I'm making a T-shirt quilt right now for all the guests to sign at a bar mitzvah party. I thought that was an interesting idea. One of the T-shirts has his photo on it.

Is your family Jewish or her friends family?

OK one more comment because this caught my eye.

About half her friends are Jewish. Monday is even a public school holiday (it's Yom Kippur). But we're Catholic; as a matter of fact, DD has to be an altar server at Mass tomorrow evening and will be late to the bat mitzvah party!

We always buy lemonade from the little kids. We stop whenever we see a little table set up on the corner. They still do that once in a while in our little town. DrHug is kind of leary of little unwashed hands stirring it up and usually doesn't drink his, but I firmly believe that no one has ever died or even gotten sick from little kid lemonade and always drink mine.
