We have had PC since it began. When it was just chocolate chip cookies, :rotfl: . It also has a bank under the PC label too. Now the Loblaws stores, where PC started, and no frills, Loblaws discount stores, carry the PC, a yellow label no name and one or two other brands through out the stores. It was line of products that were picked by the President of Loblaws that he found on his travels, there are some really awesome products in the PC line.

Wow, I did not know that Loblaws still existed. They had a store or two here when I was very young, and left the area because they could not compete with us. We have withstood a lot of competition over the years. This latest has been the biggest threat to us.

I think it is Columbus Day and only the feds recognize it. DGS has to go to school, then gets a 5 day weekend the next one. Conferences on Wed and Thurs.

It was a day off for the kids here. At least they didn't miss a day for the trip. ;)

Lisa - I enjoyed the video clips. I loved the one of your daughter at the golden mickeys! That is so cool!

YES!!!! A GREAT SURPRISE FOR THE DAY!!!

Especially after financially being very concerned for the future.... OMG double the Childcare!!! yikes

That is fantastic!!! Just think, in another couple years the little one could be wearing it too. ;)

I finally weaned myself off of Dreft - just too expensive - ok that is one price I know. But I did feel guilty that I was washing the twins clothes in "regular" detergent. LOL

John they are one of three full service grocers up here. We have Loblaws, Dominion, and newest is Sobey's (from the maritime provinces.) All other discount grocery stores are subsidiaries of the big three. Loblaws actually has the discount No Frills, and the all in one to complete with Walmart, Canadian Super Store.

Oh Lisa!!

Tonight we had reheated pork roast and potatoes with gravy. I put the roast on yesterday morning when I figured that we wouldn't be able to go to the neighborgood

. DD & I woke up from our naps at the same time & went over with the guys. It took her a little while to brighten up but after eating some manderine oranges & grapes the sparkle came back to her eyes and she was playing with her friends. A couple families went in on renting a big bounce thing from the base. The kids had a blast!

So how is everyone who has been fighting off our own personal virus? My DH now has it and trust me it is not fun here with DH sick!!!!!!! Today Lance and I took a 3hr nap!!
IT was nice!!! Grocery shopping and laundry were the other exciting things after church today. DS is out of school tomorrow and he will be at work with me.

Well DH banished me from the boards yesterday when i got home from DD's state baton championships.

:cheer2: DD's Poms team took 1st place :cheer2:

(Really exciting considering one of the girls broke her foot and they had to learn new formations just a couple days ago) What clinched it was that the team (who took 1st from them in the last comp 2 weeks ago) before them messed a few things up with their routine and one girl had even left one of her poms of the ground during a formation (when she should have picked it up).

DD's Baton team only got 2nd place though.

(Some baton drops on simple tosses dropped their scores.) At least they placed this year. Her group is mainly all kids newer to twirling and they didn't do so well last year.
That is great news! I hope she had fun while at the championship!

Dreft didn't have the cleaning power to get those baby stains out. (too many of those scary explosions not contained by the diaper... enough said). Baby laundry joined the rest of the laundry with Tide.

Our local gov recognizes it ;) (one of my new job perks)

my mother did not have a washing machine until my younger sister was born. washed diapers and all by hand. We were a Tide family.

My DM just came and yell at me to turn down the TV volume, but I ears are blocked and I can't heat it otherwise, lol.

So has anyone who watched DH informed Jodie that we found our bridesmaids dresses for the Dis wedding?!! :rotfl:

Speaking of grocery stores...our local Fred Meyer (Kroegers) is now encouraging us to check out and bag our own groceries. :furious: I refuse, what's in it for me??? :confused3 I can go to the no frills store and do that, but I get a good break on the prices there. Cannot for the life of me figure out why they think I would do the work myself and pay the higher prices. :confused3
