It is. On the couch, in the living room, watching TV.......

They do have wireless now onboard. It is only available in limited areas like the atrium area, Cove Cafe.....and a few other places I can't think of.

Funny, as chatty as our 12/10 group was, none of us posted while on the cruise. I think lillygator(Vanessa) posted once.

No way! I'm not going near a computer when onboard. We were all too busy meeting up with each other then. :)

I cannot beleave how many posts I missed, and i've only been of 7 hours. My DH asked me this morning if I was having withdraaaaaawls. :scared1:
I reminded him to get me his last paycheck stub today so I could figure out the taxes. He said I just want to hord it into my Disney fund. He is so smart that hubbie of mine. :cool1: Any way I wanted to be able to pay off our week at the world, becouse I know I wouldn't miss the cruise for anything, thats a given. Gotta go abuse myself. :scared:

Brenda---When did you go to WDW? We went on the land/sea December 11-18. We had the package paid for but all the "extras" went on the credit card. We're kind of in denial because when we got home, our new Disney Visa came, we could transfer the balance from the last cruise and put this cruise on it for 0% for 6 months. Somehow though June will sneak up on us and then it will be, "oh no, we have to pay!" At the same time, everytime I buy something at the grocery store or Target I think about more money for our trip. We don't even want to think about taxes, this is the first full year we've had our business, might be ugly, I guess that's why we pay the accountant the big bucks. Hope your'e not stuck doing taxes all day!

Angie - I have two boys 7 and 9 who would love to keep your DGS active. And I would love it if they did. Hopefully we can introduce them sometime!!
For sure! We have 11 months. I have sent Joy my DS's email so her little guy and Aaron can penpal. I don't think they have started yet. Will get his email to you also. Are you going to be at WDW prior to the cruise? We will be there M-F.

I got the picture from my DBIL redneck party... To bad I couldn't post it. Not that saavy. I'll ask DH tonight to help me, I tried but it wouldn't work.

Girl scout- We have never been yet, I mean prepay sorry. I decided if We ok I wanted to go so bad I would have it all paid for before we go and no credit card bills after. I'm trying to spend less on stuff. I have enough to pay off the cruise but I want to use it to buy airfare in two weeks when the dates come out for our return flight, Then we have to pay off the rest, or live in the wdw gutter for a week, Do they have gutters or no need for them? :scared1: Brenda

I know the feeling about not wanting to spend the money. every time I see something I want, I think I have to save it for disney. The lady I started doing home health care for (for more disney money of course) is going to las vag. this coming weekend and really wants me to go. she is like 38 maybe. I would only have to pay airfare and my spending money, I've wanted to go for so long but I kept thinking 3 days at las or 1 or 2 more days at disney. Gee what do you think won over, let me think for a min. oh ya it was....more disney days :rotfl2: The weather has been nothing but rain here, so sad. We are used to having so much snow by now and I love the snow, but there hasn't been any. Brenda

Great. My boys loved walking around the ship saying hi to all their buddies. Made them feel extra special. So getting to know some friends before the cruise would be great.

Sadly, we will not be at WDW. We're flying in the day before and then we're hoping to stay the week after the cruise to hang out with my parents before Christmas.

But hopefully we can meet up at the dismeets and we can certainly do emails.

Thanks.

West coaster, are you guys planning on using Disney air or are you going to look for air your self? Last cruise I booked my own. It went fine. But lately the price of air fair has gone up a lot. I think we are paying $500 per-person witch includes transfers and the hotel the night before. I think I can get a better price on air but with all the transfers and the hotel it might be a good deal. What do you guys think?

I'm having the same problem. Last time the TA booked everything, I just paid. This time I'd like to have some input but it's all so confusing. :confused3 We'd like to come down on Thursday and fly out Saturday night. I think I need a Disney's air would cost $1500 for four people from Des Moines to MCO, I don't know if I can do any better and I'm not sure that includes the deviation for going down early. My TA suggested that we go ahead and book the air and if airfare goes way cheap we can drop Disney's air anytime before the last payment (September for us). Who knows, we've changed staterooms three times, and can't even decide which resort to stay at. The only thing we know for sure is that we want to go to MVMCP on Thursday, the 7th and the cruise on the 9th.

DGS, We let Disney book our first cruise that went fine...but I have heard some stories that Disney does not book your air seats together and the time is not what you want. So, last time I did it. It went fine. But with air going up I just got it just in case. I think you can get a better deal if you do it your self. That means more work for you. So that’s where I am do I do it or just let it be? :confused3

We have done this trip from Oregon 7 times and have always been able to get airfare for half of what Disney charges. We wait until late Aug to start checking (I use BookingBuddy.com which lets me check many websites, expedia, hotwire, priceline and airline sites, only putting in your info once) and have gotten airfare as low as $200 per person. Usually $220-250. Last year we paid more, but I got anxious :scared: due to the rising cost of fuel and booked at $362. It did go down to $250  about 3 weeks before our trip. Disney is always at least $400 from Portland. The other drawbacks with Disney booking is that the seats are NOT assigned, so your family may be split up and you cannot select the time you fly. Friend here at work did the 3/4 for honeymoon using Disney air and they had to fly at 10 pm on their wedding night. If they had booked themselves they could have taken an early flight the next day.

OK peoples, I slept in on my day off and you all went crazy! 5 pges and crazy ideas! I really really need my beauty sleep people.

Lisa thank you for the event time for the Chocolate Meet!

Meet time is now 11 pm. Atruim, pick out your treats then we will head up to the Cove for coffee. I am a cran/vodka drinker as well, so there maybe some of that around, too. May be some cards, how knows.

There will be no throwing of chocolate, what were you all thinking, this is chocolate, it goes in the body, not on the body!

:rotfl2: I don't know WHAT we were thinking. :faint: We just got kind of out of control! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, Penny...we now know that you don't spend much time around young children. ;) Give my DD chocolate & it will NOT all end up inside her tummy. :)

Hey all of you 12/05 cruisers....

Where are your trip reports :confused3 ??

:chat: I guess you are too chatty to do your assignment?! :rotfl:

Thanks a bunch, Mark! :flower2: I'm entered! I would be fun to at least KNOW someone who won! Pixie Dust to us all!

I called costco to book our flights as that is were we booked our cruise and was told it would be $655. great deal add it to the package. O.K. that will be $2600 for airfare and ... for the rest of the cruise. WHAT THE .... That price is a peice. I think not, thank you, I'll go alaska for $300 each, have a good day. When I called walmart about our trip to the world that wanted $500 each, I don't think so. I might take southwest into seattle and then get jet blue, but right now JB is $450 from sea to mco. way to high for me. If I can get it under $300 when our return date comes out I'm booking it, no chances here. Just got my email back from DU and I'll probly book with them for the wdw week, its only $7. more than wdw sight and DU will do the code watching for me. Gotta take the kids to teh wrestling meet. off I go again. Mum

Sweet Mickey...

you all sure do talk fast on this thread!!!! I take a few days away from the DISBOARDs, and like 1000 pages are added... Jordan must be trying to set a record... :goodvibes

Angie... yes, if she's up to it, I'll bring her again.. She's never done the Western, and wouldn't mind seeing it. I just will have to economize...perhaps skip Vegas this year.. but then again, going to Vegas might help me take more cruises :teeth:

I think the 2/18 cruisers think I am a little nutty with all my cruises... But I can't help it, I am hooked.

We can't go to WDW the week before either. Our oldest is already going to miss 5 days of school. We're hoping to fly in the day before also. We're planning to spend 4-5 at the World after the cruise.
