Before I say something that is wrong to my 'virginia' group here -
the shuttles from the airport cannot be reserved, right?
One of them just emailed me and said that he and the travel agent "set up shuttle at 11:00 puttig us at the ship apprximately 11:40am"
I thought they waited until full - first come first serve - and left for port???
thanks!
diana
The Disney Shuttles go on their schedule, not yours, but you do need to reserve a spot.

I like watching lost. dh lost interest in it last year but I am still hooked. I wonder how everything will work out. hopefully walt & michael find someone to come kick some butt.

I loved the last 2 seasons but I'm not very enthusiastic about a new season. I'm not a big fan of any show that drags out really slowly and never really gives satisifying answers to the questions it raises.

I liked Lost when it was character driven and not mystery driven. If we could cut out all the "Mystery" and get back to just general reflection and learning to live together on the island I would enjoy it again.

I can't believe how many posts there were last night. Could someone explain to me what time the boards are on? I can't figure it out and I am just curious.

DS had to stay home again today. he wasn't on antibiotics for 24 hours. thank goodness he can go back tomorrow. he has now missed 7 out of 30 days.

DH told me that I should just take the rest of the week off from work. He just doesn't understand that nobody does the work for me and I just come back to more piles on my desk.

OW I better go get dinner going. we are having salads and baked potatoes. nothing like a quick "healthy" dinner. DS & DD have already begged for pizza.

I'll try to check in later. keep up on the postings. I really think you guys can hit 50,000 by cruise time. I will do a little to help out. have a great evening.

Missy

Missy,

I keep forgetting to comment on your post concerning the Bengals and Cincy pride - I think it is great! You guys have suffered an awful long time with some terrible teams (although you have been to a Super Bowl), and you deserve to have some fun. If it can't be the Browns, I would want it to be the Bengals. Cincy is a great town and a great area, and we always enjoy it when we get to visit your city.

Thank you! We have XM too and really enjoy it! DH keeps it on in his office too.

I ordered a Sirius radio in our new car - I want to try it, and you get six months free with the radio.

Anyway, if it helps at all . . .

1. ACTIVE listening to music (we have it on in the office to, but I am not counting that) about 7 hours - I listen to music as I walk the dog daily.

2. Kind of music . . . Rock and Roll, folk, and we wee bit of classical

3. Music is a definite 10 for me!

Oh - you asked about damage - started thinking about the rug and food - got sidetracked!!! LOL

I had a good bit of internal damage (to the knee) - 2 severed tendons and severed quad muscle - had surgery in the Great Falls, MT hospital. They said there was so much swelling, they weren't sure if it would be enough (that I might have to have more surgery later). They even recommended one of the best clinics in the country (Campbell clinic which was near my home in Memphis, TN)....anyway....I didn't need more surgery, BUT I was in a removeable cast/crutches for 9 weeks and was in physical therapy for 3 months (maybe should've gone longer, but got a job). I really had no problems for years until about 2000 when I squatted down to look at something on a low shelf in a store. My knee hurt for months after that. I finally got in to see a surgeon, but the pain was better. He did an MRI anway...there is a torn place under the kneecap that could use repair. He said call him the next time it started to bother me, and he'd get me right in. The next year he moved away!!! I didn't really bother me anymore (at least on a regular basis) until about 4 months ago - now it hurts again quite often. Not bad enough for surgery, though! I'll tough it out. OH - and there is an imprint of a bear tooth on my shin at the bottom of the scar that you can see on the xray and feel!! Freaky!!

Diane,

I'm just curious if you don't mind sharing - how did you guys get away from the bear? What happened to the bear?

I went with Sophia's class on the field trip to the Cleveland zoo last year, and they have some Grizzlies (as well as other bears). Those guys are HUGE, and the claws . . . . I don't think I would ever want to meet up with one.

Have you all noticed how much the posting slows down about the dinner hours? I imagine we are a group that likes our meals.

We are eating a bit late this evening so I am hanging out while the homemade french fries and burgers are cooking.

Sophia leaves tomorrow to visit Williamsburg and her Aunt there. She is so excited that she has already packed her wheeled Barbie suitcase with all the toys she is taking. She also has a seatback holder for all her essential stuff on the ride down.

Amy also made me pick up $25 worth of snacks for her and my SIL and MIL for the trip down. About the only healthy thing they told me to buy is grapes. It will be a Junk food Junket.

John1

Do any of you guys ever try to do laundry on the ship (we try not to). The laundry rooms can be like trying to break into an enemy bunker. The most I try to do is iron, and lately we send our clothes to be pressed on the ship instead of fighting over the one of the few ironing boards.

Anyway, I was really wondering how much purple Downy will now be on the ship, or purple Tide with purple Downy in it.

John1

Everyone must be eating or installing satelite radio . . . .

John1

Won't stop me from having a little talk with myself though . . . at least until I hear "Dinner"!

John1

Just doing my part on the 50,000 post challenge.

John1

Lisa,

How does that thing come up with suggested threads?

Can we try to influence it?

I may try an experiment sometime when I am bored and by myself like this.

John1

Where's Todd been?

I swear he hasn't said much since he had to go find some aspirin.

Maybe he is out hunting that horizon somewhere . . .

John1

You guys tired of this yet?

Are you praying Amy calls me to dinner?

Or are you glad you can just breeze through these pointless posts?

John1

I interviewed people for jobs all afternoon.

I asked the girl who set up the appointments if she had fun thinking what kind of an afternoon I would have. I swear I interviewed Forest Gumpp's extended family today. Except that Forest had more teeth than one of them, and more sense than several others.

Thank goodness I also got to interview some High School kids. They had more sense than the adults.

John1

We are hiring some part-time workers - mostly students, but a few adults who may only want to work a few hours a day during the week.

Maybe all of you filled out applications for the motley crew that came in today so that I could waste a perfectly good afternoon.

One was a 49 year old guy who told me he told his mom and dad before he left that he hopes he gets the job. 49 and still living with mom and dad. What does that tell you?

John1

Of course my brother is 41, and my folks live with him . . .

But, he does have a job!

John1

Did anyone notice I got post #31111 a while ago?

Do I get anything for that?

Is the 10,000 club like the "mile high club"? (I think Todd will know)

Oh well, DINNER!

You can now go back to your regularly scheduled posting.
