruised and we are so excited and wish it were not so far away. We booked 60 day ahead so I guess it could be worse.
Among my group are 2 families from rural Texas so we do not get out much. We should stand out a little on the ship so we will probably not be hard to spot! hee hee

49 more days and counting!

Glad to hear from Y'ALL! We'll watch for y'all parking y'all's horses in the lot. Will y'all be wearing lime green 10 gallon hats? :lmao: Betcha wish Friday nite was cowboy night instead of pirate night! pirate:
Maybe we can meet up for a beer. Only 2 of us from NY this time.

:mickeyjum  DH and I will be sailing with you! Nice to know we'll have some fellow DIS'ers onboard with us. :disrocks: This will be our fifth cruise on the Wonder :cool1:

Wow! 5th time on the Wonder - I'm jealous! :sail:
It'll be just me and DW this time. (Kids in college, :cool1: can't go :rotfl2: )
We'll try to wear something Lime Green on check-in day. We'll look like this on the ship: :drinking1

P.S. Do they give out bandannas on Pirate pirate: Nite or should we bring some?

pirate: Yes, they give out bandanas at dinner. The last two cruises we were on they gave out black bandanas with skulls, etc on them, but I remember on the May 2005 cruise when Pirate night was fairly new, they handed out red ones with Pirates in the Caribbean printed on them, really neat. The black ones are nice too, though pirate:

It's just DH and I on the cruise too. No kids yet. We were a group of 8 on the last cruise we did in April. DH's parents and his sister's family were sailing with us that time. If I don't have my lime green on, I'll be easy to spot on embarkation day because I'm usually one of the only people walking around with Mickey ears on and I'm usually acting like this... :mickeyjum

So far it's your group of 2, our group of 2, and the 8 folks from Texas! :cool1: Ought to be easy to find each other. :rotfl2:

:teeth: Yes, and the 12 of us will have lots of space on the ship - I guess no buffet lines to worry about - and each group can have their own restaurant each night :teeth:

Six more weeks :cool1:

1 MONTH TO GO!

See you then "mama" and "Insane." :wave2:
(I'll be the bald guy with the Bud Light.) pirate:

 Hello, fellow cruisers. We're down to less than a month now :mickeyjum

owtrbnks, are you bringing any pirate: attire for pirate: night or just wearing the bandanas provided? DH and I usually just dress in all black that night and wear pirate: Mickey ears.

Funny you should ask. The cruise is a total surprise for my wife. She thinks we are just going to WDW for 5 days to see the decorations. :cool1: Doesn't know we are "staying on" for another 4 days on the cruise. I have been piecing together a couple of corny pirate costumes with stuff I've been buying on Ebay for a buck or 2 (got silk pants, vests, beads, pirate doo-rags). She has a bad nerve disease in her left ankle and has had cancer twice, so I try to not take life too seriously. So . . . I guarantee there will be one foolish looking " pirate: " at the " pirate: " night dinner (If she doesn't kill me when I spring the costume on her just before the pirate: dinner) and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be 2!
Can't wait! (WDW in 22 days)

:thumbsup2 What a "Wonder"ful surprise for your DW! That will be so exciting when you break the news to her. I'm glad to know there will be two other pirate: pirate: on board, so when DH thinks twice about wearing his Mickey pirate: ears because he thinks no one else is wearing pirate: gear I can tell him otherwise ;)

25 Days... :mickeyjum

Insanely Mickey,
OK, on check-in day, we will be wearing lanyards with the "GREEN MICKEY HEAD" dangling from them. :thumbsup2
We're really not interested in hanging out in the terminal with the crowd waiting to board (if that's the case.) Should we get there super early or wait until after ?
I'll BOTL for an excited person :mickeyjum with Mickey Ears!

mamachrix - Where R U ? (Hope U didn't take my comments seriously and get mad.)

:mickeyjum Got our cruise docs today, yippee!!!!!!!!!!! Getting close!!

Ok, to answer your question... if you really don't want to wait around in the terminal, I wouldn't recommend getting there super early because then that's exactly what you'd be doing (ie. waiting). I think the last couple times we cruised, boarding started around 11:45ish. They do the numbered groups now for boarding so there's no long line at the yellow mouse ears waiting to board in the terminal like there used to be. I would think if you arrived around noon, that would limit your wait time in the terminal. Or, even if you arrived around 11:30 then by time you checked in, maybe your numbered group would be boarding by then. I'm the opposite because I like to hang out in the terminal before boarding so we'll probably be there close to 10 AM. When we went with DH's family in April, I was first in line for a picture with Minnie Mouse when she came out - even before all the kids :lmao:

Hey, I just realized it must be getting really close for your WDW part of your trip! How long has it been since your last visit? Is the cruise still a surprise for your DW, or have you burst with excitement and told her ;)

15 days :sail: :mickeyjum

OK, we'll plan on arriving between 1130-Noonish. Thanks.
I've managed to keep my mouth shut so far. :rolleyes1
This year we've been to WDW in Jan, Jun, Jul, and Sep.
This will be our 5th trip this year. :cool1:
Haven't gotten any documents yet.
Getting excited, but gotta stay cool. :ssst:

Got the documents today. :cool1: Free upgrade too!!
Got my GREEN MICKEYs out & READY 2 GO!!!!!!!!!!! :moped:
Leave for SSR in one week. :Pinkbounc

Hey, great news... congrats on the upgrade! :thumbsup2 What a WONDERful surprise! What category were you upgraded to? (if I may be so bold to ask...) We're in a category 6 this cruise for the first time, we usually do the category 7 navigator's verandah, but we were able to get a FL Resident discount on the cat 6 and no discounts were available on the cat 7 so it ended up cheaper to do the higher category this time. I'm quite behind on preparing for this cruise. Been working lots of extra hours the past couple months so I'm behind in just about everything. I do plan to do the online check-in forms this weekend, though. That saved lots of time at the port in April having the forms already in the system.

Two weeks :mickeyjum

We booked a Cat. 12 Guarantee and got a Cat. 11 on Deck 7. :cool1:
It was sounding good to me - until I heard about your balcony, er I mean verandah. :sad1:
(We got to peek into a suite with a verandah once, to see how the other half live.) :lmao:
At least we'll have the "s-cr-t balcony" at the rear of our deck! :rotfl2:

I guess that's one advantage to waiting so long to have kids - extra cash available for verandahs :p

Yes, you'll have a nice big :ssst: verandah to enjoy on your deck. I finally ventured out :tiptoe: to visit that on our last cruise - no one around.

13 days :mickeyjum

Oh Man! Why didn't you tell me that 20 years ago? :rotfl2:

Maybe we can hold the :ssst: DISmeet party: on the :ssst: deck.
See you guys in 13 days!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

WONDER what happened to the peeps from Texas? :confused3
