We currently live in Idaho Falls, Idaho. We moved from Las Vegas last summer. We needed to get out of the city!

We have some from Las Vegas, and some from Utah too . . .

We are early dining - but there is a good group both early and late.

I just finished The First Ladies Detective Agency. It's a novel about a female detective in Africa. I just started The Chosen, by Chaim Potok. I also love Harry Potter and am eagerly awaiting book 7.

DW reads a lot of mysteries - she has read all of the Janet Evanovich books. I have read all the HP books, and looking forward to #7 too!

The last book I read was the Alienist by Caleb Carr - historical crime drama - a bit gory, but an interesting book.

Oh well, better try bed with this Wendy's tummy anyway. 6:00 will come all too soon.

So should I book limo r/t from MCO to Residence Inn and then back to MCO post cruise or should I rent a car?

Depends on how much you want to spend and whether you are comfortable driving there on your own. We really enjoyed having towncar take us there, but this year we are trying it on our own in a rental car and saving $$.

I am not a yeller. I am also not a NO crazy mom. I save it for danger things...like her trying to climb the oven and pulling on cords. She does things my son never did!!! She is a tiny vaccuum...she finds everything and tries to eat it!!!

Brandi, I hope you didn't read that to mean I think you say no too much. Just saying that children don't like it when they are told no and I have never liked to be told no....I still pout sometimes even if no is best for me.

Those are some very dillusional parents trying to hide everything from their children. They are going to wake up one day with kids who are sneaking out of the house and doing everything that their parents were afraid of.

Ah, just let me add - from experience - that the children of even some fairly permissive, softie, pushover parents will sneak out of the house if given the chance. Luckily, with given the proper values in their young years they won't get into too much trouble when they sneak out.

We've been watching Picnic with William Holden and Kim Novak on Turner Classic Movies tonight. Made in 1955.

I am afraid I will have to keep DS home from preschool tomorrow. He was coughing all day today. When I got home from choir he was REALLY coughing and has a runny nose. He doesn't have a fever and was playing just fine. I don't want him to get worse there. I also don't want him to get others sick. Would you keep your kid home or send him?

Uh huh! See we are all just passing Allie's cold right along from one to the next! Too many going on around here during cold season I think.

Catcher in the Rye is one of my favorite all-time books.

But that's not the point - you may not like it, but would you want it BANNED from the library? There is a huge difference there. I respect your opinion of the book, but you are not telling me that I don't have the right to read it or like it.

No, John1, I would not ask that it be banned because I didn't like it. I just like our local HS better. They have a list of books that they can choose from and must read X number of books from the list per term. But they are not FORCED to read a book that they and/or their parents find offensive anymore than others are not prevented from reading that same book.

And the Korean War Memorial! Oh my! When you walk past that the eyes of the statues in the field follow you and you can just feel the cold they endured. Amazing! Love that whole city.

Oh, and BTW - No one wears jeans to church - all suits, ties, and mostly dresses. Until I went to another church as a young adult, I thought everyone went to church that way!

That is funny! I was raised in dresses at church and my brother was always in a suit. I still cannot go in jeans even though people all around me are in jeans. I have no problem with others wearing them, I just cannot. I see my Grandfather everytime I even THINK about doing that! I have been able to wear slacks and a nice blouse, but still am uncomfortable.

Thanks for the responders to my last post. I am married and have two little girls - Dani, the six year old and Emily, a 3 year old. I'm an RN in an ER and very much in need of a vacation. This Disney cruise is my first cruise. I'm also very much a novice at computers. I have never chatted before online. So, I'm looking forward to getting to know you Disney experts.

One of the things I'm hoping to have time for while on the cruise is sitting on a lounger and reading a good book. Any recommendations?

Deck 4!! Although I have never been able to read a book there because I immediately fall asleep! Those Deck 4 lounge chairs are just so comfortable.

Too bad the dates for '08 aren't out yet. Maybe they'll be out by our cruise, and we can discuss. I know we can't all make it for December as several have said so . . . I would change times of year to have fun with this group!

Some of us have been together before, Angie, Lisa, V, and us . . .

Do the rest of you guys think of this as kind of a weird "blind date"?

Who knows - when we meet in person, you may really want to run for the hills!

We are really hoping for some fun new stuff in 2008 because it is the 10 year anniversary of the Magic. When it happens is not important to us, just WHAT and WHERE!
