Ibrandi and Becka - shame shame you hijacked that thread - you aren't suppose to be telling others about our cruise date. You'll have too many people coming here to peruse what has been written and I don't think in my present frame of mind I could handle a heckler. :teeth: :stir:
Sorry mom.... :guilty:

of course I am a Publix gal (sorry John1 and John2), they originated in Lakeland and I love them.

No need to apologize V . . . Now, if you lived within a reasonable drive . . .

(who probably has no chance of catching up tonight - DW is working)

As I catch up again before getting back to sewing and laundry, I have to get all mushy for a moment and say how much all of your posts can make my day in different ways. Some stuff that made me smile recently:
the bat that pees, the kid who pees, youtube, childcare management tales, awesome kindness, what's for dinner, cranky children, bad mom moments, library and office DISing, uninformed spouses ... and so on and so on. Thanks, everyone!
Thanks Marielle...you are such a sweetie!

Home work is done, DD in bed. Doing the happy dance!!!! I admit to getting an electric blanket this evening for her to get her to stay in her own bed.

Last night the 2A visit just did me in this morning. What could I say though when I grumbled "Why can't you stay in your own bed!" She replied "How can you expect me to do that with all of this body heat in your bed"

Too cute! :rotfl2:

we had snow flurries today. my thermometer said it was 40 but with the wind chill I guess it was cold enough for flurries. I am not ready for this yet.

Alright, no more talk about the white stuff! :teeth:

This is a little difficult for me as well. The last time I drove to the port we drove inside the fence and next to the left side of the building. There a porter took our luggage (except what we were carrying) from us. Then we drove out of the gate and across the street to park.

Has this changed?
:confused3

When we drove, we checked in with the CMs then parked right next to the building and unloaded. We then parked in the lot right next to that, not across the street. From what I am gathering, you can drop off people and/or luggage at the shuttle/taxi drop, then go park (or leave to park at the hotel in my case). I think you would only do this if you wanted to be further up in the line of people to get in at 10. I need to do it because then we all don't need to take the shuttle. I guess I will more or less be treating DH as a taxi driver. :rotfl:

It wouldn't matter if you did. Good people are Good people no matter where they live. I have lots of friends who live or have lived in trailers.

And bad people are bad no matter where they live - several here in town live in mansions.

:thumbsup2 Kim

Hey, I'm still stressing about how we're getting to the port!!! Now I have to worry about car lines, shuttle lines, etc., too????

Now, here's the planning challenge:
There are 11 of us (3 different flights set to arrive at MCO Friday around dinnertime). (Mom & Dad driving separately; don't worry about them.) Have to get us all (and lots of luggage) to the Residence Inn (where Karen and I will not know each other or Jodie the bride). Then have to get all 9 of us (and all that luggage) from the Residence Inn to DCL.

And once you have figured that out, figure out the best way (efficient & best use of $$) for the return transportation: On Saturday, 2 go to MCO (but have a later afternoon flight) and 9 go to Universal (as early as possible so the coaster fans can ride to their hearts' content). Then, on Sunday, get the 9 (group of 4 and group of 5) from Universal to the airport for their separate flights. Got it??

Hire the Hummerzine like some others are doing!
