I didn't think canterqueen could be a man either but I had forgotten that Devon was a horse fan and groomer. Glad that mystery was solved.

Kristina - why did you put flew in quotes "flew" - are you casting DIS-persons about our little tin can with the rubber band?

the plane interior is about the size of a VW bug - probably less roomy - you are shoulder to shoulder in there. I actually keep my seat pushed all the way back so that Ken has more elbow room.

I'm not sure where Andy put all those long legs of his.

The plane is great for destinations where there is no direct highway route - but you don't always save time - it's just more fun. By the time we drive to the airport, pre-flight the plane, check the weather, tie down the plane etc etc. We went to Block Island with it this summer - which would involve a long drive and a ferry trip.

uh oh - I had veal marsala at the DIS meet dinner - they always cover that with mushrooms - usually canned mushrooms though - they almost don't qualify as mushrooms.

I eat raw mushrooms too - love to dip them in ranch dressing.

as for fighting - I think once you have been together for a while you have pretty much had one of every fight that you can have. So when I notice that we are starting to have the same fight again, I just quit it.

We always agree about the big issues -I think that is what keeps us together.
and the frequent travelling helps too. LOL.

Good morning, everyone!
Work and school.... who wants to wake up for that? We could just DIS until cruise time.

I will say this about fighting . . .

Amy used to get mad because I would not get mad! Go figure! I have a very, very, long fuse (no comments Caroline or Brandi) you know what I mean!

She is now used to it. I told her, I grew up in an ethnic family where there was fighting, yelling, and shouting EVERY day - it was a way of life for my whole family, and to a large extent still is.

I had enough of that. Even when I hear them yelling today I just shake my head.

I have found even with my kids that when they pull the getting mad thing that when they see they can't get a reaction out of me, it changes the situation entirely.

Of course smiling or laughing at someone who is mad can sometimes have the effect of making you duck as objects fly in your direction.

This is actually the our dynamic. We don't have the yelling families but Jason will not fight. I learned early on that it wasn't worth it to try and fight with him. I like not having yelling and screaming matches. My DH is very very laid back. He also has the "laugh at someone who is mad" syndrome.

Hey Amy,
My new (first set ever) golf clubs arrived on Friday. DH and I went to the driving range for a short time tonight.
Did you buy that stylish banana club?

I think in the whole time I have known John I have only seen him get really really mad once and it was at his sister.
I saw Jason get mad 2 times ever....once at a Wendy's employee and once at me.

This is very ominous sounding... I'm now wondering how long a legal name change takes and if I will have time before December 9?
I sent out my passport when I got marred for the name change and it only took about 2 weeks. I have no idea other than that.

wow - I never knew so many people had aversions to mushrooms...I love them, a nice grilled portabella can taste like a filet if correct properly! In college I would saute up mushrooms and onions, sometimes still do. Besides bananas there really aren't any specific fruits or veggies I don't like aside from brussell sprouts. YUCK!

Foods - I can't eat sloppy joes nor tuna casserole.

John - you went a little crazy with that site eh? I shouldn't be surprised that there are people in this world that would use a banana theme for their kitchen......

Monday---how many birthdays did I miss? I better check the site.

Jaea loves pea soup - grandma makes it from scratch and she always asks for it. We just buy the canned version and I think we have tried every one. She doesn't like the thinner health food store ones -she likes the fatty stew variety. I can't et anywhere near it - even the smell gets me. ugh.

Me too!!! Yuck! When I was in HS and College I was a waitress..I hated when we had pea soup on the menu!!! AAHHHH!!!! on our last cruise the first night I told the server...If I order something that has peas please tell me. Do not bring any plate that has peas on them and we will get along nicely! He laughed but I did not see a pea all week!!!!!

That most certainly helps! ::yes::

I have to go to church today to help serve a funeral luncheon. One of the members passed away late last week. His funeral is today and after they go to the cemetary they will come back to the church for a lunch. They always need people during the day (most are at work.) My Dmom will keep the kids and I will go up there. His passing is a blessing. He has been in his own world with alzheimers for several years. The last year he has been having many other problems.

Good Morning.

I hope everyone gets through Monday.

I am going after work to enroll in bananaholics anonymous.
