What are kids dressing up like?

Since it will be outside...it's what I will let them wear & run around in. DS will probably be Spiderman again like Friday night and DD can be Hermiome.

I used to drive a small train like the one at the park. I did it for three years in college during the summers. It was the most fun.

We have a couple of the Terry Brooks Shanara series autographed. We have a thing about getting books signed. :)

That is cool! Did you get to meet him?

BTW Angie, my boss was in Oregon last week doing a wine tour. He is a big wine snob.

This was on the page of the year we got married . . .

Missed it! We went out to look at some other cars . . . looked at the Mercury Mariner Hybrid. Also took a look at the Lincoln MKZ - nice car, but I am beginning to wonder if I will feel old if I buy a Lincoln (it is a smaller, more sporty car with AWD).

We also went to dinner at Olive Garden.

Angie - we really have no choice at any of our stores...they just can't get the help. PErsonally - I like to bag my own groceries. THen I can organize them as I bag so it is easier to put them away. But we've never gotten any price break.

Don't laugh, but I put them on the conveyer belt the way I want them bagged...

Todd loves when I tell him off, makes him humble, lol.

hubby told me about that Karen because he works for a company that makes those bar code scanners. but we live in the sticks - not a high volume area - so I am sure it will be a while before we get that.

then no one will know the prices though right?

Of course I know the prices. :goodvibes Milk for example....4.17 at HT 2.97-3.10 at WM. I get 2 gallons a week along with their generic cheese crackers for 1.25 for a big box which are nutritionally better than the brand cheese nips. :thumbsup2 I have limits to how much I will spend on an item. You would probably gasp at my stockpile. I don't shop with a regular list. I scan the sales, gather/order my coupons and then hit the store getting 10-20 of an item if it is at the right price for me. The only things that I buy each week are milk, OJ, and bread (at the bread outlet for .47 a loaf. ) I can go a month or more without going to the store during the holidays/cruise and most of the summer except for those items because I have stockpiled it.

AH! 1997...the year DH & I were married.

Nuthin' at our house. :sad2:

Because it is so cold and often snowing, we take DD and her friends on 4 wheelers trick or treating around the neighborhood. They think it is a blast!!!

Whoa!! Never seen anything like that. That is high tech!

The nice part is that they randomly do spot checks to make sure people aren't abusing the system. After you are checked out, they pull 3 or 4 items out of your cart and make sure you scanned it. For that minor inconvenience, they give you $5 off your next visit. I haven't heard of anybody misuse it. I only do that once in a while...it is at our mega grocery store...they even have a supervised "drop your child off to play" daycare while you grocery shop. Between that, the chinese take out, coffee shop, deli, pizzariea...you can shop for your favorite groceries....but all those little perks mean LOTS of people. I go to the other store to avoid the crowds. For some people, going there can be entertainment. When I hear they have their own Gourmet Cheese manager who does nothing but purchase specialty cheeses...I knew it was gonna be crowded.

My kids wouldn't make great buddies. They are little. Jake loves the kiddie rides...but Eliza obviously doesn't ride anything other then the train. We will pay per ride...we will get them wrist bands when they get older and ride the bigger/more expensive rides.

We sometimes do PPR too..... A ten dollar book goes a long way...

but a few rides on the Phoenix or Twister sucks them up big time
