So what is everyone having for dinner tonight?

I have some pork chops marinating in one of those bottled Lawry's marinades. I have never tried them before. This one is something like garlic and cracked pepper. I think I will make some rice and a salad to go with it.

Shrimp in veggies with green peas and cabbage.

I did my part by eating my dinner at the computer as well.

A football coach walked into the locker room before a game, looked over to his star player and said, "I'm not supposed to let you play since you failed math, but we need you in there. So, what I have to do is ask you a math question, and if you get it right, you can play."

The player agreed, and the coach looked into his eyes intently and asks, "Okay, now concentrate hard and tell me the answer to this. What is two plus two?"

The player thought for a moment and then he answered, "4?"

"Did you say 4?" the coach exclaimed, excited that he got it right.

At that, all the other players on the team began screaming, "Come on coach, give him another chance!"

Ya know, I really have to be careful...when I venture out on the main cruise boards...I always want to post something that I would post here...on the smart and sarcastic side....but they don't know me like you guys know me.

Take for instance that thread out there now about "What services the concierge provides"....I wanted to post...."They even rub your feet honey!!"

Guess that wouldn't be the most appropriate thing to say to people who haven't posted with me for the last few thousand posts, huh?!

ya know....I must be the only parent in DD's class that doesn't have a cool interesting job. No sirens in my car, no cool masks at my job....

I want to do something like teach skydiving, coreograph for the Swashbucklers, house mom at the Pike house, be the Dunn's River Falls photographer, name the OPI nail polishes, write the Cosmo online vampy journal, design hot strappy heels, drive the parasailing boat, anything but what I am doing!

So here's my mixed heritage answer: the thing with a crust is chicken pie (there's no pot involved, people). the noodle thing is chicken pot pie (I know it's not a pie, I can't help you there; but there is a pot).

I am way behind in the posts, so this may be way OT, but so what - adds to the count =

Marielle is absolutely right on this. My family was many years ago PA Dutch, and even though they moved to Ohio and bought cars, the recipes remained. My grandmother taught me how to make REAL chicken pot pie - in a pot, no crust, homemade square noodles. the other stuff is Chicken pie (you don't call apple pie apple pot pie, after all).

I know what I will make this weekend.
