Ugh! It is miserable out right now. Looks almost as bad as when I left for Baltimore!! The new tires are sure to make a difference driving though.

At what age did you leave your child alone for the first time??? This was a heated discussion last night during football practice.

I think DD12 was about 8? when I would leave her at home while I would run to the corner store. It wasn't until last year that I wouldn't worry about her if I wasn't home when she got off the bus, and the beginning of this year before I let her stay home to babysit. I kept telling myself that she was old enough to babysit for other kids, why not mine?!?!

I noticed that too Brandi, I think we surely scared her off. And I don't blame her!!

It was probably about the time she realized that John1 has an actual real inflatable banana. She probably thought up until then that we were really just kidding....now she is afraid we might be serious.

Thanks everyone for all of the cyber-hugs!

My DFIL is is now conscious, but not talking. He looks at you if you speak to him...will hold up one or two fingers when asked to. We feel much better about his situation, but the doctors say not to get our hopes up too much yet.

We were too tired. I actually asked him this morning why he didn't snuggle with me last night when I went to bed and he said he did or at least he thought he did. I don't remember. I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow and I think DH was the same way. No holding, snuggling, pricing or even watching TV.....

I just noticed our related threads and for once I can actually see how each of them got there. Maybe we are such a strange group that we had the little dog confused so he could not pick related threads for us very well. It looks like he is getting better....

DD13 took a babysitting course when she was 11, so she's been alone (and babysitting her siblings and other kids) since then. Before that I'm not sure if I ever had reason to leave her alone. Our neighborhood is very friendly and there are lots of stay at home moms or grandparents around as backup.

Well since we now only have 2 cars in a 3 1/2 car garage I got plenty of room ...Plus the ceiling is a good place too .....
