Well, origionally she is from where I live, Cape May, NJ (about 45 min south of Atlantic City). Since being in the Coast Guard they have lived here (NJ) twice, Galveston, Texas, and Cape Cod twice. They are in Cape Cod right now. Her DH does have a brother who lives in SD which will be nice. They have no idea WHERE in SD they will be since it is government leasing. She says they have over 20 different places it could be because it is Navy housing.

How funny, my dad lives in northern Jersey and I've been to Galveston many times...used to live in Houston.

Well, I love SD but it is expensive. I wish them luck with their leasing efforts!!!

:teeth: Well it is a small ......! (Don't want to get anyone singing in their head this late at night!)

They do realize it is expensive. Cape Cod isn't cheap either so my frugal friend can do fine! :)

Ok, I should go. I didn't realize one of my DD's passports expired in Oct. I am having a bit of trouble locating her BC! :scared: I have to get up in the morning and go to the court house to get another one. Night all!!

World After All. :rolleyes1 I'll do it!

We love that song. Dennis and I met on the Small World ride at Disneyland...September 1967. Handsome soldier, he was.

Jordan,
Wendy is great! She has some great info on DVC! Thanks for talking to her. I think I will just wait till I go to Maui in April and look at time shares there.
Mark

Mark, do you have your reservations already? I can see if I can get you the promotional deal at the Westin if you want - not sure what the offer is now, but we got 5 nights/6 days, plus $185 car rental credit, plus $75 resort gift certificate for $779 - at the Westin that's a great deal. I think if you're not an owner you have to go through the presentation but if you're looking that might not be so bad - if you're interested, PM me and I'll get your info from you and see if I can wrangle you an invite. April might be a bit soon, but you never know.

Wendy

Thanks for all the support. My aunt went to heaven about 15 minutes ago. I just got the news from my cousin.

I am correct that we do NOT need passports for this cruise, right? I have mine and DH has his, but kids don't and for the cost, I wasnt going to do it. I know any cruise we take after this we will need them, but we're okay, right?

I just read about the kids club not being open on the first night for drop off. And I remember Lisa posting somewhere else that the graduation show for the kids club was mvoed from the last night to Thursday night.

What else has changed for the kids clubs?

You are correct, we don't need them. I have passports for all of my kids, but one is expired. Oops! So I need her birth certificate for this Saturday and I can't seem to find it! :scared:

I can actually picture you on the floor with your computer. Hey Lisa, is your hubby working in DC? How's that working out?

LOL! NOT fun. DH moved the desk this morning before he went to work at 5:30 am! :worship: I will be unplugging this thing & moving it over there IF I ever get caught up. :)

He doesn't leave until Monday. :( I thought that it would be Thursday though. DD isn't looking forward to it at all.

Do you think that we are kidding? Unfortunantly two of us lost our cameras to the water on that cruise. :(

Yes, that is correct. I have put more info on that thread too. The other big thing is that the PJ party has been moved from Pirate Night to the other night that we are in port so the kids don't have to choose between the two activities. :) I think that this is a great one!

LOL! You got 1200 too, Jordan. That was luck though since so many of you were chatting last night. :)

Actually, I think the easterners fill up the thread so the West coast folks can just top it off with the cherry!

I can't believe all your chatter last night! And to think I was trying to put together one of those football games for the school carnival that I'm chairing. And since I've brought up the subject, just a little venting to a caring bunch of folks ---- can you believe with over 585 students in our school (not sure how it equates to number of familes)...I only got 40 people to sign up to help for our carnival?!!! I have 150 slots to fill with the games, food, prizes, etc. I almost cried today when my volunteer coordinator told me that. I know we're all busy parents, but if you want these events at the school, ya need to give up 1 silly hour!!! Okay, stepping away from the soap box...thank you all for listening...

back to the world of cruising.....

think happy thoughts....

think Castaway Cay...

think spa....

okay....I'm fine now....
