I can't even imagine my DH doing Eliza's hair. It makes me laugh! The other week he changed her diaper during church and put her stockings back on. They were the kind with the ruffley butt. He had the ruffles in the front. When I asked him he said "What? I made sure to put them up front." Dads try...but they just don't get it.

He hates to have to pick an outfit out for her. He says that no matter what he picks it doesn't suit me!!!

:lmao:

I cannot tell you how many times my DS puts the kids clothes on backwards. :sad2: He has a real problem trying to put together an outfit for the kids that fits, matches and is the right season at the same time. They seem to be mutually exclusive of each other. I really shouldn't complain since at least he attempts! :)

I saw this on the news. :sad2: The one game that I think should be banned is dodge ball. I HATE HATE HATE the thought of anyone throwing a ball as hard as possible at one of my kids...or anyone else for that matter. You know that it is always the same kids throwing the ball. :(

I hate dodgeball also. I think I'm still traumatized from playing it in grade school. :duck:

Not it! Mass. elementary school bans tag

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) -- Tag, you're out! Officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase game during recess for fear they'll get hurt and hold the school liable.

Recess is "a time when accidents can happen," said Willett Elementary School Principal Gaylene Heppe, who approved the ban.

While there is no districtwide ban on contact sports during recess, local rules have been cropping up. Several school administrators around Attleboro, a city of about 45,000 residents, took aim at dodgeball a few years ago, saying it was exclusionary and dangerous.

Elementary schools in Cheyenne, Wyo., and Spokane, Wash., also recently banned tag during recess. A suburban Charleston, S.C., school outlawed all unsupervised contact sports.

"I think that it's unfortunate that kids' lives are micromanaged and there are social skills they'll never develop on their own," said Debbie Laferriere, who has two children at Willett, about 40 miles south of Boston. "Playing tag is just part of being a kid."

Another Willett parent, Celeste D'Elia, said her son feels safer because of the rule. "I've witnessed enough near collisions," she said.
The kids in the Frackville building where I teach are not allowed to play tag. We are a town school and their entire playground is ashphalt. There is a little playground area that is mulch. Due to the lack of grass if they ran around playing tag they could really get hurt. It is a shame but we really need to make sure they aren't hurt.

No PJ on 12/1?

Nuts.

I can get your mom a job bagging groceries here, and guarantee that she is off on 12/1.

John, she has arthritis in her shoulders, but she does have 35 years payroll experience, lol.

Pj

No Pj on 12/01 :sad2: , that is unless I win the lottery and do both, :woohoo: .

Hi all...
Heard a report on the radio about this (after shopping in the complex that includes IKEA) and had to share some of the info from a new Stanford study on internet addiction (or "problematic" internet use). Now, this wouldn't apply to anyone here, I'm sure.
13.7 percent found it hard to stay away from the Internet for several days at a time.
12.4 percent stayed online longer than intended very often or often.
12.3 percent had seen a need to cut back on Internet use at some point.
8.7 percent attempted to conceal non-essential Internet use from family, friends and employers.
8.2 percent used the Internet as a way to escape problems or relieve negative mood.

Marielle - I don't think you have to worry. None of this will apply to us here! :lmao:

I can't believe the number of posts still...

:rotfl: Gee Karen...you must have been bored with all of you news reports!!!!

My Internet connection is trying to go out on me! :scared1:

I am actually up to noon today but if I lose my connection I will never be able to catch up!

Someone HELP ME!!!
