It is a slow day on the boards so I am doing my part to get us to 60k before the cruise.

well, if you decide to stay in late, there are several 7yo boys he can hang with!

Our first cruise, we were linked to a bunch of other DISers on Late dining. Youngest DS was around 4. What on earth was I thinking?!?

Let's just say "ugly" doesn't begin to describe it. When he wasn't asleep by the entree, he was melting down. The others all had kids that were at least 11 years old.....and mostly teens. The teens ended up at their own table after the first night and I was stressed to the max about how DS was acting. No matter how many times someone says "don't worry, he's not bothering us".....you just KNOW after a while, it's O-L-D!

It all worked out in the end.....I wasn't made to walk the plank or anything. But, we haven't tried Late dining since. Just the thought sends chills up my spine!

I understand your concerns with late dining. We were WLE on our last cruise and I was really worried about not getting switched over. My kids are not happy tired kids...they are CRABBY tired kids. People say not to worry about it but it is so stressful for me that I have zero fun because I can't relax.

This is another reason why I am so thankful to Lisa since she was able to move WLE to Early it is less stress for me.

I had to go to the dentist today. I had a root canal a year ago that has never felt "quite right". Well yesterday I ate some really hot oatmeal and the heat from it shot pain through the tooth so I knew I better have it checked out. The dentist wants me to call an endodontist and have the root canal redone.

My DH also had a root canal done over a year ago and it wasn't feeling "quite right" earlier this summer. He went to an endodontist for a re-do. They discovered the original dentist (very reliable guy, wonderful in fact -- did mine a few years earlier) left a smallish piece of metal way down inside his tooth area. They never mentioned it to him.

The re-do isn't helping, either. It's starting to hurt again.

So, do you think that's kosher to have left the metal in there without telling him? The only thing I can figure is it was some kind of dental implement that broke off and it was too hard to get out.

Such a charming subject to chat about, huh?!
