I just got an email from DS's teacher asking about the cruise. She is brainstorming to put together an independant study for him!!!

lots of anxiety over the weekend but the teachers received an 11th hour contract last night after 3 years without one - and we were all in school today.

Over the years I've changed certain things based on where I have traveled and some have stuck. In ATL everything is Coke - orange coke please. I kept my Pepsi fix hidden. In KC,MO I think it was Pop or was that Cincy? One was soda and one was pop can't recall which.

When I worked in New York (Upstate and Manhattan) things were different and when I lived in Manhattan I specifically changed to waiting online vs. inline.

I believe the 2 sites should be quite different.

I am considering my timing on this myself. Since we just went to WDW - I thought it would look bad if I announced the cruise shortly after returning. I was hoping to wait until parent conferences - but that may not be until Nov. and I feel funny waiting that long - seems sneaky.

Vanessa and all - can you help me with the basket issue too - I'm not that into getting al ot of food items and candy since we will be eating all week. What else would be fun and practical for the ship?

Lisa had said before that Shirley will do just about anything but I don't even know what to ask for. Are there sand toys available at CC or should we get them in the baskets?

DD enjoyed the sand toys but really loved the DCL binocs. She sat on the veranda with DH and looked out over the ocean.

Alright fellow creative Disers...need your help...

A friend of mine's parents will be having their house destroyed since the kind State of PA is taking over the land for a highway. They live near Philly. She is looking for an idea of what they can take/do as a keepsake from the house before it gets destroyed.

I mentioned take window moulding/doorframe moulding and create either a picture frame or mirror.

Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks!

Depending on how old the home is door knobs can be taken and attached to wood to make hooks.
