Do you mean the Uscans? I love those. Most of the people in town don't use them and I can bypass the long lines & get out of there.

Yes, those things. I Target has them too. I think they should give you a price break of some sort for using them. It saves labor costs for them.

Our school district has a holiday tomorrow (and had a half day this past Friday for teacher in-service). Tomorrow is Yom Kippur and a lot of districts in the Philly area have off for the Jewish high holidays.

See now i always thought that YK holiday was in honor of my b-day....

I use Tide as well. I did use dreft when the kids were younger just for their clothes. I used vinigar then Tide on the cloth diapers though. I picked up something else...I think that it was purex and it resulted in DD & I getting a terrible rash. Once I figured out what it was I had to wash everything in her room to stop it.

Don't your grocery stores have the scan while you put in your cart and then when you get ready to check out, you put the scanner in this machine and voila you're done? No re-bagging....no reloading...just scan, bag and drive off.

We used Shout gel on all really bad stains. (i should have had stock in it)

Then we put washed all in dreft.

Yup Dreft smells so good and so does Neutragena(sp) babysoap... but I love the stock comment because since Lance was born I asked Chapel Hill Peds if they wanted to let me purchase stock or honor me with a special award for showering them with many appointments. It is sad but funny when your DS goes over the counter at the Dr office to hug the receptionist because he knows her so well.

the town of Woodstock has a fantastic Halloween celebration every year - the whole town turns out and all the retailers give out candy. There is a big parade and costume contest. There are lots of artists here and political escapees and the costumes area always GREAT. It's a really fun nite. One of the galleries has a haunted house and our old nursery school has Scaryland. you get to see everyone that you don't see all year long. packs of girls dress as witches. families have themes like at WDW. couples come as famous couples. and for the kids way too much candy.

the last several years have been really warm and it is perfect when the weather cooperates.

I actually like Halloween now and never did before.

The kids are invited to a birthday/halloween party that night. They have a double lot with a HUGE back yard. They will have games set up and different trick or treat spots where they will be filling up their pumpkins.

What are kids dressing up like?

I defer to the chemist, Aaron, on this issue, but to me detergent does what detergent does even the store brand $2.49 bottle. I never buy name brand detergent.

Me too. But I do swear by Oxyclean. I used it last night on grape juice stains on my favorite Mickey shirt. Forgot to put the apron back on when I helped DrHug with the chemicals and then cleaned out the crock. Oxyclean dissolved in a little water poured on the stain and all gone!! Used it on my rug downstairs for a several day old grape juice stain after Aaron's last visit here too. Disappeared like magic.
